I posted about it a while back, they started close to $25k. It's very clean, no rust, a few small dings, no dents. I understand it's on consignment, one owner, considering putting in an offer but I'm thinking less than $10k?
It's nearly a quarter century old. It's also a unicorn. How badly do you want it? I'd be surprised if four figures got it done, but i wouldnt pay more for it either.... I'll bet someone will step up, but apparently not for$25
No way to know it's "true" value.

Thanks, it's one of the boys who thinks he has to have it. I told him there's a reason it's still there and I reminded him what we paid for the one we bought that's 10 years newer.

As said, there is no way to know. They should put it on BaT or C&B and probably would get $20k for it, honestly, if it shows like 65k miles.

Thanks guys, and you're right q, we've seen some on C&B going for what you've described. He wants an early gen 4Runner, trying to teach him patience as well

In the late '90's I drove a '97 or '98 4Runner with about 10K miles. Had the leather, S/R, all that stuff. They were asking about $31K IIRC. My then g/f told me to buy it, & I guess I should have. BTW, later, I also drove the next gen 4Runner--I thought it a huge upgrade. And had--(or were available)--side airbags.
I haven’t posted here in years but I’m wondering how crazy the market really is these days.
What would be a private party value on a base model 2004 Chevy Express cargo van auto with 4.3L 6 cyl., RWD, crank windows and 122k miles. I would call it fair to rough with air bag light lit and AC with a slow leak that empties the system over a few months. Cosmetically ugly with extensive rocker rust which is typical of this area. Frame is solid. Tires are good and it’s mechanically good other than the aforementioned items. Just a basic work van.
I’m thinking it’s a $1,000 hooptie but in this market I wonder. Any guesses?

At least rocker rust isn't fatal with body on frame. Those were fairly decent engines, so 122k isn't bad. I also feel like somewhere north of $2k is doable. I'd probably ask $2950. No need to mention the rust, as that is normal, like you said. I'd point out working AC, good tires and brakes, and any other positives. For some reason, $2200 is striking me as the number to be agreed upon.

Wow! 5 years of use and $400 more than I paid for it. Now that’s crazy but I suppose there is a shortage of ubiquitous white vans too. Thanks for the opinions.

Burger King in my area is offering $15.75. That would be a big step up in pay for me but I got to cruise the countryside in a BMW 7 series today so stick it burger flippers.

@qbrozen - can you look up how much this car sold for at auction?
VIN: 58AEZ1B17LU074668
Must not have been a Manheim. It comes up as a Luxury model, of which there have only been 4 in the past 6 months. Three with under 6k miles and one with over 50k and seemingly wrecked. My WAG would be in that $39k zip code, which would put it about $2k under those with lower miles and $2k above the non-lux versions.

It was Manheim in Orlando, but maybe within the last week.

how do you know it went through there?
only thing close was 9/15, central FL, blue ... so that all matches ... but states 10,242 miles (and not listed as Luxury, but that's not surprising). Maybe they made a mistake on the miles. That went for $39.5k.

Car selling advice. Looking to sell my 2019 Toyota Tundra Limited Crewmax 4D TRD, 32K miles, clean title to a PRIVATE PARTY (I prefer to sell to individuals to get top $). Any advice for a price?
I would run it through carmax, Vroom and Carvana (all online and quick) to get 3 real data points to work with.
I always found selling something expensive to a private party to be a lot trickier, since they almost always need financing. Plus if you don't own it outright, have to deal with paying off the loan and getting the title.
and it you are buying a replacement, might get a tax credit (that makes a big difference in a high sales tax state like where I unfortunately am!)
Thank you for the response. Carmax offer 43,000, Carvana 41,000 and Vroom 46,000. I am totally ok with paying the loan and handle it. The question is how much is a lot? And yes I am buying a replacement. so what do you mean by tax credit?

in a lot of states when you trade in, you don't pay sales tax on the trade value, just the difference. So in NJ, if you got 46K trade value, you would save ~$3,000 in sales tax. So that has to be factored in when deciding to sell private or trade in

Which Acadia are you comparing it to? The 17+ got significantly smaller than the previous generation
Current Acadia is 193.6”
The current XT5 is 189.6
Both ride on the same 112.5” WB are an within 1/2” of each other on the width.

Carmax offer 43,000, Carvana 41,000 and Vroom 46,000.
I am totally ok with paying the loan and handle it.
The question is how much is a lot?
And yes I am buying a replacement. so what do you mean by tax credit?
