As for the "manly sound of a diesel" - one fine spring morning about eight years ago, somebody in the office building next to the one I was working in came to work driving his brand new Dodge Cummins diesel. I and all my co-workers heard him a block off, and were expecting a Peterbilt hauling something like a flatbed full of pig iron to go rumbling by. This thing was so loud, the windows were literally shaking.
My door rattle is back. Hmmm.

Well, guess I know what I'm doing this afternoon.
POCKET PROTECTORS?
yea uh huh. I even have a calculator holster
On the gas mileage, I guess it depends on what you are used to. I have never owned a vehicle that got 20 miles per gallon. The closest I have to that is my 56 Ford with a specially built 440 Dodge Magnum, A727 Torqueflite, and a Plymouth 2.92 rear end. At 70 I got about 17 mph. On my 70 El Camino, it is 10 mpg at 10mph or a 100 mph. My 88 Ford F250 runs about 7.3 to a little over 8, so I think that 8.1/Allison that gets about 9.5 to 12.88 is great.

sorry my glasses are normal not taped together
-- Don
Sorry, I don't do pocket protectors. My glasses do have the tape holding them together sometimes, but lately I've preferred squinting.
Ryan, what type of foam and where exactly did you install it? I have had the cd player adjusted 6 or more times. Also had the passenger air bag switch adjusted due to it being loose.
BTW, I have done away with my pocket protector, calculator and glasses. I got a cell phone and a set of contacts. I'm in disguise, LOL :-)

no pager, cell phone or palm pilot for me. I do have a laptop though about as hightech as i get

My rattle was above like the gas gauge area. It was inside of the dash when i pushed down on top of the gas gauge (above) it would squeek. Popped dash apart and stuck the foam between the instrument cluster and dash.
I would take pics but last time i tried the rattle came back so i am not taking my dash apart again.
Oh yea what type of foam. I dont know its about an inch thick. I used some that had a sticky back and some that didnt. Dad got it for me from work so its some industrial stuff
Im sure 3m makes some.
The suckers just look into the puter....if no service bulletin is out......"it can't be fixed!"
...what ever happened to good old fashioned....uhhh...geeeezz..I don't know....perhaps having some know how of cars and maybe checking them out?....you know...like as if they were perhaps a mechanic?
perhaps they are too stupid?....look in the phone directory in their puter (to make you think they are doing something)...and tell us "there is no fix"

Noticed yesterday i have a long crack in mine. Looks like it took a rock or something.
Anniversary hmmm well i have new tail light guards on order.

am also DRLess on the passenger side now!
...oh yeah....and waiting for that filter to change itself..
This is the mold all waxed and ready for the cloth and resin
Just popped the first bin off the mold. Many layers of mat and interwoven hi-tec cloth. Oh yeah 2 gallons of "boat in a can"
Wow it fits like it should...well the mold did so why wouldn't the bin made from it? Well cause I made it..heh heh
There is a rib on the floor that I had to make a recess for and it holds the bin in place when the seat is down. Keeps it from sliding forward.
The use of fiberglass over metal allows me to make a bunch of compound curves and maximize the space under the seat for tow rope and strap, cleaning supplies, and all the other stuff that would otherwise be sliding forward when ya have to jamb on the brakes when some little rice burner cuts in front of you. heh heh. Oh well fixed that.
Anyway this is what I been doing and, Oby, I will get to the back up sensor soon, I promise!

Great job boss....

Mike,
I can get it gel coated, but I think that I may use Interlux epoxy paint and do the outside in dark grey with carpet inside to keep stuff from making that fiberglass donk when it hits it.
Just finished watching Richmond, great race...Tony Stewart won, Rusty and Gordon got into it at the end...and everybody interviewed said Dale was the best teacher.

-on a more serious note though, one product that i've had great success with is Blue Coral's clear coat polish. it comes in a tube and will remove water spots without leaving a bunch of swirls. i used it on the glass, again without harming the glass. hope this helps ya.

BTW, so far the Chevy is winning, on performance (small V8) and looks (hate those huge looking doors on Ford - too much of a slab), but Ford beats out Chevy on the crash tests, not that I'm planning on doing that, but you never know.

here it is:
bornagain "What Should Be The Legal BAC Limit?" May 6, 2001 12:00pm
if you thought the tundra vs. big 3 was funny.....
the t vs. big3 is about as useless as they come, kinda boring arguing with a couple teenagers like Rwell and bamarama.
I am afraid that mounting the Tube inside the bin might set up harmonic frequencies that might be unlivable, but then Quadrunner is the undisputed specialist in that field after Obyone. Yeah I could put a 10" piece of PVC in one side of the bin, but it would require exact measurements and lots of extra time...like Dean said...sawzall!!
BTW thanks Dean

It's not a pull out table. It is a flip-forward plastic tablet holder that is recessed in the top of the fold-down center armrest/storage compartment. It's useful if you need to write things down often. It is a source of squeaks which may be why they got rid of it. Either that or cost.
I'll call a service advisor tomorrow and ask. So far I've only talked with a scheduler.
