RWD --No, discounts aren't taxed. CAP reductions are taxed.
So the discount is taxed up front? Sorry to be ignorant -- I am working on a deal and running my numbers through edmonds lease calculator does not match up to their numbers

No lease incentives

Re: 2025 Hyundai Kona Lease Deals, Incentives, Rebates, and Prices
We don't have anyway to verify your credit. If the score is 655, then the money factor will naturally be higherThey offered this and after negotiations offered:
1st and tag down, 36/12, $449+tax/month.
Money factor: 0.0029.
Depreciation: 66%.
Your thoughts?
Thank you!.00250 MF and 66% RV33311
What is your location?
$500 incentive
I get $458/mo plus tax with your prices.
The MF is marked up the max allowed.
Shop around to see if you can do better.
Thank you for this!
But they pulled my credit, and according to the paper they showed me, it’s 655 in Equifax. Though Credit Karma app shows 721. But apparently, they calculate it differently for lease purposes.
So, they told me the lease is going to be +$50 because of that = $499/mo.
Isn’t it too much? Or is it okay in this case? Thanks.

This story should make some of you happy:————————————————https://youtu.be/WyaqGoFcTvk?si=_EFIx3XgTIePfeTN
I’d say all of us.
When my Dad thought me to drive he was adamant about staying out of the left lane except to pass. His words were, “just remember when you’re in the left lane, you’re only borrowing it to pass slow moving vehicles. Get back into the right lane as soon as you can”.
Being the good son that I was, I listened and passed that onto my sons. In today’s lingo, that’s called paying it forward.

Wife got a promotion. I’m waiting to hear what the new salary will be. I’m quietly hoping it will be enough that I can consider a new career. What? I have no idea.

Re: I spotted an (insert obscure car name here) classic car today!
When I was in HS, my mother’s friend had a friend who had an early 60’s Dart for sale. It had the slant 6 and the push button automatic. It was a coppery brown color with a tartan interior.
Can’t remember now why I didn’t get it. I always thought it would have looked good painted dark blue.

I was close to making a punch today, but decided to think about it…
I was behind a white one this morning and I see the appeal.
