Hi all, I was wondering if you get me the residuals and money factors for the following in the King of Prussia, PA area:
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 V6 Limited (lux 2 package, GPS package and 20" wheels)
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 V6 Overland
10k and 12k; 36 and 39 month please
The dealer provided me with a monthly payment of $383 which includes taxes after a $3,500 down payment and MSRP $44,985 for the Limited above. Just trying to see if it's acceptable and I'm also thinking about the Overland.
One more question please. How does Chrysler Financial treat the Destination Charge. Is that left out when calculating the residual? I'm trying to line up my numbers against what I get using the calculator on the jeep website. Thank you.

Limited: .00008 MF and 56% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr. Add 1% for 10K/yr.
Overland: .00009 MF and 52% residual for 36/12... add 1% for 10K/yr.
Hard to give you a good read on the lease deal without the selling price and tax rate, and total amount due at signing...
I just pulled the trigger on a 14 grand Cherokee limited v6 20 inch wheels loaded luxury package 36 months10kmiles I put 600 out of pocket DMV and first payment msrp 44670 $495 a month could I have done better?
Hard to evaluate the lease deal as fees and taxes vary by location. Best thing is to compare the negotiated sale price. Also, was the 600 due at signing including first month and dmv fees or in addition to? Regardless, I leased pretty much the same truck two weeks ago and am loving it so far. Hope you do as well. Congrats!
Thank you very much for the information you provided, it was very valuable. I went with a new 2014 Overland. $6588 below MSRP (model was sitting on the lot for a while) plus another $1000 from competitive lease conquest. 0.00009 from Chrysler financial and 50% res for 36 mo, 15K/yr. Chrysler seems to take out the destination charge ($995) from the MSRP while calculating the residual.

Appreciate all yout responses to the many lease questions surrounding GC. I am interested in V8 Summit 36 mos/10k. But the high MF and low residual (which have been consistent over past couple of months) make it fairly unattractive lease.
So - two questions: 1) Why such unattractive lease arrangements for the Summit 2) Do you believe it will improve come March?
Thank You!
The residuals are low, but the money factor is dirt cheap on every Grand Cherokee trim line. The higher trim lines usually have worse residuals, no matter which make you are dealing with. But, you have to balance the residual against the discount offered. One member above reports $6600 off MSRP. When you get that big of a discount, the residuals don't look as bad.
However, if you really want the best deal, stick to the Limited model.
As far as next month? Sorry, no idea on where they might go..

Appreciate your review of a lease from a Seattle area dealer on a GC Overland V6 4x4 MSRP $47,190 selling price of $43,250, $7500 down, Payment quote of $487.58 over 39 months inc tax at 9.8%. This is before an additional $1,000 incentive (which wasn't included on the worksheet and knocks a further $20/month off approx and brings the selling price down to $42,250)
I think this is good deal but maybe I can get more out of them, so a couple of questions
1) they're quoting residual of 45% when another Chrysler dealer is quoting 55%, could you confirm correct residual using Chrysler leasing at 12k/year? 45% residual makes the deal much more attractive as I may buy the vehicle at the end of the lease
2) Money factor is quoted at 0.00039 which seems a little high, could you confirm the Chrysler tier 1 rate?
3) Fees seem high the Acq fee and document fee is high both at $575 do you know if there is a norm or should I try to negotiate down?
I'm attaching the worksheet they gave me, comments appreciated
Seems real expensive to lease this car. Currently I can lease an RX350 MSRP $47,415 for $495/month for 27 months with sales tax capped in and $1,495 due at drive off (first, 700 bank fee, 300 dmv)

That seems crazy expensive and sounds like theyre using a third party leasing company that isnt offering nearly as attractive residual rates, nor money factors. there are a lot of east coast dealers who do that by touting big discounts over MSRP (on the order of $4k+) to bring you in to the lot for the conversation...

