    Revised Information for Pending Deal:

    2015 C300 Sport Package
    1k Down
    36 months
    12k miles

    MSRP $44335

    Cap Cost $35973
    Residual 61%
    Money Factor .00118

    Payment $486

Is $486 a typo? Based on a $36K cap cost, the payment should be much lower with a 61% residual and .00118 MF.
It was not a typo. Needless to say I passed on that car and dealership.

I received the following from a different dealership and already signed:

    2015 C300
    Sport Pkg
    Sunroof
    Navigation
    12k miles
    36 months

    MSRP 43,655
    Cap Cost 38859
    MF: .00118
    Residual 61%

    $500 Down
    $446/month

They marked up the acquisition fee by $300, but that's the base MF. Looks like you did pretty well, especially with maintenance included.

    2015 C400 4Matic 36/12 - standard MF (around .00200) and 59%.

What state is this? Only a few charge sales tax against the entire selling price.

    Also, what is the MSRP?

NJ taxes the sum of the payments - can be paid up front or added to the cap cost.

With 6000 miles, you should be able to negotiate a pretty hefty discount from sticker - but, the residual value will be manually adjusted for those miles, as well. Probably at .10-.25 per mile.

Ask for the specific MF used in their quote - the dealer is allowed to mark it up for extra profit.

One last question - what is the breakdown of the $2000 up front cash?

Thanks it was fairly easy to get 7K off MSRP from most dealers. The trick is to reduce cap cost don't say anything about wanting a lease. Then once they agree to that you can start running the numbers and say you wont do deals that aren't base MF.

    Hi there,

Could I get an opinion on how this deal sounds?

    No sales tax (Oregon)
    12,000 miles/year
    DMV fees $348

.00119 MF and 61% residual (assuming 36 months).

Adding the acquisition fee to the selling price, I get $415/mo. Looks like a little bit of that $1000 must be going to a CAP cost reduction.

    Very good deal.

Don't remember the exact selling price of the vehicle. I believe it was just around $39,800 range. The percentage discount off MSRP was about 17%. Residual was $30,277.

Initially they wanted about $880 drive off and said it was impossible to do it with $0 drive off at any Mercedes dealership but in the end they came around and agreed to the $0 drive off. The car was for a friend of mine, I just went along to help him understand the lease numbers and make sure he was getting the base MF.

The maintenance deal is probably not a bad idea, but the lease protection is a better deal for the dealer than for you.

I had such a great experience with the people helping me get a JGC a couple months ago. I got it for a great price and now my friend asked me to help her get an MB lease

    She found the following
    MB C300 Sport MSRP: $52540
    Selling Price: $45000
    Term: 36/15k
    MF: 0.00119
Residual: 59% (I think she'll go for 12k mi/year not the 15k this was written for)

Now, the are asking for a $2k drive-off
    1st month payment: 543.06
    Acquisition fee: 795
    Fees/Insurance: 588.50
    Upfront tax: 191.40

Is that right? This is much more than the drive-away cost I paid on my Jeep, more expensive car notwithstanding.

    Thanks for your insight.

Thanks for your input. I think she may have added the 3 year maintenance and wheel/tire protection or something to account for the increased monthly payment. I didn't see that in the leasing paperwork that was photographed and sent.

The dealer called up and gave numbers on a 36/12k lease.
    MSRP: 52,540
    Selling: 45,000
    Residual: 61%
    MF: 0.00119

    Payment: 509.97

    How is that deal?

I get $451/mo before tax with those numbers.

Any money down? What is the net cap cost? If higher than the selling price, find out what's been added.

No cap cost reduction. Nothing is being rolled into the lease. I'm thinking that they jacked up the MF and are only saying it is 0.00119.

I will have to ask her to ask him to provide the math he is using to arrive at those numbers.

That should reveal where the differences are.

How are people getting 15% off MSRP ($52k vs $45k)?  Is there big lease $ out there?  Thanks.

Hi bww, this wasn't for me but a friendof mine who knew I just got a good deal on a JGC. My understanding of her deal is that this was a 2015 and she went at the end of the month when they were desperate to meet their numbers. A little haggling and she got to $45k. I think she could have got a little lower, but you're basically arguing over a couple of dollars/month at that point. Better to save the goodwill for any other negotiations that may show up.

I did discover that the increased MF was due to her credit rating. Not quite 700+ so that was the discrepancy.

New here, but looking at the C class. Dealer has a number of 2015, all less than 8000 miles, some around 3000 - 4000 miles and prices are low. I am assuming these were courtesy cars. Does MB have lease deals on these types of vehicles. Can't find the answer.

If they haven't been titled, they are eligible for the standard MB lease program.

Can get a deal on the selling price, but the residual is also adjusted downward to account for the miles - at .20/mile or so. So, subtract $800 from the calculated residual for a car with 4000 miles on it.

What model, lease term and miles per year are you looking for?

I don't really understand these, looking for cost of lease, price of car after dealer reduction from MSRP. I would like to know what I should pay after I give dealer 2500 and drive away, includes 1st payment. Thank you, sorry for not understanding all that goes into a lease

I can't help you with pricing ... use the tools at the top of the page (make / model / year) to get Edmunds TMV, which is a target you should try to beat.

I would recommend you look at some of the articles here, to get you started:

Are there any lease offers for very low miles, like 5k per year?

7500 miles is the lowest allowance available for MB.

First time car buying(+leasing) experience at dealership in my life. After browsing this forum, I am relieved that I told them I would think about the deal at home and walked away today. Seems like they were trying to rip me off?

    2015 4matic c300 sedan (location: MA)

diamond white, premium pack 1, front heat, blind assist...
    MSRP: 47,895
    Discount: 4380
    Adjusted Sale Price: 43515

    Tax: 2741.5
    Tag and Title fee: 163
    Documentation fee: 349

Total: 46768.5 (they added tax based on whole price, but I just learned MA doesn't tax whole price!!)

    3500 down, 7.5k miles, 36 months: 470.82 monthly
    Residual: 30173.85

Didn't get numbers for MF (I have 700-720 credit score)

I was hesitating because it was much higher than I expected. The guy asked for my company name and after few mins he bsed about company discount and brought down price to 439/mo 36mo terms 3500 down. I still didn't like it and wanted copy of quote and 1 week to think about the deal. I was about to leave then his manager came to me. He showed me other c300s that were on demo and offered me 396 /mo for same term. It wasn't in the color (white or dia white) so I declined. he said he could do 420 for the dia white one. I still walked away because I wanted to do research on the price. Glad I did. Also they were requiring $1000 deposit down before they check the real rates. I didn't like that either.

I called other dealership near boston and they said they do 12% off MSRP and $1250 off after that. Based on my calculations I was getting approximately $400 mo with 0 down and $300 mo with 3500 down based on numbers and assumptions from this forum (thanks Michaell and others in here). Is $300 mo (3500 down) or $400 with 0 down possible or is it too theoretical and not practical numbers? Should I aim for these or bit higher for 2015 C300s that has MSRP of ~47000-48000? Clearly, I am not going back to dealership who quote me 420~470 with $3500 down.

(Edit: My last calculation seems to be off or too optimistic. Maybe I should aim for $350 to $360 mo with $3500 down for cars with MSRP 48000?)
