I am considering a 2015 Yukon XL. I am very familiar with how to negotiate money factors with BMW but haven't had any experience with GMC. Same principle? Try to get buy rate on money factor and negotiate cap cost as low as possible?
Same process applies. Problem is, we don't have the GMC numbers this month for you to reference.
Price for 2015 Yukon Denali $71,000 with a money factor of 0.00150 and a residual of $43,052. Payment would be $905 with $6400 down payment. It is a 36/10000 lease. Is this a good deal? Otherwise we would buy with $7400 trade in plus $9000 down with 2.19 apr at 72 months with same monthly payment of $905. Which way would you go?

I would not put money down on a lease. Lease interest rate works out to 3.6%, too.
Buying seems to make much more sense in this case.
Hi - I am about to sign for the following deal and wanted to run it by everyone to see what they think.
2015 Yukon SLE. MSRP is approx $54,165. 36 month lease, 12k miles per year. $780 due at signing ($0 down/no cap cost reduction), $511 a month including tax.
The car is pretty well equipped for an SLE. Convenience package, 20" wheels, and Driver Alert Package.

We don't have any GMC numbers this month, so it's hard to fully qualify.
But - $511/mo for a car that stickers at $54K is a pretty good deal, any way you look at it.
I am trying to lease a 2015 GMC Yukon SLE. The MSRP is $52,565 The selling price is $43,563 36 months/10,000k miles. What would my monthly payment be? $0 down and I do not pay tax. Thanks.

wowo, found this to answer my own question (54% & 0.00100)... cld.bz/4BJprPu#89/z which is nice to have! See page 90-93 for residuals & page 104 for adjustments. Page 107 for MF's and Cash Rebates (CCR?). They have the #'s for the 2016's there also. For 10k/39m, residual is 59% & MF is 0.00220.
So what fee's SHOULD be included in my Capitalized Cost besides a $595 acquisition fee & Title, Registration & License? That doc on the link above says just $595 acquisition fee, but $0 Early Term Fee, $0 Disposition Fee, $0 Purchase Option Fee. Are document fees legit? What fees might the dealer try to tack on that I should fight?
Thinking about getting a Yukon XL with open road and trailer. MSRP of 69,500. VA tax of 4.05% with 39 month and 12k per year with only first payment down. 830 per month. Is it worth it?

One other question, when I leased my BMW I came in at $500 over invoice on cap cost..Have never leased through GMC. What types of cap costs are folks coming in with? $500 under?

Hello Thanks so much for the info here. I thought I was an informed buyer before but I didn't know much! Looking for advice; I am attempting to lease a 2015 Yukon Denali I told dealer I would Cap cost $70,500 invoice shows $71,844.50 with a wholesale finance credit of $68,589.00 Told them MF .00050 59% resid on 24/15K absolutely no fees and will not accept MF increase. Is this too much to ask?

I am looking at a 2015 Yukon XL SLT. The MSRP is 68,310. The price they stated I could get it for is 62,810. With no money down (taxes rolled into lease, tax rate is 8.625%). Dealer is offering me $850 a month for 12k 39 month lease. (Stating a 53% residual and a money factor of .0010) Price seems high to me. What do you think?

I confirm the .00100 MF and 53% residual for 39/12. Using your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $781.21/mo.

I am in nassau county, NY. Do you think that is enough of a discount off of MSRP? Been a while since I went after a new car. I remember shooting for 20% off MSRP as a goal and always getting close to it.

The MSRP is correct, I was referring to the actual purchase price which affects the lease price. Bottom line, is $781.21 (Pre-tax) a good deal for this car?

Thanks. For a 78k MSRP and a 71k selling price, how would that look? .00100 MF is buy rate right? Is 55% a decent residual? Isn't selling price the main driver in determining payments? How does the MSRP come into play? Residual value?
Also, when incentives like the USAA $750 or the GM Select Model Bonus Cash $1000 are available are those straight from GM or do they impact any invoice pricing/etc?

$895/mo.+tax.
Yes, the MSRP is used in calculating the residual.
55% is decent.. it is what it is. The bank sets that rate. .00100 is the buy rate. Given the lease parameters as constants, then yes... the selling price is the most important number.
But, like any car deal, purchase or lease, watching out for the extras and markups to financing is also important.
Also, when incentives like the USAA $750 or the GM Select Model Bonus Cash $1000 are available are those straight from GM or do they impact any invoice pricing/etc?
I would think that any of those incentives come from GMC, and shouldn't have any effect on the deal the dealer can give you.

So if the residual is 55% compared to 53% the payment would be lower for the 55% deal? I looked at the GM workbook and it shows 53% for the 36mo supported lease on a Yukon XL Denali. Please confirm that. Thanks!

Another couple of questions...their invoice pricing is coming up about 2k above the pricing here. When i am building the 2015 Denali XL there is no 22" wheel option for $1495 like there is on the actual sticker - see here http://www.bergeysbuickgmc.com/f_WindowSticker?VIN=1GKS2JKJ4FR735331.
My local dealer is willing to go pick up the car from another dealer but tells me the 3% holdback goes to that dealer vs my dealer since it comes from their inventory. Is that true?

Any insight into the specs not showing up correctly on invoice pricing here? Also, it's not a dealer trade, according to him. He is driving someone down to drive it back and won't be giving them another one in exchange.

No insight on the price issues on the general website.
If the second dealer is simply selling the car to your dealer, they still keep the holdback.
2015 Yukon XL Denali 12k and 15k for 36 mos...My BMW lease assumption will be finished in 48 hrs so I am ready to move, assuming the car is still in stock at the remote dealer.
Also, how would Res/MF differ compared to a 2016 Yukon XL Denali? meaning if the all things are equal (CAP cost) how much of a difference between monthly lease payment would you estimate? $25? $75? Trying to get a gauge to see if it's worth pursuing IF I can get the one car I want.

Awesome...thanks...if a dealer is trading vehicles then the 3% holdback would still apply...if they are simply buying a car from another dealer to sell to me then it would not, correct?

That's what we hear.. seems like a complicated way to do business.
What about 10k miles on the 2016? Does GMC (like BMW) ever offer a window towards last 6-12 months of a lease where you can purchase miles at a discounted rate? i.e BMW goes from $.20/mile standard pricing to $.16/mile as a discounted offer.

2016 Yukon XL Denali - .00205 and 57%
2015 Yukon XL Denali - .00080 and 51%. $250 lease cash.
Add 2% for 12K.
Assuming a $70K MSRP and a $65K net cap cost, the 2016 would be $912/mo + tax, the 2015 would be $894/mo + tax.
