So I hooked up the Carver to the ADC speakers and I immediately noticed that neither tweeter was working. I got out my digital multimeter and verified that the tweeters were receiving a signal, but when I disconnected a speaker and put the test leads on the speaker's connections it showed an open circuit. That said, it's strange that both tweeters failed, but I suppose it is possible (I replaced both over 20 years ago). I'm going to do a bit more detective work but it looks like I'll be in the tweeter market.

Hmmmmmm...that would be quite the coincidence. Not sure what those tweeters are. I would think some sound would be coming out, even if it's not very pleasing. Leads are good? Crossover? Parts Express would be my first call.

I'm like you. I think I can fix ANYTHING related to my media set ups. That said, my desire often exceeds my capabilities and my stubbornness exceeds everything. Plus, I'll spend 3x to fix something rather than buy something that works.

Earlier today, I was up on a ladder trying to adjust a garage door opener. It was the big garage where they are 12 feet up.

I don’t know what the heck happened but the ladder tipped over. Did my damndest to land somewhere safe but didn’t win. Although I suppose it could have been worse. Landed on the ladder back first. Long story short, I have multiple fractures in my left scapula and 2 busted ribs. Sending me home tomorrow after a follow up X-ray to make sure my left lung remains inflated. So, yeah. I was scheduled to get get my motorcycle license mid Sept with my son. Guess that’s off the table.

Sounds painful. Was it a 8' ladder? You didn't go past the 3rd to last rung did you?

When I broke my arms years ago I had to joke "you should see the other guy." Unfortunately, not as interesting when you hurt yourself.
