Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
But one of my local dealers has one of the pre-increase models on their lot for $28,500. Financed over 48 months at 0% that would be a monthly payment of about $600, which seems like a fairly good deal these days.
The Maverick gets c. 40 mpg on average. Should be a functional and long-lasting vehicle for the money. The Maverick hybrid is one of those vehicles that was probably designed in part because of CAFE regulations. It's one of the good vehicles to come out of that.
Even though there was a $2k increase in the price of the base Maverick, that's still seems to be only a c. 8% increase if my math is right. But iirc the tariff is now 25%, which would seem to mean that Ford is right now absorbing more than half of the tariff, or am I missing something?
As far as I've heard, Ford isn't planning to move production of the Maverick.
Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
Wow. Zero percent interest. Nice. With a catch, I'm sure, but in the current rate environment, that will cover a lot of dollars. Consider, for example, a $40K loan at 6% interest. That's about $5,100 in savings.————————————————
That is a nice savings and I’m sure a lot of buyers like 0% interest.
Now my question, can you finance the full MSRP? I realize most folks have a car to trade but what if you don’t?

Re: I spotted an (insert obscure car name here) classic car today!
In front of us today, ‘65 Impala. Not a bad line anywhere IMHO. Left turn signal on, no bulbs out. In background see the Goodyear Blimp, housed just a couple miles from here.
Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
The best thing to do is wait until August when they haven't sold anything for a month.

Re: I spotted a NEW (insert make/model) today!
For $13k you can get all kinds of neat colors on the Macan. 'Regular' colors (besides black and white) are a couple of grand.Ah, we never shopped the EV. Didn't know the paint was that high. (though it was $2900 on the unit we bought)
