Maximum markup of the money factor... Estimated sales tax is not relevant, as tax is assessed monthly on the payment..
I'd bet you can do just as well by shopping around.. The $1000 Holiday credit is scheduled through the end of the year.
Hello, can you please provide me with the residual and money factor for the month of December on a 2015 M3, 12K/year and 36 months? If they are subsidizing 24 or 39 months, can I have those numbers too? Thank you ahead of time!

.00130 and 59% for 39/12. 64% for 24/12. $1000 holiday cash.
This is all confusing. My offer with $5875 in negative equity is:
2014 320i with heated front seats, moonroof, power front seats, dark burl walnut wood trim
MSRP: 37,295
selling price: 31,195
36m/10k miles
$1000 out of pocket (includes first month payment)
MF: should be .00130
Monthly payment is $500
is this a good or horrible deal?
I should mention I'm in TX and they claim to be paying the taxes on it. Residual they said would be standard 59% or 60%. I forget exactly.
63% residual for 36/10 and .00130 base MF. Before factoring in the tax and negative equity, I calculate a payment of $284.96/mo.
TX taxes the entire selling price for a lease, but I've heard that tax credits are available to mitigate that hit.
The $5900 of negative equity would add about $164/mo to the payment, so about $449 total. Tax would take you to $500.
Why so much negative equity? Turning in a lease early?
I'm turning in a 2006 330i that has an extended warranty. Because I don't drive as much as I thought I'm switching to leasing. I figured December was a good time for deals. I may still ask for another $500-$1000 off before I sign though.

I would recommend you pop in over at the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion to get an honest appraisal of your current car. You may not be as upside down as your dealer tells you.

Well, my car prior to this one was demolished by hail after a year, so I had bad luck negative equity of $1400 in this loan. So I guess if that hadn't happened and I didn't buy an extended warranty I'd be breaking even. I think?

The unused portion of the extended warranty might be refundable - you should look into that.
2014 bmw 320i msrp $37500 sport pkg,power seat,carbon fiber pkg,blk grill $0 drive off 36m/10k year miles $319 +tax is this a good deal tnx
What is the net cap cost?
I found this deal on craigslist long beach the guy sounded legit trying to transfer his lease, just transfer fees $500 and $319 plus tax a month for this 320i.
Hello! Thanks for the great info! Trying to get in on a lease. Looking at a 2015 328i. The current offer on the table is:
MSRP: 42,900 (premium, driver assistance, heated seats) Sell Price: 37,934.53 (will have to confirm, but I think it's including $1,000 holiday) Resid: 62% 26,598 MF: 0.00170 (not sure if they are willing to take 0.00130) Capped Fees: 1,199.50 (I have not yet confirmed the breakdown of this) Total taxes: 2,370.91 (Texas) Adjusted Cap: 41,504.94 money down: only first month's payment (right?) 498/month
As I mentioned, lower MF would be best (I calculate 470/month with 0.00130). Anything else? Confirm the breakdown of the fees? I wondered about paying the fees seperately, but it seems it would only save me $60 over the course of the lease. Might as well just roll it in? Also, I know about the MSD to reduce the MF, but I'm not so sure I want to do that. Should I?

I'd work towards a deal using the base MF, then use MSD to buy it down.

The numbers are dead-on. Getting the base MF would knock $28/mo. off the payment. Nothing wrong with rolling the fees in.
I certainly wouldn't make MSDs without them first dropping to the base MF..
I ended up moving forward with a different car. They kept trying to focus on a particular monthly payment. For example, they said they would adjust the numbers to still have the same payment if I wanted the base MF. These are the numbers:
MSRP: 49,600 Resid: 62% 30,752.00 Sell price: 46,210.37 MF: 0.00170 Capped Fees: 1,199.50 (925.00 acquisition, 124.50 Title Lic Reg, 150 Doc) Also on the lease paperwork is a line 14. Estimated official fees and taxes: 1,549.50
560/month
Taxes ended up being credited by BMW? Otherwise, they were not put in to these lease figures. I started wondering if this was not good for me. I already signed and paid the first month (today), so is it too late to back out? I have not driven the car off the lot. I was going to get it Monday afternoon.

Thanks. I started thinking that the tax credit they gave should have benefited me more. Instead, it must be benefiting the dealer, right? Allow for higher sell price and MF?
Should I try to back out? I'd be surprised if I can (everything signed and first month payment), but I can always try on Monday.

If that dealer has tax credits, then it's likely that all of the dealers have tax credits in Texas. Whether you want to try to get out of your deal is up to you.. If you do, you obviously won't be able to do another deal with that dealer.

MF is .00130 for all 3-series in December. No 39 month program numbers for 2014 models. Add 2% to all residual numbers to go from 15K to 12K.
320i - 66% for 24/15; 62% for 36/12. $2500 holiday cash.
328i - 65% for 24/15; 61% for 36/12. $3500 holiday cash.
Add 1% to 328i numbers for 328xi residuals. Same holiday cash.
Be advised that in GA you will pay 6.75% "Ad Valorem" tax on the entire selling price of the car. You can pay this up front or roll it into your cap cost, but that will greatly increase your payment.

I believe credit score over 700 is necessary for the best deals.
That's a lot of et cetera added... Especially, since taxes are charged on the monthly payment in California, not upfront.
$3557 in "Taxes etc." Need to know what that's all about, before worrying about the rest of the deal.

Thank You.
.00130 MF and 60% residual on all three models.
But, the 328i xDrive sedan has a $3500 Holiday Credit, and the other models have no cash incentives.

Dealer did not give me the money factor, based on the numbers it looks to be 0.0016.
Any comments on this? I think I can get the money factor down a bit...

If MA taxes the monthly payment, it looks like they are about $25/mo. high... I agree, that would presume an MF of .00160.
Your selling price looks good... ask for the net CAP cost and see if that equals your negotiated price. The difference could be in there..
