looked up the zip code for an address today and there was a Refin link to the address that gave projected value and prior sale value.
Decided to look up my own house and to my surprise it said it sold in 2003 for xxx, xxx.
We have been the only people to live in it and maybe we refinanced back in 2003, but we also did in 2012 and that did not show up.
    Kind of strange.

Some sort of identity theft? Ghost who thought your payments were too high?

Like I say, I am the nicest, easiest going, friendliest, most moral and ethical person in the world....but, mess with me, and I will do whatever I have to in order to get revenge.

For the record, the townhouse was the first one I ever bought, I knew very little about anything back then, the houses weren't really built - just some phony done up models that didn't resemble the final product - people bought with low down payments but everyone was bailing out.

Hard way to learn but it was a valuable lesson in life, and has served me well since then.

We learn lessons every day, Driver!  But some lessons are costly while others are forgotten and come back to bite us in the derrière later in life.

The older we get, the less likely those later in life lessons will come back to bite us - we’ll be long gone by then.  B)

abacomike, so one of your points is, is you're going to mess up, mess up when you're older. Then you'll enjoy your mistake for a good while (but not too long) until you die.

I think what Mike means is....when you make a mistake when you are younger you will have a whole lifetime to regret it, when you are older and make a mistake.............you don't have as long a time to regret it. So, if you are going to make a big mistake, make it when you are older and it won't affect you for very long.

A good example is when somebody like George Bush Sr dove with a parachute for his 90th birthday.

    Got that?

I was at the market this morning and saw a Jaguar parked across 3 slots at a 90 degree angle. The thing that was strange was that it was parked way out in the lot far away from any other cars.

Now when I take my good car out I tend to park away from other cars but I'd never take up two let alone three slots. That's like an invitation to get keyed.

Last night we drove to Sarasota to meet friends....about a one hour drive. The C250 handles beautifully, I have often thought it, but, even my wife commented this is the ideal size for a car, comfortable and yet sporty and nimble feeling. I agree, the E400 is more comfortable and softer riding, but not as agile or fun to drive.

The really bad part is driving on I-75 is truly like driving on a race track. Cars jockeying for position and zigging and zagging to try to move ahead......it is so much more relaxing to just hold speed and distance most of the way, and arrive without your heart pounding and your head ready to explode.

Just testing myself. Seems to be fine. Sometimes I have to wait up to ten seconds for each letter typed to appear on the screen which causes spell check to get confused and turn the sentence into gibberish. Never sure if it's the site, my computer or my service provider.

I-75 down here in West Broward County to North Miami is like driving at Coney Island or Disney World in one of those motor-driven cars tracks. You take your life in your hands driving I-75. I-75 is the only interstate south of Palm Beach that has a speed limit of 70 mph with one exception - The Turnpike south of Miami heading for the Keys. Whenever I drive that section of I-75, cars pass me doing 80+ mph.

Whenever I go north on the Turnpike or I-95, and the posted speed limits are 70 mph, most of the traffic travels at about 75 mph, which is about what I drive on the interstate going to Jacksonville. Drivers are much more reserved up north - but down here - it's a zoo.

Driving on I4 between Tampa and Orlando I had the sub compact rental up to 80 and was barely keeping up with slow lane traffic. Florida would be the place for high performance machinery. Maybe one of those 200mph super cars.

Once you get north of Jupiter, FL, on I-95 or the Turnpike, driving becomes more relaxed and the roads are smoother and easier to navigate.  Upon approaching the Juction of I-95 and I-4, traffic becomes more pronounced.

Ok here's a trivia stumper. In in last year of production how many of the 2004 Olds Aleros produced were sold to rental agencies and what trim level?

