You may want to schedule it with a dealer first since we can't do much until it is in there. Please tell the Rep. that we've communicated through Edmunds.
Sorry for the agg., but we'll do our best to help.
Thanks!

Patti, SoA is losing potential WRX customers because of this issue. Some are going for RS', so they're still becoming Sube customers.
I would hope that after an STi theft at one dealer and three at another dealer, something will be done soon.
-Dennis
p.s. Those aren't the first thefts from a dealer, just the ones over the past week.
You next best shot seems to be in the Subaru Crew: Best Service Facilities discussion.

Find the 2005 Legacy 2.5 GT AAG (At A Glance) link. Then scroll down to find the "Key Standard Features". It reads "Remote keyless entry with engine immobilizer".

Cheers Pat.
I've already called it in. I originally brought it to the dealer for the fuel leak, and they couldn't find anything. I called Subaru3 and was told to schedule an appt. with the dealer again. I did this, cos I was going to have the underbody coating recall done, and the dealer still could not find the problem. What should I do next?
48 Hrs. Crew:
The trick was, it wasn't leaking when we were touring. I got phenomenal fuel economy, even with our "haste". Then, the next day it went sour, reeking of gas and burning it like a Hummer.
I believe I have it isolated to the driver's side bank, near the V in the intake manifold on that side. The car can't sit still with the fan on anymore... Gas chamber action!
-Ian
I am sorry and I'll do my best.
Thanks!

Patti
I appreciate your telling me. It was one of those things that just bugged me when I thought about it.
Thanks!

If you want to figure out what I mean just go to the Future Models thread...

Thanks!

Cheers Pat.
Another factor would be putting more miles on my wife's leased OBWagon.
Hmm... same interior space doesn't guarantee the comfort I had expected/wanted.
Paying more insurance for single vehicle at home after I sold my RS (ridiculous amount).
The OBWagon is boring.... and not too comfortable!
So.. a couple of 'extra' months DO make a difference!

My wife didn't have a driving record until I bought her the OBWagon. With both of the cars we had it increased to approx. $350+/month (which is good, I believe). Now that I sold my RS, there's only one vehicle and it's under her name because that's the way we had it (it is hers). So, I tried to change it to my name being I have more yrs of driving record and they couldn't. They claim that by default the computer only selects the driver with the lowest yrs on the policy regardless if there are 1 or 2 driver(s) in the house. Which sux because of course they'll get you on more insurance premium. So now, we pay $360 for just the OBWagon! *I think I just found a new hole in me - dam*
my RL example-- 1995 M3 full coverage 100/300/100 full coverage, $500 deductable = $680/6mo as sole vehicle
1993 Taurus SHO with liability only but still 100/300/100 = $180/6mo as primary, M3 as above but secondary = $360/6mo.
= cheaper total premium!
-Colin
PS, $360 per month is complete insanity. I'd move or get a cheaper car there's just no way anyone is getting me over the barrel for that each month.

Because the agent tries to look out for me, she suggested that I get a beater but I haven't had any luck. And I want to get a beater I can get rid of without losing any money for when I get the 'new' car.

Ah, the old even-though-it's-our-carefully-developed-pricing-policy-we'll-blame-it-on-the-
computer gambit. Gotta watch out for them 'puters, they be shifty critters. ;-{)
Um, anyone else besides me notice that all this insurance talk, as interesting as it might be, is more than a bit off-topic?
Cheers,

Very good point ;-)
