I'm looking for the MF on a 3 yr / 12 k lease or 27 months if that's more attractive residual-wise. Somewhere in this thread 36 mo / 15 k was quoted at 58% residual and "standard money factor between 0.0018 and 0.002". Why is there a range? Are exact numbers not available? Also, how much does autopay reduce the money factor?

Correct - we don't have the specific standard MF, just a best guess.
I need help. I previously asked about the money factor for a 2015 C350 coupe and you answered that it was the standard money factor. I don't know what the standard money factor is. Is it .00166 or something else? I had one dealer tell me it was .00240. I had another tell me it was .00180. When I questioned them, both dealers told me to find something in writing that it was .00166. When I checked motortrend.com, their website listed .00166 for the sedans, but they didn't list a money factor for the coupes. Is there somewhere that these rates are published in writing? This is wreaking havoc with my potential deal. Thank you so much for any assistance you can provide.
.00166 is the money factor for the C300 sedan.
The coupe uses Mercedes standard money factor.. Lately, that seems to be somewhere between .00180-.00210, depending on if you are top credit tier, or super-duper top credit tier, or a returning customer. Many, many dealers will mark up that money factor for extra profit.
You can't get .00166 for the coupe..
Last month I leased a 2015 C350 coupe. I am in Los Angeles. Based on my calculations the money factor is .00131. I may want to buy the car out when the lease is done because I love this model. Could anyone let me know if the residual is too high or if my monthly payments are too much? I think I got a good deal. I'm not sure. MSRP: $50,335 Gross Cap Cost: $46,456 Adjusted Cap Cost: 46,157 Residual Value: $31,711 Down payment: $1,500 (includes 1st mo./ taxes, reg., filing fees etc) Term: 36 months 7500 miles /yr Monthly Payments:$599.84 (before tax) end of lease purchase option fee: $150
Got stuck with the low mileage to get the monthly payments down. They also paid me out of my lease on a C250 coupe 4 months early.
Heres the deal that I worked out, C300 4Matic, With all the packages MSRP of $59.590 Selling price of $51590 , $1095 acc fee (marked up cant do anything about it) MF 0.00126 With Autopay discount. 62% 12k miles 36 month $549 per month.

Looks like a good price for a very expensive C300..
I was thinking the same thing… $59k? You must have taken every conceivable option offered OR they had that one sitting there hence the HUGE discount. For that money, probably would have considered the E-Class. The C is a great vehicle… just so many of them out there, the value is hard to sustain which makes it a good leasing car for 3 years.
Yes I did get all the options, except for the air balance, Metallic paint (dealer couldnt find one with it with all the options and wood trim (None available with all the options). So I have Sport package, 19 inch wheels, Premium, Panoroma roof, Lighting, Multimedia, Parktronic, Driver assistance, Airmatic, HUD. and interior package. Airmatic was the killer as there were only handful of these cars available in the country. So now dealer is getting the car from some dealer in state of Washington (Yes from west coast) to Massachusetts where I live. This car is little different to one that I special order but due to fast selling of my car I had to buy one quickly rather than wait for 3 months. I also thought of leasing this because buying a car with this many options didnt make any sense as the value would be decreasing. I thank this forum because of this forum I was able to negotiate the car for a good discount and they couldnt able to mark the MF. Thank you all

I have a deal as follows: 2015 MB C300 36 months/ 12k miles MSRP: $50,290 Selling Price: $44,479 3 Year Prepaid Maintenance: $850 Adjusted Selling Price: $45,329 MF: 0.00126 Residual Value: $31,794 Acq Fee: $795 Dealer Fee: $589 License Fee: 125 Upfront Taxes: 101.54 Rental Surcharge: $60 Tire Fee: $5 Battery Fee: $1.50 Lemon Law Fee: $2 Base Payment: $542.73 Monthly Payment; $580.72

The dealer fee looks pretty steep, but all those little numbers look like state required fees.
If the maintenance residualized? We've seen some Mercedes dealers residualize that amount by adding it to the MSRP, which gives a higher residual, reducing the cost of it.
The residual value already accounts for the prepaid maintenance. He added 50,290 + 850 = 51,140 x 62% = 31794. But then he also added the $850 to the selling price. Is this double counting? I also thought about taking the 2 year maintenance plan which is advertised at $750.

I don't think so ... by adding it to the MSRP, the dealer is ensuring that the amount is part of the residualization.
Dealer fees are extra profit to the dealer ... some states (NY, CA) set a cap on them. Others (FL, CO) allow whatever the market will bear. I've seen fees as high as $699 here in Colorado. Your best bet is to try to negotiate a selling price to offset the amount of the dealer fee.

No..that's the way it should be... by adding it to the MSRP, it makes the residual higher (which is good for you). Adding it to the selling price is where you pay for it..
Dealer fees? Where I live they are usually $99... Next state over they are restricted to $250 MAX, by law.. In Florida, we hear about $699+ frequently.. To me, it's just part of the selling price.. If I have a target price, but the fee is $589, then I want my target price minus $589.
Hi guys, so here's the current deal I'm working on at the moment:
2015 C300 36month/12k MSRP: $49,965 3-year prepaid maintenance: $850 Selling Price: $45,769 (claims to be $1,500 under invoice after $2k winter incentive) Residual value: $30,978.30 Money factor: .00126 Acq. Fee: $795 Doc. Fee: $399.00 Upfront fees: $28.25 Upfront taxes: $92.24
Base payment before tax: $507.55 ($546.76 after taxes) located in Nevada. Total due upfront: $1861.25
How's this look guys? Feel like I could have room to get the sell price down, but salesman claims that they are selling car at $500 over invoice before $2k incentive...

