Hi, I'm looking at a 2014 328i, sport line, mineral white, driver assist and premium pkg. 36 months/ 15k MSRP 45350.00 Invoice 42305.00 (they included MACO $400 and training/service fee $180)? is MACO and training/service part of invoice? Initial cap cost $39802 Total adds to cap $925 (I'm guessing this is their acquisition fee) Adjusted cap cost $40727 MF .0015 base, .0013 max MSD for $3600 (I have 800+ credit score. I think they are over charging)
Monthy $489.30+tax or $475.80 after MSD
Any thoughts? What is MACO and training/service fees?

The base MF is .00129. With 7 MSDs, it would be .00080, so yes, they are marking it up. The base acquisition fee is $725, so they are marking that up the maximum, as well.
MACO is regional advertising and training/service fee is also on every BMW invoice.
There is a $2000 incentive from BMW on this model. If your initial CAP cost of $39,802 is the selling price, then that's a pretty good price. If it includes a CAP cost reduction (downpayment), then that might be different..
I have a lot of problems in making a big deposit to buy down the money factor that the dealer has just marked up by the same amount...
Hi I got the following deal today for a 2015 320xi. Can someone advise if this is a good deal?

Please let me know if there is room for more negotiation.

What is the selling price? What is the $2000 going for, besides the first payment? Does it include taxes? If so, what state and what tax rate?
I'm a newbie on this forum and have a 3 questions which I hope you can answer. Looking to purchase a 2014 328i. 1. what is the money factor and residuals as of today? 2. what are the mechanics to negotiate the best deal? (to negotiate the best prices off MSRP then remove any current incentives on top of that?) 3. what are MD's and how do they work / are applied vs down payments? (any good links that can explain this)?

many thanks in advanced!
1) .00129 MF and 59% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr
2) Negotiate your best price, including all incentives. Don't assume anything more is going to come off the price you negotiate.
3) MSDs are multiple security deposits. For every additional deposit, BMWFS lowers the money factor by .00007. 7 maximum deposits = total reduction of .00049. That would take the base money factor from .00129 down to .00080. Like any security deposit, they are returned at lease end.

LAST question (I hope). what would folks consider a good price for a base model 2014 328i?

What is the selling price? What is the $2000 going for, besides the first payment? Does it include taxes? If so, what state and what tax rate?
Please disregard the previous deal I posted. Could you advise on the following deal I got in NJ today for a 2014 320xi?
MSRP: $37,225 Selling Price: $33,280 Mileage: 12K per year Residual: 62% ($23,079) MF: 0.00129 Down Payment: $2,000 including first month payment Monthly Payment: $395
I was told that the 2k I am putting down is coming off the total price including the taxes and fees. The 2k does not cover the taxes alone, so part of the taxes and fees are also being rolled into the monthly payment.
How does this deal sound? Also do you think the deal may get better in Oct?

About 8% off before subtracting the $1000 incentive.. That's pretty good. I'd want to know the details of the added costs, before subtracting the $2000. Looks like about $1300 added on to get to that payment... That's a total of $2900 in additional costs, outside of the 1st payment. $725 acq.fee, $500 title/registration, $1200 in tax, $300 doc fee? I guess that's pretty close..
They started with $2600 off MSRP + $2K innovations credit. I finally made it to $3k off MSRP + $2K credit. Other dealers nearby seem to be firm at around $2500 off MSRP.

Just leased a 2014 320i; hoping we did well. This is a mostly base model but our first BMW. MSRP was $36,750 as it has moonroof, metallic blue and a few other additions. Dealer came down to $33,750. Total down was $2,000 (includes acq fee and all other initial costs) and payment for 36 months/10 k miles per year is $388. This includes tax (am in New Mexico). Money factor was .00149. I know we left some on the table with the MF but they would barely budge from .00169 until the very end. We felt like since they came down 3k from MSRP that there wasn't much more they'd go down on the MF.
Anyway, very excited to enjoy this beautiful car. Any thoughts on the deal appreciated (hopefully we did ok....).

I just received a quote from my dealer for a 2014 328i xDrive.
MSRP: $44,825
Selling Price: $39,825
Reward program: -$1000
Mileage: 10K/3 years
Residual: 63%
MF: 0.00129
Down Payment: $0
Acq. Fee $725
Doc. Fee $200
Tax rate: 6%
Monthly payment: $426
How does this quote look? That's pretty much the best I received so far.
BTW, does anyone know how the MSDs work? With each MSD, how much can the MF go down?
Thank you!
That looks really good. Each MSD lowers the MF by .00007, with a total of 7 allowed for a maximum reduction of .00049.
That would result in an MF of .00080 and save about $35/mo. on the payment.

I'm in the process of negotiating and this is the offer I have on the table, do you guys think the terms are favorable?
36 months / 12k / 328i with premium package and heated seats
Selling price - $37,100 ($1440 below invoice with 2k innovation credit factored in)
MF - .00080 after maxing out MSD
Residual Factor - 61%
Monthly payment with tax - 405.00
Drive off - $4852.42 with MSD, bank fee, documentation fee, first payment, license and registration.
Do you think this is as good as it gets? Thanks for your input!
Good discount from sticker and base MF being used - both are good for your deal.
