Fine by me. I’ll stay on 10 indefinitely.

I just got a pop up on the IPad that says I must agree to new terms of service to use some sort of cloud. I don’t use that so I could care less if they stop it.

I was looking at Land Rovers, particularly the Discovery. I noticed that one of the 22" wheels they offer as an option has a retail price of $5,434.84.

That's 84 cents over my budget. I wonder if they will negotiate that? :D:D

Wow, and I thought the dealer asking $1600 for Mustang wheels was a rip off.
Well...I was actually referring to the 84 cents. You would think they would round it up to $5,435 like everyone else does.
But not rounding it up makes them look less expensive.

@oldfarmer50 So it looks like the Mustang guy got away. The police need a way to launch a drone from the police car that can track the runaway guys.

My son had one of those for a short time. He said it wasn't big enough, so he got a Discovery. They are a little quicker - 296 HP, 6.9 sec. 0-60 vs the Sports 246 HP and 7.3 seconds 0-60.

I have a leather-covered book of poems by James Whitcomb Riley from Greenfield IN (IIRC)
that was given to me when I was a teenager by an elderly family that lived nearby. I couldn't
ascertain its rarity or a value because it didn't seem to fit any of the book descriptions I could
find. I should try again to sell it.

If it's Farm Tales it is worth $3.70. An Old Sweetheart of Mine, Little Orphant Annie, are $3.70, and The Complete Poetical Works of James Whitcomb Riley is worth $4.15.
You might get more if you hang on to them for 100 years. If you want to check put the authors name in, on the abebooks.com site. Advanced Book Exchange. A good way to buy used books, and find the value of a rare book.

Actually it's a very good poem, it's called "Snowbound". It's a story about two people hold up in their house during a snowstorm and recalling another time when they were once snowbound with family and the stories they told then. But it's a long poem.

I had a little fun earlier today. First a little background info, I belong to the riders group of my American Legion post and serve as one of it's officers and the head of the group is a guy who we shall call Bob. Ok so I received a text from Bob saying he was in a meeting and needed me to do a favor for him. Well since Bob was retired and the text didn't come from the number I had in my contact list I questioned if it was really him. So I texted him at the number I had in my contact list to see if it was him texting me from another number but he didn't respond for a while. So while I waited I replied to the first text asking what he needed. He replied that he needed me to go get four $100 Apple gift cards for him.

OK, it's official it's not Bob.

So I texted him back saying OK.

He replied saying I should contact him as soon as I get the gift cards.

I waited about an hour then I texted back saying I was at the orchard and I just got the cards.

The texter asked what I was talking about and I told him that I was at the apple orchard with the gift cards so that they can get their apples.

He texted back saying "No, computers"

I replied that they don't sell computers just apples and apple products

    They never texted back.

@snakeweasel It reminds me of my B-I-L. When they phone to ask him if he wants his ducts clean he keeps them on the line for 15 minutes telling them that's exactly what he was looking for. He has 14 ducks that need cleaning, first they have to catch them swimming around in his pond and then they need a good cleaning.

They had more cars than I’ve seen at other BMW dealers. There was a sharp Mineral Gray/Tacora Red M340i xDrive that was very attractive, but the AWD kills it for me.

Even as far south as where I am near Fort Mill, SC just outside of the Charlotte city limits, AWD, 4WD is all the rage. I have never felt the need to have AWD though the Q5 has the Quattro system which is the only way the Q5 is configured. The Q5 is the first vehicle we’ve owned that wasn’t 2WD.

Stock must be fairly low at The BMW Store in Cincinnati, because it seems they have sold off a bunch of their loaners. Six weeks out to get a service loaner, when it used to be two weeks.

Got a call from my twin brother last night informing me that he traded in his 2020 Mercedes GLC SUV for a 2022 Designo Diamond White Metallic Mercedes GLE 450 4MATIC SUV. MSRP was just over $80,000. He tried to get the dealership to discount the SUV, but they were insistent that he pay full MSRP. From what my brother told me after shopping several dealerships was that most of the Mercedes Dealerships were actually getting over MSRP for the same vehicle with no negotiation on the pricing.

But one good thing was that he got $40,000+ for his GLC trade, which is almost $7,000 over what was quoted back in May of this year for a 2021 GLE. So he considered that in making his final decision yesterday.

He described the GLE 450 as fully loaded with just about every option available - even 4 zone HVAC. It has beige leather seating with black carpeting and headliner and dash. He has the 21 inch AMB wheels along with the AMG appearance option. He even has the MBUX Augmented Video for NAV and the MBUX Interior Assistant. Beautiful vehicle.

He's very happy with his decision. I never remember paying MSRP for any vehicle I've purchased - but things have changed with the shortages of new vehicles available for sale due to the semi-conductor shortages.

I was offered $61,000 for my G90 on a trade for 2022 G90, but I just can't see the rationale for buying a new car when my current 2021 G90 has only 3400 miles on it and it's 9 months old. At this rate, I probably won't get up to 5000 miles on the G90 at the end of a year of ownership. With my back still painful and the difficulties I have walking, standing and sitting (6 weeks post op), I just don't go anywhere except for doctor visits. Nope, this could be the very last car I buy.

Last week, I got a pedicure (believe me, I don't usually get stuff like that, but I can't bend to wash my feet or legs). Actually, it was such a nice experience, I'm considering getting one every 3 weeks even after I am able to bend. Also was able to drive up to Boca Raton for a haircut - which was a mandatory activity because my hair was looking like Justin Beeber's hair. My barber said that my full head of hair continues to amaze him for a 77 year old "kid"! I would prefer other item(s) on my body to be like a kid again, but that time has passed. :s:p
