I finally got the deal in SoCal for 15 Accord Sport (with pro-pack)

    Final sale price 22,130

@brian125. I'm looking for sedan i4 EX-Ls. No navi or other options. Best quote I've received is 24,770 which includes destination. Only additional fee I would pay are for DMV. What do you think? Should I expect to see much better offers at the end of the month?

Supply and Demand pared with dealerships monthly sales quotas/ incentives will dictate getting a better price. .

    hi Brain125,

I just bought my car today.

    Honda accord exl 2014

Out the door $25,995 (no accessories)

Price include karr protection package (it was priced at $499)

    Finance rate 0.9%

Just wondering if it was a good deal? Im really worried... I just found this site today unfortunately it was after I bought the car :(

Also just wondering was it even necessary to even buy that karr protection package?

Your input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Can you help me with the purchase price for Camry XLE? I couldn't find much recent info in the Camry forums of Edmunds. I am in NYC. There is a 2K + 750 rebate. Is it fair to try for 20 K sale price including destination after these rebates?

    2014 Camry, XLE, 4 cyl.

    Invoice price= ............23,487 plus 825 destination charge= 24,312

    minus ..................................................................................2000 incentive=

    .............................................................................................22,312

20k is a very low number. That's not happening.. You might be better off with a starting target price of 21,500. This price excludes taxes and tags.

    hi brian

I bought the honda accord 2014 exl ( no added accessories) with 14 miles on it at Hardin Honda in Anahiem CA.

I bought it for $25,999 including the KARR protection package which cost $499 ( cosmetic damage example: if the wheels brake or runined they will replace a new one, windows broken they will fix it, if theyre dents on the car they will fix it - no deductable/ for 5 years unlimited)

Also my finance rate is 0.9%

So out the door with the KARR protection package $25,999...

I wasnt sure if it was worth buying the KARR plan... Now im having doubts maybe I should've just kept the $25,500 out the door. Haiz :(  pls let me know what you think because my sister is also thinking of buying the same car. Thanks in advance!

  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
Tell your sister to pass on that package. Most Ins. company's give you full glass coverage. Wheels and dings pass on that also.

Not a bad e-price at all. Your just below 2k. Coupes are not flying out of dealerships like the sedan models. Try negotiating over the phone with this dealer. Tell them another 500 dollars off there e-price wraps up this deal today. Make the internet manager commit to a yes or no price today. leave your number and wait a week. In the meantime call other dealers with I will buy now meet xxx price. Worst case you buy vehicle at the e-price from 1st dealer.

Good luck....................... post name of dealer/ pricing and how your deal went down.

I'm looking at a 2014 EX-L which is a demo with about 4000 miles. They've offered an OTD price of $24,130. Is that a good deal or is there better to be had?

Looking to buy a 2014 Accord EX-L with NAV on MSRP of $30835 in CA. Can I expect to save more than the average of 2k below invoice, as 2015's are coming out now?

I've also seen used 2013 EX-L with NAV under 25k miles for around $24k. Not sure what to do.

    Thanks all!

Hi everyone, does anyone know what the current target price should be for a 2015 EX-L CVT sedan? When will the offer incentives for 2015? Thanks much.

Good question. Every state will have a different price. Someone in this forum bought a 2015 model for 1000 below dealers invoice price. Up in MA. This does not mean you can get that same price. Get as many dealerships involved in the price wars in your area . Buy at the end of the month for best results. Pit one dealer against the next.

Invoice to 500 below is a very good deal right know on a 2015 model. Again this does not mean you cant get a lower deal . Find dealerships with excess stock on 2015 models on there lots and pricing may be better. supply and demand and how good you could negotiate will help you make the best possible deal.

Incentives can change from one month till the next. keep checking

New 2014 Accord LX Sedan CVT for $18,709.

Purchased from Honda of Bartlesville. I used sky-miles for a free airline ticket to Tulsa.
Was picked-up at the airport, spent 90 minutes at the dealership, then drove the car home.

The 0.9% financing had been pre-approved online through Honda Financial Services.
I did not qualify for any additional rebates from Honda (such as graduate or military).
I was an out-of-state buyer, so Tax/Title/License will be paid at my courthouse.
In addition to the standard full tank of gas, also received a $50 gas/gift card.

The MSRP was $23,545 and the invoice was $21,619.

The following is the breakdown in purchase price:

    $18,600 (car price)
    + $99 (doc fee)
    + $10 (DMV fee)
    ======
    $18,709

I have been quoted $21,100 (includes destination) for a 2014 Accord Sport CVT (excludes all the usual taxes and fees). This seems reasonable to me at over $4K below MSRP - and who says Honda doesn`t discount! Thoughts?

Brian, thanks for your help. I ended up getting the Accord Coupe EX-L V6 at Fuller Honda for the price I had posted above. I know I could have done a little better but I was happy with the deal and needed a car! I think we did well.

The dealership was amazing and the transaction was one of the smoothest I've ever had. Really appreciate your response and your help on this forum!

    jjj926,

Your question cant be answered. Every state will have a different otd price.

Reasons................ State taxes, dealers doc fee and state dmv fees.

read thru prior postings and educate yourself on prices and how to buy.

    Hello,

Just adding my input here. Am based in Portland, Oregon. Bought a new 2014 Accord Sport CVT this morning. Car price (before accessories and fees) was $21,449. Tried hard to negotiate dealer added accessories but was only able to shave off a little. Accessories inc. body side molding, splash guards, door edge film and window tints (looks good with red color car!). Dealer was asking $891, but I ended up paying $651 for all. Total OTD inc. DMV was $22,473.

Hopefully this is a decent deal.

Just received an offer for 2015 Accord EX Manual (Sedan) at invoice. This seems like about as good as i can do right now - includes 1.9 for 60. Supply is limited on these - and its early in the model year. Any thoughts? Minneapolis area.

    Thanks brian125.

The dealer I purchased the car from is "Dick's Hillsboro Honda" - not be confused with the 'Dick Hannah Honda" dealership which is also based in Portland.

Dick's (where I purchased) came in the lowest in the email quote requests (they also threw in a free 1st oil change) I sent out. Strangely, the responses I got were all over the place. The next closest dealer was $700 more and the most expensive quote was almost $1500 more, with a response that said "the best deals are made here in the showroom" (good luck with that)!

    hey guys,

    A little off topic.

I moving soon and plan on buying a 2014 honda accord lx in Ca the state I'm moving to but seeing how 2014 are quickly running out I wonder if it would be good idea to purchase the car online before I arrive and then pick it up when I do which would probably be a week to 1.5 week difference? Some dealers I've emailed said it's possible just wondering if it's a bad idea or are there things I should watch out for purchasing electronically?

    thanks any advice helps.

If you could find your model with a CA dealer agree on a selling price with OTD numbers confirmed. Then have dealer send you a email conformation with your credit card deposit to hold vehicle till you get there. If your credit is not good have outside credit approval in place.

Your license needs to be changed to your new address or you will not be able to register that vehicle in CA
