I'm thinking since you're in OH like I am, I will eventually hear or see something about that auction.
Re: 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV Lease Deals, Incentives, Rebates, and Prices
The dealer does not get the money. They aren't the owner of the vehicle. The leasing bank gets the money. The incentive to the consumer is whatever they say it is.Dealers can't keep incentives. The tax credits go to the owner of the vehicle. On a lease, that is the leasing bank. Those incentives can be passed along in any manner the manufacturer/bank chooses. (or not)Thank you, that is true. For leases, it is a commercial buyer to whom the income restrictions do not apply.
So the manufacturer knows upfront that they are getting this $7500 back in 72 hours, and the consumer should know that when leasing, the credit doesn't exist for the consumer but rather for the dealer/mfr (on eligible VIN) if they need to use it for marketing/sales purposes.
Basically the $7500 clean vehicle credit only applies to consumers for tax purposes if they buy, not if they lease.
If I had realized this, I would have used the $7500 clean vehicle credit as a negotiating tool simply to lower the gross capitalized cost (vehicle price you're starting with). Meaning, my starting point for price for a lease should be MSRP less $7500, because the dealer gets that in 3 days, before any money upfront from the consumer and any "lease cash" being offered. Do I have it right, now?

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Only drama was the salesman got into the passenger seat to show me the features. We filled it up and I headed home. There was a wreck on 24 and I was a good hour away when he called asking me if I saw another customer’s drivers license in the passenger seat. I didn’t see anything.
He called back an hour later and asked me to feel around and I found the other dude’s driver’s license in the space between my center console and the passenger seat. I was almost home and the other customer asked if I would turn around and come back…. Umm no.
The salesman drove to my house and picked up the DL. 3.5 hours each way because the guy was flying out on Tuesday. I offered to take it to FedEx on Saturday and overnight it if he paid for the shipping but the sales dude opted to come get it.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Successful pick up of the Heritage blue / portobello 4Runner limited. Several random people commented that it was a beautiful truck.
They did do matching tint on the front two windows at no charge for reasons unknown to me.
Drove well on the way home.
Pics tomorrow

I am at the stage in life where I don't want to have to navigate systems to get local news, or find sports channels, or watch Judge Judy etc.
I am willing to pay for convenience and get the channels I want.
It isn't my money, I am spending my children's inheritance money.
In all honesty if it was just me I’d have internet only. I could care less about the rest. I get my news from the internet and don’t watch much TV
My kids and mom watch the most.
YouTube and maybe Netflix would be more than enough
