Hi All,
I’m looking to lease a car for the first time, I never owned a car.
I spend the last month or so, researching and learning the lease formulas.
There are few cars I’m looking at, and the 2105 RAV4 LE AWD is one of them, on average I see MSRP of $26,160 (I live in NYC) any idea of real price? and monthly price I should pay for term 24/36 12K no down?
also what is the MF and RV for both in NY?

I'm looking to lease a 2015 RAV4 Limited in Portland, OR. My mileage will be very low -- less than 10K / year. Probably a 3-year lease, but I'd consider other terms if there was a good deal. So, my questions are:

* what lease durations are available from Toyota for a RAV4? Where is the sweet-spot?
* what are the MF & RV for Portland, OR for the relevant lease durations?

Not certain that Toyota offers 10K miles per year leases.

24/12 residual - 72%

36/12 residual - 63%

MF are highly regional; looks to me it's .00075 for both 24 and 36 month lease terms.

No - Toyota does not residualize all their options equally. Dealer has to look up the residual value based on VIN # and will often be different than the numbers we have.

Our documents have the following statement on them:

Base MSRP Maximum Lease Residual Percentages

Leasing a Toyota is much more challenging than leasing a Honda, or a Nissan, or a .....

Hmmm when I plug your numbers into my calculator, I get a payment of $222.60 after tax. They might either be marking up the MF or the net cap cost is higher than the sale price they gave you. Ask them for the net cap cost and if it's higher than the sale price, make them explain why.

Residual is always based off MSRP.

I was at the dealership today, they tried hard. Here you go with some info.

Vehicle price: $28,699 (MRSP). 74% residual is based on $26,640 (base price before accessories and destination charge) = $19,714
Customer rebate: $500 ($750 is on 36 months lease)
Sale price after rebate: $24,840 (originally $24,590, but of course they didn't tell me about lower rebate amount on 24/12 lease)
They tried to get extra $299 from me for Protection package (which is small piece of rubber on door's edge LOL). I told them to take it out.

Registration fees: $101
Title fee: $95
Docs fee: $168.43
Electronic filling: $25
Sales tax: 7%

Originally he wanted $380/mo and $739 down (including first month payment) but I laughted into his face.
Then came down to $280/mo with $669 down.

I made my calculations based on these numbers. I rolled in all fees and it came to $280/mo with first month payment only. They declined, I walked away. Now I'm expecting a call on Monday

I get $331.50/mo with your numbers (I assume the cap cost includes the taxes already and that the residual is a hard coded number, not a percentage of MSRP).

63% for 36/15. .10 per mile charged for anything over 15K, or $900 for 18K per year.

Where is this? Toyota numbers are highly regional, though the 36/12 residual is 61%. Tax obligations for a lease are also dependent on where you live.

Use the pricing tools at the top of the page (make / model / year) to help determine a target price.

Without knowing the MSRP and selling price, we can't help you model a payment.

Can't tell you what the June numbers will look like, though the residual values are good until 6/30/15.
