It looks like there is only a lease special on the IS250AWD, not the RWD model in WA. Is this correct? Does this mean that the lease rates(residual and MF) are different in WA or just that there's no $500 lease cash and complimentary first month payment.

.00085 and $500 lease cash in the Western Area. Doesn't differentiate between RWD and AWD.

Residual is 72% and base MF is .00085. Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment if $318.42 foe 27 months.

Your deal looks solid - how much of the $2700 is for cap cost reduction?

I wanted to clarify the residual for 27mos/10K a yr for the IS250, is it 72% for RWD, AWD and F-sport? It seems like a RWD was quoted above as 71%. Thanks in advance.

Ok sorry to ask the same question again however looking at the discussion it looks like for a 27 month lease the residual of 72% is the same for 10,000 miles and for 7,500 miles per year. Is that possible, and if so then why take the 7500?

Ok again so I am clear, is the MF geographically different? Are you saying that in SO-CAL it is 71% and other areas like FL it is 72%?
I refer back to my original question; in FL 27 months with 7500 miles is it 72% or 73%?
    Thank you for clarifying

There are NO regional numbers for Lexus. The numbers I have quoted in the past dozen or so posts are the same for all states.

The only difference is the model year ... 2014 vs. 2015.

I think the confusion was over the 71% vs 72% question. I am surmising that 72% is the 7500 mile residual for a 2014 IS250 RWD.

Correct. 67% is the "base" residual for 27 months, 15K per year. Add 3% for 10K and 4% for 7500 miles.

I think it has just become even more confusing. According to the posts above on the IS250 sedan:

27mo 7.5K lease residual was 72% in one post

    27mo 10K lease residual was 72% in another three posts(July 18th-19th)

27mo 10K lease residual was 71% on July 20th post

    Now you’re saying it’s 67% base for 15K, 70% for 10K and 71% for 7.5K?

  • gwarrenflgwarrenfl Member Posts: 96

Thank you hull22 for stating what is confusing in detail.
Michaell your answers have been inconsistent on the residuals for the 27 month lease. That's why I asked if there was some other factor that may have affected the number. As I am in the process of negotiating for a 2014 is250 now I would like to know for sure ASAP.
    Thank you again.

    Thank you again.

OK, let's take it from the top:

2014 IS250 (all models, RWD and FWD) - numbers valid 7/8 through 9/30:

    27/15 - 68%

    27/12 - 70%

    27/10 - 71%

    27/7.5 - 72%

    Add 2% for 24 months.

    Subtract 1% for IS350.

    36 month numbers for the IS250 are 60% / 62% / 63% / 64% (15 / 12 / 10 / 7.5).

The confusion, I think, came about because at one point I quoted numbers that had expired on 7/7.

Sorry to have put everyone through this ... use the numbers from this post as the numbers.

It depends .... 2% of the depreciated amount spread out over 3 extra payments makes it pretty close. You'd have to run the numbers to know for sure.

    Michaell,
Yes I have run the numbers using MSD's, and the difference is only around $3 a month. I prefer to do use the MSD as it saves around $50 monthly regardless of which term I take.
So by taking 24 months it will be certain that the lease will end during the Golden Opportunity sales time in two years. Seems that Lexus has done away with the "Lease Waiver program."

I have conflicting information .. I've seen the rate reduction for deposit as low as .0001 per and as high as .0008 per.

Each deposit is the monthly payment rounded up to the next $25.

    Socal / Michaell,
I am not an expert however I can speak of the MSD and the benefits as I have been using this system for quite a while now. In a low interest rate environment like we have been experiencing it provides a BIG advantage.

The MSD's should be .0008 per and to a Maximum of 9. So in essence you would lower your MF by 72 basis points. (ie .00085 becomes .00013) So then you are paying almost nothing for the Lease most of your payment goes towards the difference between your Cap Cost and the residual (Depreciation). I have calculated a saving of over $50 monthly on a lease payment going from $380 to $330.

IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY AVAILABLE TO YOU THEN THIS CAN'T BE BEAT. There is nowhere that you can this rate of return on your money.
The amount is correct so if your pre tax payment is $349 then your deposit is $350 X 9.
And as Michaell pointed out this is a "REFUNDABLE" security deposit so at the end you will get your deposit back.

2657.94 out of pocket (1 st month payment, taxes, bank fee , dmv)
    40833 - msrp
    39192 -Sale price

    Rebate 500.00

    residual 70%
    MF- 0.00067
    28583.10 - Residual Value

    How is this deal?

Are you buying down the MF with extra security deposits? I'm showing the base MF on the IS250 as .00085, so I'm not quite sure how you are getting .00067 in your quote from the dealer.

    Residual for 27/12 is 70%.

I agree this is a great way to save money (I used MSDs on a previous lease), but it only makes sense at .00008. At .00001 it does not pencil out. I can't seem to get clarification as to what the buydown is for the Lexus.

    Michaell,
I was just quoted a Money Factor of .00075 (rather than the .00085) for an IS-F.
So with the MSD's the MF becomes .00003. (That's $2 a month for the Interest)
Have you heard of the MF being lowered?

Nope - I'm still showing .00085 as the base MF for the IS250 and IS350.

Are you referring to the F-sport package or the IS-F model? If it's the latter, then the base MF is .00145.

    Hello again,

I confirmed with dealer the MF of .00067.

    MSRP-408833
    Neg. Price-39192
    RV-70%(28,583.10)
    MF-.00067
    27m/12k
    Rebate 500.00 + 1st month payment.
    Tax-8.625%
    Payment-448.00(includes , taxes, fee etc.)

I am getting a payment of 418.00 pre tax. is this correct?

I am also confused if I am paying the taxes upfront do I also pay it again towards the payment?
Additionally, what is the mf and residual for 36m/12k miles for the IS 250?

I am getting a pre-tax payment of $437.02 using all your numbers above. It's possible that the $39,192 doesn't include the $500 rebate.

You should not pay taxes twice. If they are calculated up front then they are not added into the payment again.

36/12 residual for the IS250 is 62%. MF stays the same.

She would not be paying taxes twice. Tax is collected on any cap reduction as it reduces the monthly payment, which reduces the monthly tax. If tax was not collected on cap reduction, then you could greatly reduce or even avoid taxes altogether with a large down payment or a prepaid lease.

Anyone have the current money factors and residual for 2014 IS250 base and F Sport? 27 months/ 10k miles. I had a dealer quote me .00149 which seems a little high but maybe it's because the 2015s are starting to come out? What's the best way to negotiate this if it's higher than it should be?

At this point do you think I could get a better price on the 2014 or 2015 model?

    Thanks for the input!

71% RV and .00085 MF. Dealer may be marking up the MF - politely but firmly let the dealer know you won't sign any deal with an inflated MF.

2014's should have better transaction prices.

Hi @Michaell‌ Looking for the current #'s on the IS250 AWD w/ Nav Pkg.
24 or 36 month (or anything in between if they offer it) and 12K miles or under (7500 pref)

    Thank you!!
