Not sure that MSDs can be used, since you are already getting a promotional rate from MB. The MSD program information we have from MB is incomplete, but I've heard that a maximum of 10 can be applied.

The car I was looking at has different interior color, so I was given an offer for another car MRSP 52,765. 7,243 off MRSP. Monthly payment 483.24, and only 502.64 amount due at signing. CO tax 7.4%. What you think?

With that information, I get a pre-tax payment of $448.23; with 7.4% tax, $481.40.

Are you sure there aren't some fees (acquisition, dealer) that are being added to the sale price to account for the difference?

I just got this offer for 2015 C300 with MSRP of $49635 for 36month/15K.
$500 month including tax(%8 tax rate in southern california) with tier 1 credit and $1500 drive off( including first month)
Any input will be appreciated

.00136 MF and 60% residual for 36/15. With your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $466.18. Add 8% tax and the payment goes to $503.47. Pretty close to your quote of $500/mo.

Are you adding in the acq and dealer fees and the maintenance into the cap cost or paying it up front?

With an MSRP of $52,765 and a net cap of $46,741 (cap + acq + doc fee + maint), using the MF and residual you've provided, I get a pre-tax payment of $483.75/mo. If I add 6.4% tax to that, the final payment is $514.71.

If your monthly payment quote from the dealer is $493, I'd ask the dealer how they got to that numbers. Somebody's math is off - yours, mine or theirs, I don't know.

Hi There, Just leased a new Mercedes C Class in SoCal. Palladium Silver MSRP 51,965 Selling price $45,529 Residual $ 33,257 The total drive off was $4000 ($500 of it was Fleet discount). Monthly payment $370.35 plus tax $29.63 total $399.98 Lease term 3yr/36mo 7500 miles a year. Increase by $14/month if wanted 10,000 miles a year. I did not buy the prepaid maintenance.

my friend chose to put zero down, but with all the doc/registration fees and first month payment, she paid a little bit over 900 to drive the car home. It's a 36 month, 10K per year lease, the monthly payment is a few dollars more than 400 pre-tax I believe.

Nope... of course, you don't pay it now... .just at lease end. Most captive finance companies waive the fee if you lease another one.

Is it something you would recommend as worth getting?
Is the purchase price negotiable?
I know I am going to get hit up for them when I go in to negotiate my lease next week and wanted to be informed and prepared.

The prepaid maintenance is a good deal if you can get it residualized.

The lease protection is a good deal ... for the dealer. Take care of your car and you can save that money.

The price may be inflated by the dealer, so work to ensure that you pay the base amount.

What I mean is that if you add the cost of the prepaid maintenance to the net cap cost, you will only be responsible for the percentage that corresponds to the residual amount - 65% or whatever it is. Otherwise, you will have to pay the entire amount up front which mitigates the value.

I don't know the base amounts for those items, but I do know the dealer can mark them up.

Actually... to residualize the prepaid maintenance, they add the cost to the MSRP, before calculating the residual. This has the effect of raising the residual of the vehicle, which mitigates a portion of the cost.

Using your MSRP and selling price, along with the 36/15 residual of 60% and autopay MF of .00126, I get a pre-tax payment of $417.57/mo for 36 months.

Are you rolling in your fees and such into the selling price? What state is this - lease tax obligations vary based on where you live.
