Exactly, it's a 1996 BMW 318ti or as they say in BMW speak an "E36 Compact". Not the prettiest or fastest of Bimmers but reputedly one of the best drivers.
Well at least it wasn't a pagan ceremony. That thar be a Lotus Elite....um.....hard to tell the year on these things from one photo...probably early 60s.
Did you know that they originally planned for the Bug-eye Sprite's head lights to be retractable? Undoubtedly they figured out that it would bump up the price too much.
It is a mid 70s Fiat but not a Strada, which was based on the architecture of the pioneering Fiat 128. The yellow car has it's roots in an older Fiat design.
Fiat 131, I remember a few of these on the road well into the late 80s, in the PNW. There was even a wagon version in the area where I lived as a kid, unicorn car now.
Yep, it's a ** 1976 Fiat 131S** , Fiat's last RWD sedan IIRC; it was basically an updated Fiat 124 although non-Italian variations of the 124 sedan remained in production for many years afterward long after the 131 disappeared from the scene.
The Fiat 131 was a mate's dream car and he bought a new one as soon as he left Uni in 1981. I think it fell into the "Dreams not fulfilled" category and was quickly replaced by a Holden Commodore. Had a nice, twin can engine which sounded sporty. Given the number sold in Australia, they must all have fallen or rusted apart as there are few around now. Not a single used one listed on the major Used Cars sales site in Australia
NSU Ro 80. I used to think the one I passed on way to church in the 1970's was the most desirable car imaginable. Pity thast reliability of the engine was its weak point as everything else was so wonderful.
I sure don't remember the 131 badge but our next door neighbor decided not to buy the Toyota or Datsun he had been considering and bought a 131 instead. Same color as the yellow one in that photo.
The car was a total pile of junk and he was soon to regret his decision.
Fiat left the US market with their tails between their legs leaving owners to fend for themselves.
Ah, but they returned and now own Chrysler. Go figure!
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a "reply" button? Oh well.. the car looks like a '50 MG TD with Jack & Jackie. Sadly, brother Teddy's Chappaquadik brave moment involved a '69 Olds.
RIP Mary Jo Kopechne.

MGTD ... Greek caption on the pic indicates it was taken in 1953
yes, taken on his honeymoon. Nice that he took his wife with him that time.
I don't know a MGTF from a MGTD but I recognize a QOTD when I see one.
All '67 Chevelle Super Sports were 396's.

Those are M3 wheels but the car is a lesser model, US Spec with some mods but mostly stock in appearance. Anyone?

Yep I think that's a real Ghibli
Yup, it is an original 1970-ish Maserati Ghibili. The photo is a great illustration of why pop-ups aren't a very good design solution.

That's the "300" version of the car I think, not built in real large quantities IIRC.