I've been told it was 100% but there were 4 trim levels listed for 2004 so I'm doubtful. I have an aquaintence who is considering a GL2 trim and I want to warn him if it was a fleet beater.

well, speaking of TVs, I got tired of waiting for the bedroom tv to warm up and the squealing noise. I had some amazon gift cards, so that's where I focused my search. My original intention was to just replace the bedroom TV, but as I searched, it seemed it just made more sense to upgrade the family room TV and move that one (the aforementioned 55" vizio) to the bedroom. Just ordered a 65" 4K Sceptre. Never heard of them, but it is one of the highest reviewed TVs on Amazon. After the $125 in gift cards I had and the $70 off deal for applying for an amazon credit card and adding ~$40 for a 4-year warranty, it cost me $432. That would be a deal damned near impossible to beat, I think. Hopefully I like the TV.

There's something to be said for the wisdom of age. For example, I was just watching a clip called 'Epic Mustang Fails'. It looks to be mainly youngsters with no concept of how rear wheel drive operates nor simple things such as let off on the gas when the back end is flying. Stepping on brakes seems to be a puzzler too. Look it up for some cringe worthy viewing.

It looks like I’ll be wearing jeans, sweatshirts and sweaters over the Thanksgiving Holiday up in the Jacksonville area when I visit my brother.  40’s and 50’s at night - 50’s and 60’s during the day - Brrrrrrrr!  Down here it will be in the 50”s and 60’s at night and 70’s during the day.  Lots of rain Tuesday for my road trip north.  Those cold fronts are finally making their way down the peninsula.  Nice change after such a hot and stormy summer.

I checked out Sceptre since I hadn't heard the name before. They have become the maker of the best selling TVs in America with fantastic reviews, matching TVs that sell from 2X to 10X as much. They also make the oCosmo brand which is supposed to be their upscale model......or their Genny copy cat of the big boys TVs. People love them, they are based in California, and this article, which is interesting, hints, that the company may be backed by................Sony!

I find it interesting myself. Not bad looking for that era. I can tell you T tops aren't all that. PITA to remove the panels and store them vs doing something like pushing a button to drop a top or roll open a moonroof.

I think the ad says something about HID headlights. You can bet that 70s Monte Carlo is worth a lot more. For style I like the 73+ better but the drivability was impaired by pollution controls.

That's a whopping 8000 miles per year, whereas Bradd is averaging over 15K per year.

Our Outback is averaging just under 8500 a year, and the Jetta 5600 annually.

They got off to a slow start, but finished quite strong tonight.

My son in CA is an Eagles fan.

Tri-Cities Toyota's offer is $14,719 through TrueCar for the 2017 Toyota Yaris 6-speed. A guy on the Scion iA forum told me to not be stuck with just one dealer - comparison shop.

We'll, he pointed out that they need to take the Toyota $2,000 manufacturer's incentive off of that. My salesman's offer says they have taken the $2,000 off already. Who's telling the truth? Because I say the TrueCar price is $14,719 before the manufacturer's rebate, leaving a RealBoy price of only $12,719. Oh, this could get really fun!

We went to Maryland over the weekend to visit with our new grandson. :)

While we were there they got a recall notice for their Grand Cherokee. They were both laughing, although my son seemed a little irritated. I asked what was up and he said, "We will just put that on the pile with the other ones". It's such a nice car. It's a shame there are that many recalls (whatever the actual number is).

Amazingly, (and I probably shouldn't say this, but) he has not had a single problem with his Land Rover.

Bleed green here!  Wow what a game.  I must admit I was nervous at the end of the half, but we took care of business in the second half.

I also really enjoyed the NO / WAS game.  What a comeback by Brees and company.

Just broken in for a Honda. When my 69 Plymouth made it to 100k I stopped and bought myself a drink to celebrate. Back then it was a big deal.

I can't explain why I like this. Odd color, square lines IDK. Maybe it's the T-tops. Never had T-tops.

don't T tops tend to leak also? And what is up with the headlights on that Cordoba?

I actually like the looks of the Monte in the background better.

just like anything else: if the seals go bad, it will leak. Good seals = no leak.

My Ford has only 10k after 40 months. I'm ashamed.