Penn 2 - I was getting $4500 off Limited and about $5000-5500 off Overland/Summit (used true car to get to internet fleet pricing folks at dealers). The one I bought was discounted very heavily (overland - $6500 off msrp) as it had been sitting on the lot for a long time (but brand new). Once a car sits on the lot for more than a certain time the dealer has to pay interest to bank and starts to lose money on car every addl. day it sits on their lot. If you want the cheapest lease I would build up the Limited with all the options

Would also consider an Overland, but it seems the Limited is a better leasing option. Also, any opinion on the off road adventure packages or are they just personal preference? Thanks, Jim

.00008 MF and 54% for 36mo, 15K/yr lease. I'm not sure how Chrysler handles 20K/yr leases, you'd have to check with your dealer. Not sure about the mileage penalty, either, but I'd guess $0.20/mile.
Adding accessories is usually expensive on a lease. Either they will be residualized at a lower amount than what you are charged, or sometimes, not residualized at all (meaning you pay the full price of the accessory over the lease term). Something like roof rails or a tow package might get residualized, somewhat... bike racks and floor mats, probably not all.

First... assuming you have good credit, the money factor should be .00009, not .00039. On your quoted deal, that MF markup adds about $18/mo. to your payment. The actual payment is spot on for the numbers quoted, as you'd expect, since you have a screen shot of the deal. But, there are things I would definitely want to change.
The 36 month term is much better than the 39 month term. The residual is 52% vs the 45% residual for the 39 month term. The payment on the 36 month term, even with the inflated money factor, would be $388/mo pre-tax, with all other terms being the same. I know you stated you wanted a lower residual, because you might want to buy the vehicle, but that is a false economy. Sure, if everything was equal, including the payment, then a lower residual would be an advantage, but in this case, you'd just be paying extra during the lease for the privelege of paying less later. But, if you don't buy the vehicle, that extra money paid would be wasted.
So... on a 36 month lease, with all of the terms being the same, but with the base money factor of .00009, your payment would be $370/mo. pre-tax.. or, $406/mo, including tax. That's $81/mo. less.
Another issue is putting $7500 upfront on a lease... I would never do that. It makes the payment lower, but it doesn't really save you any money, especially with the effective finance charges being under 1% APR.

@mjt5 said: Can you please provide feb money factor and residual in Long Island, NY for GC Limited 4x4 lux package II, 20" rims and cd player (MSRP $45,380) 36month both for both 12k year and 15year through Chrysler. Trying to close a deal today so any information you might have avail is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Limited: .00008 MF and 54% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr lease. Add 2% for 12K/yr.
Thanks so much for info as dealer quoted me .00018 and 59% residual with $595.00 qcuisition for the 36month 15k through Chrysler
I know there is $1,000 conquest cash coming from a Nissan to Jeep and another $4,000 avail on limited from Factory right now on Limited on Long Island, NY.
Would I still be entitled to those rebates if I went through Chrysler?
They were pushing a local Credit Union deal below:
MSRP $45,380
39 month 12k deal
$38,199 sell price (includes check to me for last three payments on Nissan $1,019.67)+$895.00 bank fee rolled in (what is the Chrysler ban fee $575.00?)
.00118 and 54% residual
first month, tax, and DMV fees at signing roughly $2,500 out of pocket
$472.00 month
I think I can do much better through Chrysler right?
I got the exact same truck last week but I didn't pay the bank fee was told Chrysler waived it this month I put 600 out of pocket but that includes the plates and the first month. I'm paying 495 a month look into getting that fee waived great truck I love it!
I also leased the same truck (Limited, lux ii and 20's) two weeks ago from an NYC dealer and there was no bank fee for Chrysler financial. 2,499 due at signing and then 413 a month thereafter. I would expect you to be able to get a similar deal. Good luck!

I don't know what it is with NY and independent bank leases, but I'd stay as far away from them, as possible. Chrysler Finance has a great program this month on the Limited model. Not sure why a dealer would push another bank, unless it's to make more money.. (which will eventually come out of your pocket
Actually they are taking the residual to 53% for the extra miles + they want to charge .25/mile for penalty. We were first told .15, then .20, when we got there the paperwork said .25. When we balked dealer offered a notarized letter that states they will pay us .05/ mile towards penalty up to 3,000 miles. This all is important as my husband puts a lot of miles on the car for business (which the business pays for the lease). Does this offer/arrangement make sense? Thank you.