My numbers match yours exactly. Only way to reduce the payment is to get a better selling price.
Thanks for the info Michaell, yea i'm trying to work on getting a lower sell price. What are the chances that the winter incentive currently running goes through next month or some other incentive comes out?

Hard to say, given that next month is the new year. It also depends on how many cars MB wants to move next month, and how many the end up selling (leasing) this month.
Thanks for all your advice. I realized there was an error in the numbers and managed to negotiate the following deal.
36 months/ 12k miles MSRP: $51,040 2 Year Prepaid Maintenance: $750 (residualized, included in MSRP) Selling Price: $45,085 MF: 0.00126 Residual Value: $31,644.80 (62%) Acq Fee: $795 Dealer Fee: $589 License Fee: 96.68 Upfront Taxes: 171.33 Rental Surcharge: $60 Tire Fee: $5 Battery Fee: $1.50 Lemon Law Fee: $2 Cap Reduction: $996.92 Monthly Payment; $471.94

If you residualize the prepaid maintenance, does it get tacked onto MSRP or Cap Cost? Can you also residualize acq fee, dealer fee, registration? Thanks

Thanks, i plugged $750 into both msrp and cap cost. looks like residualizing 750 for prepaid maintenance will save me nearly half that. ill try to residualize as much as possible when i negotiate my deal.

You don't get the choice on whether to residualize the maintenance.. Some Mercedes dealers seem to be able to do this, while others will tell you that they can't.. It's not a "choice" thing..
How is this deal looking...
2015 C300 4matic.
MSRP $47,555
36 mo\10k
Drive-off $2,000
monthely paymen $410 tax included.
What is the selling price? What is the breakdown of the $2000 drive off?
I didn't ask for the breakdown at this point. No one has gotten close to this price yet. Based on .00128 MF and 63% RV, 9% tax, and payment of $410, I'm getting total cap of $42,700.

$410/mo on a car that stickers for $47K is a pretty good deal no matter how you break it down.

Also, I thought that the 3 year prepaid maintenance is $850 from what others in this discussion paid. And, I saw the acquisition fee was $795, not $1,095.

Right, but the dealer added back in a bunch of costs (acq fee, taxes, etc) to take the total cap cost to over $48K. You need both the MSRP and the cap cost to figure the lease payment.
Does Mercedes offer the automatic payment discount of .00126 from .00135 in all states? I'm in NY and the credit person stated they don't offer it on the 2015 c300 4 matic. Thanks.

I've not heard of any geographic restrictions on the auto-pay discount. You might check with another MB dealer in NY to confirm.
Hello and happy holidays! If anyone is around, can you tell me the MF and residual for a 2014 C300 sport, 27 month lease, 10k and 12k miles? Would also consider the 3 year lease if it's more attractive. You guys are the best! Thanks. (I'll put this in the 2014 forum too, but not sure if it's still monitored.)

I am thinking of going to the dealerships in the days before New years (hopefully today) to try and get the negotiated price for as low as possible on a 2015 c300. It seems to me that people on the forum are getting around 16% off MSRP. Does this seem like a reasonable starting off point/expectation? Im in LA, any dealer recommendations?
Also could you guys please help me with the MF for 24 months and 7.5k/10k/12k (miles per yr)? Any chance you have those numbers for a 2015 CLA?

In case this is useful, I have been presented this deal on a C300:
MSRP: $47185 negotiated price:$39185 MF:.00126 (w auto pay) RV:69% (24 months, 10k miles a year) However, after that they tack on the big acq fee: $1095 and this protective treatment on the leather and paint: $395
If I pay the first month: $462.57 I will have 23 more payments of: $462.57 (I rolled the acq fee and the protective treatment in to the financed amount)

You don't get the choice on whether to residualize the maintenance.. Some Mercedes dealers seem to be able to do this, while others will tell you that they can't.. It's not a "choice" thing..

$410/mo on a car that stickers for $47K is a pretty good deal no matter how you break it down.

I'm not sure whether the dealer rolled in every cost into the lease. But, based on my calculation with only the selling price was $439 per month.
Also, I thought that the 3 year prepaid maintenance is $850 from what others in this discussion paid. And, I saw the acquisition fee was $795, not $1,095.
What is the Fees & Insurance?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks
CLA - .00128 and 66% for 24/12
Add 1% for 10K and 2% for 7.5K

In case this is useful, I have been presented this deal on a C300:
MSRP: $47185
negotiated price:$39185
MF:.00126 (w auto pay)
RV:69% (24 months, 10k miles a year)
However, after that they tack on the big acq fee: $1095
and this protective treatment on the leather and paint: $395
If I pay the first month: $462.57
I will have 23 more payments of: $462.57 (I rolled the acq fee and the protective treatment in to the financed amount)
Is that normal? Any red flags or advice?
Thanks and happy holidays
