Does the innovations credit just come off the MSRP? I was qouted 8k discount off a 2014 48k 328i; it seems like I could do a little better than that with this credit?

Check with the dealer, but it may be that the $1K credit is included in their offer of $8K discount.

Yes.. the money factor is marked up the maximum amount. Base MF is .00130
Thank you.. can you help me to calculate the monthly payment with MF .00130?
Appreciate it.
Substituting .00130 will drop the payment by about $37/mo.
I don't know your state or tax rate, but they are adding an awful lot on to the selling price to come up with a payment that high.. You should ask for the CAP cost.
I just reached out to the dealer to find out what cap cost is being used, am I safe to assume they are working off of a price that's roughly $4k more than what is being offered face value?

I'm sure there are extra costs added, over and above the selling price. But the biggest difference is probably the residual. It is reduced by $0.20/mile for each mile on the odometer.. So, if the car has 10K miles, the residual reduction is $2000.
Thank you both for your responses. The car has 11,163 miles on it, I've asked for the net cap cost figure and am awaiting a response. What would be my next step in the negotiation?
Working on an executive demo, deal below please let me know what you guys think
'14 328i sport nav prem pckg drivers assist package
Retail Price $47,975 Selling Price $35,964
$477 drive off
3yrs/10k
381.68 tax included
Res. is 62%
MF is .00130
I think there is a difference between your selling price and the net cap cost used to figure the lease payment.
Using your numbers, I get a pre-tax payment of $258.18.
Net Cap Cost is 37,024.75
Based on that, if I am looking at the deal correctly, there is roughly $1,060.75 (Net Cap Cost) on the front end and $2,232.60 (Residual Reduction) on the back-end to be negotiated. Roughly the difference in what you ran numbers at Michaell, am I correct?
Based on the information provided I get the following.
MSRP: $47,975 Net Cap Cost: $37,024.75 Calculated Residual: $27,611.90 (62% Residual less mileage adjustment) Money Factor: .00130 36 months/10k a year
I get $345.50/month pre-tax. Depending on your tax rate, that seems pretty close. Assuming 9.5% monthly leasing tax like we have here in WA, I get $378/month.
2025 Jetta GLI Autobahn, 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xE
I would also add you should consider putting down multiple security deposits up front - you can do up to 7 MSDs which would lower your money factor to .00081. This is money you'd get back at the end of the lease.
If you did this, you would reduce your monthly payment (using the calculation above) to $313.82/month pre-tax.

I just did some research on the MSD program, had no clue about it til just now. Thank you for the info, that's a huge incentive! Really appreciate the help!!
Absolutely. Factory Demo leases are, in my opinion, the best kept secret that BMW offers. Effectively 0 down and $313/month + tax for a $48k car? That is a steal.

Agreed. Perhaps I'll try to find one when my current lease is up!
There are a few dealers around the country that specialize in buying these at auction. I suspect ag2334 is leasing from one of them, since I'm 99% sure I found the unit he is looking at.

Hi, great forum, very helpful for navigating this financial maze called auto leasing. Sharing my information here for the community: 2015 328i Alpine White premium pkg, heated seats. I am hoping you can help me...I am new to leasing. Looking at the following deal:
2014 320i xDrive. Includes Moon roof, power/heated front seats, NAV Term 24 months @ 10k miles per year MSRP: 40,395 Sales Price: 37560 (not yet negotiated) Downpayment is $3000 and monthly payment is $239. Also have the option for no downpayment and $329 a month. Based on what I am reading online, it appears that the no downpayment option is better.
Other fees at signing 1761 (includes MA tax of 6.25%). Acquisition, first month and Docs. There is an additional 280 or so which I cannot account for. Need to ask the dealer what this is.
Residual: 63%
I wasn't provided the Money factor but I calculated to be around .00021.

You cannot reverse engineer the money factor from the rest of the lease numbers; besides, the base MF for BMW is .00130, which can be lowered to a minimum of .00081 if the maximum number of MSD's are used.
Yes, no down payment is preferred - if the car is stolen or totaled, you would lose that money.
The 24/10 residual for the 320xi is 69%; the 36/10 residual is 63%. Confirm with the dealer which lease term they are quoting you.
Using the .00130 MF, I calculate a $0 down payment of $418.33 for 36 months and $488.71 for 24 months using your MSRP and selling price.
Have the dealer explain to you how they are able to give you such a low payment quote - $3000 down is $125/mo for 24 months (net payment $364) and $83/mo for 36 months (net payment $335).
I am looking at a 2014 328i with tech package, hk surround sound, m package, premium package , moonroof, tinted windows, estriol blue sale price $49900 3k down 10k miles 36 mos $580/month including taxes in Texas so sales tax built in good deal or screw job?

What is the MSRP? The taxes in Texas are going to increase your payment, for sure.
.00130 MF and 61% for 36/12 on the 2014 model year.
All things considered is 580 a decent price I'm currently paying 490 on a 2012 328 w tech and premium package it was 43k 36/12 so 580 for a 49k car sounded ok when Texas sales tax is added

Frankly, you're probably better off going with a 2015 if the dealership won't discount the 2014 from sticker.
Can someone let me know if this is a good deal? 2014 328xi with premium and cold weather package this car is actually a loaner with about 9500 miles Msrp - 44275 sale price - 34495 cap cost reduction - 1000 adjusted cap cost - 33495 term - 39 months miles - 12k monthly cost - 299 (all fees except dmv are rolled in)

Hard to know all the numbers on a service loaner.. But, if it's $299/mo, it's cheap.. I'm surprised they are doing a 39 month lease on a 2014 model. Would have thought the best deal would be on 36 months.
You might check the warranty expiration date to make sure you are in warranty for the full term of the lease.

We only have 39 month numbers, right now...
The 24-month numbers haven't been very competitive, lately. Doubt that has changed
