Hard to believe as it is built in Mexico and is a volume seller. I can only imagine a sad event should I need body parts for the Arteon. Won’t go there.I can’t comment on what’s happening with the VW right now because it’s becoming a thing - other than to say there is no parts anywhere.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
I took an hour for myself today and took the Porsche up north for a drive with the top down. Tomorrow is the 8 year anniversary of me escaping the hospital after an illness that quite literally nearly ended me. Needed some time to clear my head and it was a beautiful day to do it.
Put about 50 miles on roundtrip and man - the more warmed up this car is, the better it is. I didn’t even listen to music. Just the sound of the engine behind me, rowing the gears on some curvy roads. Better than any therapy I’ve had.

This one's an automatic, but...love yellow. but there will not be an AT sports car in my garage.

Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
nothing specific. more of a concept at this point.I finally came up with a good reason to start wheeling and dealing cars. My right knee hurt today!
When I drive a long time without a break I get a pain in my right knee. Eventually works itself out but I limp around a bit for a while until it gets better. But using cruise control can help so I can move my leg around instead of keeping it bent on the gas pedal. Unfortunately, on the roads I drive longer stretches on regular cruise is pretty much useless since I have to keep hovering over the brake pedal at all times.
so the answer is, get a car with fancy adaptive laser cruise. Hey, I'm old and comfort is important! The wife has creaky knees also so she is sympathetic to that issue. I just won't mention that the RDX has it. Will just point out how she often has issues with Apple CarPlay glitching on her.
That does seem like a reason to trade-in your Maverick, which lacks adaptive cruise control.
And if the CarPlay doesn't work well in the RDX that's potentially a reason to trade that one in as well.
What's on your shopping list?
but I think my wife may be having mental issues. Or maybe had too much fun on our just ended vacation. We were at the market today and I pointed out a nice looking Boxster and we agreed that the owner should not be allowed to keep it and they should give it to me to take care of (someone did the cardinal sin of parking that beautiful car right next to the cart return. hurt me in my soul to see it). Though she did express concern that she would not be able to get in and out of it. Same comment about the nice C8 Vette parked outside the shore house last week.
I mentioned it being one of my dream cars, and unprovoked she said if I want one, we could afford it, so just go buy one and could leave her car outside. I almost drove up the curb at that comment. Then she said could just sell hers until I pointed out she was going to be going to our kids house to babysit 1 day a week so needed something to drive (though if she gave it a chance should be easily able to drive my truck).
now I don't know what to do but going to take advantage to stop and look at some options! If nothing else, can test fit a few things to see what would even be a potential option.
