Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Went to look at a new truck today.
I liked it but it has max tow, so large side mirrors.
Other than that, I like it.
Similar to what what I have now but next trim level up.
Would be swapping the V8 for a hybrid.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
not sure that is much of an issue now. Plus, I highly doubt among his 1.5million subscribers, are many Tesla groupies.

Re: I spotted an (insert obscure car name here) classic car today!
I don't know why this caught my attention enough to take a pic of it, but this morning at Aldi, I spotted this '04-07 Malibu. As far as older daily drivers go, I swear that generation of Malibu is the Ohio State Car! I see them EVERYWHERE... though definitely worse for wear in most cases.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
my default mode is to assume every used car for sale is available because it has potentially catastrophic issues, otherwise it wouldn't be! And proceed accordingly. That was the argument that my mom always made. Since 2005 I've bought a half dozen late model used cars sans a PPI and none of them suffered from an even remotely serious issue. Depreciation continues to be one of my best friends.
For a long time I went with my gut feeling when I looked at used stuff. Usually worked out OK. But I think cars these days have gotten too complicated for my gut to keep up. So I would need to find someone I trusted to do a solid PPI (which I don't have now).
Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Not many of these around. Too bad they were so unreliable. They were cool cars if optioned correctly.

This caught my eye. What great fun at at relatively modest price.

I have a Bose rechargeable speaker with Bluetooth. No cables.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
I watched a legit street cars video last night, and Alex (Mr. LSC, seems like a really good guy) was buying his latest project car from a used dealer, across the street from a Tesla store and he commented that the entire front row along the road was nothing but Cybertrucks, and made a comment about how the bloom was off that rose.

Vacationing (retired, isn't everyday vacation?) in coastal DE. I've seen more than 2x as many Cybertrucks on the trip as Lucids. I dig exclusivity, but only a few days left to take advantage of the $7500 lease subsidy...
Still haven't fully made the use case in my mind for a BEV.

Re: Edmunds Members - Cars and Conversations
well, the use is if you have a problem in those 10 years that would be covered.