I've not heard of that arrangement before. How many miles do you expect to drive each year? The letter only offers a $150 credit back.
I'm looking to lease a GC Summit 4WD V6 for 36mo / 12k miles. I'd love to see some of the best deals posted here so I have a point of reference. Best I've currently seen is $660/mo with $3500 down, tax & tags included. I'd love to see this in the mid-500s range with same money out of pocket, though it doesnt seem realistic given current residuals and money factors.
I know the Limited or Overland represents a much better value given the feature sets, but I like all of the bundled tech and, unfortunately, that killer sound system is only available on the Summit.
Hi I am also about to lease a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. I am in Southern California. Here's the deals I've been able to negotiate. Wondering if there's an opinion here:
Both of these are with a cap cost of 48000. I plan to pay out 3500 which includes drive offs as well as a minor cap reduction. There is a $1000 rebate because I am coming out of another lease..
36 month: MF .00009, RV 50%, monthly including tax 665
48 month: MF .00125, RV 35%, monthly including tax 616 (may not be Chrysler)
42 month: MF .00183, RV 39%
I like the 48 month monthly rate but not sure I want to be in a lease that long and the RV feels very low..
I'm curious. I just signed a lease for a GC limited, 15k miles per year. I know it was stated that the residual is 54% for 36 months at 15k miles per year, but my lease was 57% at 15k miles per year. Just wondering how they managed this when it seems the residual is set and can't be changed.

I never lease for more than 36 months. I'd be wary of that 48 month deal. Hard to see how the money factor could be that high, the residual that low, and the payment be lower than the Chrysler Finance deal for 36 months.

So... on a 36 month lease, with all of the terms being the same, but with the base money factor of .00009, your payment would be $370/mo. pre-tax.. or, $406/mo, including tax.

I think I can do much better through Chrysler right?
thanks for your advice, much appreciated
I don't know what it is with NY and independent bank leases, but I'd stay as far away from them, as possible. Chrysler Finance has a great program this month on the Limited model. Not sure why a dealer would push another bank, unless it's to make more money.. (which will eventually come out of your pocket

thank you for the feedback
Actually they are taking the residual to 53% for the extra miles + they want to charge .25/mile for penalty. We were first told .15, then .20, when we got there the paperwork said .25. When we balked dealer offered a notarized letter that states they will pay us .05/ mile towards penalty up to 3,000 miles. This all is important as my husband puts a lot of miles on the car for business (which the business pays for the lease). Does this offer/arrangement make sense? Thank you.
I've not heard of that arrangement before. How many miles do you expect to drive each year? The letter only offers a $150 credit back.

Sorry, that was 30,000 miles. 25,000 +a year, could be more....
they are actually taking the residual to 47% of the MSRP with $983 added to the MSRP for the extras
Looking for Residual and MF's on a 2014 JGC SRT model. 10k/36 mo. term. Thanks for the help!
Please share your pricing stories...

Opinions much appreciated!!!
I'm curious. I just signed a lease for a GC limited, 15k miles per year. I know it was stated that the residual is 54% for 36 months at 15k miles per year, but my lease was 57% at 15k miles per year. Just wondering how they managed this when it seems the residual is set and can't be changed.

I would guess, it was a Chrysler jeep dealership, and used their financing.
You might not know what bank they used, until you get a bill for the next payment. Different banks can have different residuals.

I never lease for more than 36 months. I'd be wary of that 48 month deal. Hard to see how the money factor could be that high, the residual that low, and the payment be lower than the Chrysler Finance deal for 36 months.

Ok, I didn't know different banks could do that. I'm not complaining that's for sure.
Hi, I'm looking for the MF & RV for a 2014 JGC Summit v6 4x2...3/36k. I'm also wondering if Chrysler finance has an early termination fee for their leases, or could I sell the vehicle and payoff the owed amount at any point?

I don't have an answer for your question on early termination fees.
