Spent the morning at the Audi dealer, the drive system malfunction was caused by a broken wire charge air pressure sensor. Yay, warranty! Didn't need the recalled brake fluid cap, had the correct one already. Oil change, fluid top off, state inspection and wash. The tech noted that they set the tire pressure all around to 36 psi, that the rears were at 43, perhaps that was causing some noises I was hearing. Yet, the rears are supposed to be at 44 (I'll guess to handle the weight of the battery under the hatch floor), so I'm gonna call tomorrow and ask if there's something they know that my door jamb sticker doesn't. Not much to look at by way of cars, it's been a while since Audi has turned over their lineup. But, ate a good amount of their snacks, before and after I wandered across the street to Wendy's for lunch, and worked from dealer. Being a Tuesday, I guess I was not surprised at how quiet the place was.

Just replaced the pool filter. I had no idea how easy that was. Unscrew two nuts. Put lube on seals and replace. Tighten two nuts.
$750 vs $1500 if installed for me.
———————————————— So, I guess we can expect our invitation in time for the Memorial Day pool opening and cook out. I’ll bring the mustard for the hamburgers and weiners. If you’re going to have rib eyes just let me know and I’ll bring my famous steak seasoning.

Well, after only 8 hours of snow, the drifts in my backyard are already a foot high in places. Supposed to snow through tomorrow morning, so nobody is going anywhere today.
Forecast was anywhere between 8" and 26", with a prediction of 17" for our burg. We shall see.

I've read that pretty much everything is closed in the metro Denver area today, and 800+ flights are cancelled at DIA.
Fortunately the big piles we got in February were no match for the milder temps and heavy rains of the last 2 weeks. Now all we need are some sunny spring-like days to let us come out of hibernation.
A non-snow event year (so far) here in shoreline southern MA. I think the biggest storm atop the hill here was ~4". I have no issues with snow, as winter shall alight, without snow I find it a dull, gray existence. Snow makes it beautiful and takes me back to the simpler times of my youth. Not to mention the rock and roll of my ski heyday!

This year was pretty low in snow totals. Only had to shovel a few times and never too deep. Snow blower never got put to work. Yet!

Landscapers came by last week and put down the first fertilizer application. We've been having some warm weather and the trees are budding. Next week we will be back to freezing temps, Spring only made a visit.

We’re back to snow free all the way to the Canadian border. There was about 5” up in Burlington Monday with some whitecaps on the lake but by this morning everything was clear again.
I’m glad you drought stricken folks in the west are getting lots of precipitation. We had a really wet summer and fall and certainly don’t need any more.

Great view, @mjfloyd1! It’s amazing how straightforward pool filter replacement can be. I would choose $750 for a little elbow grease versus $1500 for professional installation any day. 👍
Hyundai Motor Company just announced a recall on the Genesis 3.3 L turbocharged V6 engines on 2016-2021 G80’s and G90’s. It seems that it may leak oil from the left turbocharger oil supply line. Long-term exposure to high temperatures might result in a leak, and if the oil contacts the V6's exhaust manifold, it could cause a serious engine compartment fire.
So I contacted my service manager and he looked up my car’s VIN and informed me that my car is listed in the recall. He told me he has never seen a vehicle come in with that problem - that about 80 instances have been reported worldwide thus far. He further stated that the replacement parts along with accompanying info on repairs have not been sent out to dealerships yet.
Since he knows how I drive my car (low mileage and shorter trips), it should not be of any major concern to me. He said notices will be sent out by Genesis on or before May 7th to all affected owners.
From my research, they will be replacing the affected part with one made from stainless steel. Only the left turbocharger is affected, not the right turbocharger.
In the 3 years I’ve owned the G90, I really have had no issues or repairs once they replaced the header when I first bought the car. So I will wait for the notice to arrive. My service manager told me that once he receives the new parts with accompanying bulletins, he will call me to make an appointment to bring it in and get a loaner car.
