Re: I spotted an (insert obscure car name here) classic car today!
Yesterday was my hometown's annual 'Heritage Days Super Cruise' show which draws about 1,000 cars yearly and is filmed every year for the 'Lokar Car Show' on Motor Trend TV I think it is. I went.
I didn't go last year but heard this car was there then. 6K miles.
I'm not a fan of '55 Dodges....but I'm a huge fan of low-mileage, original cars. The current owner, I remember from school. He was doing work for a lady in town a few years back and looked into the garage and saw this Dodge her Dad bought new. All original now except rubber parts underhood, brake parts, fluids, tires, and he added a dual master cylinder.
He said that's what the paint looked like after a wash and wax.
He said no rust, but I do wonder about the underneath. He said it's in great shape underneath.
Great to have all the new-car paperwork. You could see the old Dodge dealer from where this car was parked yesterday. The building is now Greenville Tire.
Funny, a female classmate of mine is N.W. Moyer's granddaughter and asked me years back how she could find a car her grandfather sold. I told her it was nearly impossible...and now this car shows us and never left town!

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Need to stop by the VW parts department Monday to get some aftermarket things. It needs color matched door edge guards and those covers for the lower door sills. Not sure if a pin stripe is necessary either.I'd pass on all of those things.

Minis apparently don’t ride very well and are kind of dorky-looking in Countryman trim. I suspect when the rubber meets the road she might start singing a different tune…
DIL describes her father's as like driving a gokart.

DM Sound just did an audio review on the base 6 speaker in the 25 Maverick. It got a D minus.
I’ve had both. The base system was pretty weak but the B&O is much better. May not be audiophile standards but sounds good to me.

I went to the Ford website, anything to put off mowing the lawn today, and they list the Employee Incentive.

Here's a Maverick at my local dealer. Employee discount is the same as the Ford website but they list an additional dealer discount of $1000.

nicer but a lot more money. My BILs Cobra kit is a Superformance with a 427 Rousch. This one does have AC. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1966-superformance-gt-40-mk-ii/
to finish off the trip to fantasy land, I love this. Not as exotic but at least I would not be afraid to drive it (and nothing to do with value). Plus my wife could actually get in one of these. More my style for sure.

Re: Acura Owners Club - Meet the Members
Yeah, I was in the same boat. Really liked the engine and transmission meshed together so well. My BIL really liked his, and I think he kept it for quite a while. I believe it got traded in for an Infiniti G20 - green over tan.I remember driving an 86 base Integra in medium metallic blue, 5sp, ac. I really liked it and marveled how sewing machine like the engine felt and how the great shifting transmission, clutch were coordinated. Sadly too expensive for my situation then.
