Behind the Dodge probably an early 50s Chevy fastback.

Yes indeed. They called that fastback style the Fleetline as opposed to the one with a rump, which was a Styleline. Haven't a clue how they got either name.
I think it might have been model hierarchy, but I don't recall what order they were in.

Something the domestic did amusingly, devaluing model names - names like Bel Air and Galaxie were once top of the line, became base. meanwhile, the import competition kept names in their positions.

It's a 1960 Jag MkIX. Not my favorite Jaguar.

It's a 59 Ford and the script says Ranch Wagon. I guess the Del Rio nmae was dropped by then.

I'm not familiar w the "DelRio" name but IIRC the two-door 1950s Ford 2DR wagons were all "Ranch Wagons". OTOH I dunno why anybody would buy a tank like that w just 2 doors.

I think the DelRio was an upgraded Ranch Wagon, but could be wrong.

I think the 2 door fullsized wagon only lasted until 1961, although a little longer for Falcon.

A ‘60 Ford approaching, a ‘62 Country Squire leaving, a ‘63 Buick behind the approaching Ford, and a true mystery car ahead of the Country Squire.

I thought Pontiac but didn't post because they all seem to have some chrome trim running front to back on the hood and the trunk.

It’s a Simca 1204. It was playing the role as the vehicle driven by Joe Mannix’s secretary Peggy Fair, played by Gail Fisher, in at least one season.

You’re right, 1100. The 1204 was the boxier one.

Kind of a Zagato body shape on the silver car but I don't think it is.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,661
Yup, that is a Zagato body. It's on a Porsche 356 known as the Porsche Abarth a rebodied , souped up version.
