I noticed that none of the pictures showed the VIN plate, so who knows what the VIN truly is.
The wheels are correct, they were the standard wheel for the T5 that yr.
Still, if you are happy w/ the bottom line that is all that matters.
However, I seriously doubt the wisdom of racing a 94,000 mile car.
Its just autoX. The thing that gets punished most is the tires.
So what about a value?
I'm prefer to hold out for a 5-speed, of course, but we know I could grow old and grey before that comes along.

Even better, they have a 2005 Saabaru 9.2x. Black, with a 5 speed. Believe it is the non-turbo model. Only about 10K IIRC, with 65K clicks on the odo.
That seems like it should be a nice little auto-x rat mobile.

Trade, guys, for a car that's otherwise just off the lot with 2500mi on it?
the volvo is a bit pricey for my taste. and no way i'd buy a non-turbo saab (or subaru, for that matter).
well.... hmmm... maybe a impreza 2.5RS?

It's possible that Acura had an end of year bonus for their dealers.
Maybe a unit bonus or other incentive.
It's pretty rare that a dealer will step way all over a trade well above what appears to be the market value.

That is a nice car, 2006 was a good year because it got some safety upgrades that boosted the side impact scores significantly from 2005.
It's only 2-3 years old and Subies hold their value. I was just in the Impreza threads and lease residuals for a 3 year lease were close to 60%.
Those were $25k or so new, and 60% of that is $15,000, right on target with Volvomax's wholesale estimate. That would be with 36k miles, though.
The price is fair, not low, but fair.
Having said that...does he really need to have a Limited? Because he can find a brand new Legacy SE (Special Edition) with most of that equipment for a little over $20k, so he may want to consider a new SE model. Those are a great value.
The Limited package adds leather, seat heaters, wiper de-icers, heated mirrors, and a 6CD changer. But give that up and you get a car 3 years newer for almost the same price.
Basically what I'm saying is that the SE package is a better value than the Limited package. But if he insists on heated leather, we love our 2009 Forester Limited.

Again it is brand new, but I am curious what low mileage similar vehicles are being auctioned for to give me an idea of what I should be aiming as an offer price.
Thanks
I am looking for a Mercedes/Volvo station wagon- older- 1985ish.
I need the engine to be in good shape, the body does not matter.
I know it is hard to give an answer, but approximately how much would a car run? I would assume it to be one of the less expensive models.
Local car dealer said around $600-$1,000.
I am not looking for a 'classic' type car.
Thanks
But, alas, it depends on the dealer, area, and specific case, as always.

If you pass let people here know, maybe someone else will be interested.
Like, it's been in a $12K accident that didn't show up on carfax. Or one of those bmw paint damaged cars--I almost bought a '99 or 2000 e39 that turned out to be that. Or the OD was replaced.
Or the owner is clueless. Or e39 wagons not popular in AZ? (???)
I still like the briefcase idea tho--even if you had to fill it with $10's or $20's to fill it up.....

Judging by the guys house and other vehicles, I think he just wants to make it go away. It's been replaced by a E350 Merc, that according to him "they were giving them away" Good thing he still had space in his 4 car garage.
Too bad I was the second one there
Sounds good -- hope it works out for you.
If the dealer wanted a loss like that, they would have taken the car to the sale.
Everyone thinks their Benz wagons are worth all the money.
Still, I doubt you will find a good car for under a grand. You may have to spend $3-4,000 to get a good one.
Retail on the bimmer should be close to the same.
It's rule #1 whan dealing w/ someone who is proud of his trade.
I have a Miata now and I'm looking to move up (probably to a new or close-to-new Miata, but a roadster for sure).
I don't think I'd even consider a Boxster that wasn't under warranty for a very long time, at least 3+ years. And I'm not sure I'd own it beyond that point, either.
And the funny thing is my buddy owns one and I love it.
Still, I just have this gut feeling that ownership costs would be 4 times what they'd be for my Miata.

I know what you mean; I lust after a 993.
That said, my Mazdaspeed3 is proving to be less reliable AND more expensive to run than my 1995 3 Series.

It SHOULD be.
I have been looking at Auto Trader, Edmunds, Car Max. The ones on Ebay seem to be newer. Any other sites you can think of? It sounds stupid, but I would like a cream/yellow or white car.
Thanks for your time.

just to speak up in sbuhler's defense, he didn't say he would offer trade-in value, only that he wanted to know what it was to base negotiations on.
Personally, I'd do the same thing. Find out trade-in, factor in profit/markup, and factor in the 0 miles factor. So we could be talking an extra $3k-$5k than if the dealer took it to auction themselves.
Not to say your assumption is incorrect, vmax. The poster certainly COULD be looking to offer flat trade-in value. But we probably shouldn't assume that. Benefit of the doubt and all.

I have 34.5k miles, manual transmission with brand new clutch
18" wheels, silver with red interior
Car's in good condition a couple of scratches that buffing didn't take out on the right door.
I owe 18k on the car, how much will I lose when I trade it in? I was hoping not more than 3k to get rid of it?
No accidents but I had both my side windows replaced due to attempted theft.
Thanks
Dealer is probably hoping for a rube to take the truck.
My advice is to look for an 08.
