In case this is useful, I have been presented this deal on a C300:
MSRP: $47185 negotiated price:$39185 MF:.00126 (w auto pay) RV:69% (24 months, 10k miles a year) However, after that they tack on the big acq fee: $1095 and this protective treatment on the leather and paint: $395
If I pay the first month: $462.57 I will have 23 more payments of: $462.57 (I rolled the acq fee and the protective treatment in to the financed amount)
Is that normal? Any red flags or advice?
Thanks and happy holidays
With those numbers, I get $431/mo.+tax..
The acquistion fee is marked by $300 for extra profit. $395 for wax/scotchguard seems sort of silly for a car that you are only keeping for 24 months..
Thanks for looking it over. So the car itself is costing me $431 the extra fees are $30 a month for a total of $460? If so, would I be much better up paying acquisition right away instead of financing (adding it to the cap)?
After lengthy negotiations with multiple dealers this is the biggest discount by far, taking in to account the 695$ extras. I walked out on them and everything but they said they cant budge on those.

Yes, the recommendation is to pay the acquisition fee up front.
I also live in PA and actively working on a deal with my MB dealer. Received a mail offer that includes $3500 off MSRP + $2000 holiday cash for a total of $5,500 off MSRP. Considering the spread of about $3k between MSRP and Invoice, this seems like a good deal. Questions are as follows: 2015 Sport 4matic with base+options+delivery = $49,880.00 Offer letter says 3 year maintenance included. We have 6 payments left on our 2012 that they say are waived. They want $2014 down that includes $795 acquis fee, first pmt and whatever else is in that number. Looking at 36 mos at 12k/mi/year. Their first volley was about $600 per month plus the $2014 down and we of course said NO WAY. Then, they 1/2'd the distance between our current $440 pmt and the $600 and came back at $520.00 which presumably includes taxes. Seems like they are using a higher residual on this lease. Can someone tell me where this fall for a buyer with EXCELLENT credit and factoring the $5,500 off MSRP offer? I feel like this should be about $499/mo with $2k down. Thank you for any input on this.
MF is .00136 and 36/12 residual is 62%.
With an MSRP of $49,880 and a cap cost of $44,380, the pre-tax payment works out to $476.15/mo. So, pretty close to your goal, since I don't know what the tax rate is.
Complete deal and delivery on 12/31 $49,880 msrp 36/12k
$2k down, $474/mo includes taxes
Includes 3 yrs maintenance Loyalty bonus $2k Holiday cash $3,500 Executive Bonus $2,500 (EAB) (One discount may have offset the other) Net price was around $43k

Excellent deal! Should I ever find myself in the market for a C-class, I'll come find you and have you help me with the negotiations.
They started $602 before the holiday.. dropped to $520… Politely told them they were nuts and left. Sent email to Sales person and Manager to memorialize the gap. They came around after the Holiday. Key is you have to be willing to just say "no"… and understand the best they can do. Above all, like Patrick Swayze said in Road House.. "Be Nice.." :-)

MSRP: $47090 prem 1 package, PM2 package 18 inch twin 5 spoke, heated front seats, panorama sunroof, blind spot, rear view camera and burl walnut.
Cap Cost: $40,600
36/12 (62% residual) auto pay discount of .00126, Payment: $404.72
Upfront: NY Taxes 8.625%, Bank fee $795, first months payment of 404.72 and $156 DMV & fees. total drive off: $2681
What do you think? Thanks again.
My only comparison would be my deal from 12/31 that was for a $49.8k car wth $2k down. You paid $680 more at drive off but for a cap cost of$2k less. You did just fine. You can't work that deal any stronger...
I am interested in leasing a 2015 C300 4Matic Sport, MSRP $53515. After some initial negotiation dealer offered me $5000 discount to $48514, with 10k miles/yr, MF of .00136 with no cap reduction for a monthly payment of $565.52 (63% residual value)
Drive off fees (first payment, acquisition fees, etc.) of close to $2600. They won't budge on the lion's share of that drive off fee which is $1175 for the acquisition fee, which they say is normal for the SF Bay Area.
So trying to bring it down even further by having them knock off an additional $1000 on the discount to get me to a $533.83 payment, which I think may still be on the high side, but can live with.
Any thoughts? Has anyone else seen acquisition fees this high in the SF Bay Area for Mercedes? They say it's the standard fee for the area.

Base acquisition fee is $795, which the dealer is allowed to inflate.
With the numbers you've provided, I get a pre-tax payment of $522.93 (assuming a 36 month lease). Don't know the exact tax rate where you live, but 9% takes the payment to $569.99/mo, so pretty close to your quote of $565.52.
Every $1000 off the cap cost equates to about $28/mo savings on the payment (1000 / 36 = 28.xx).
UPDATE on the $565.52/mo for 36 months, .00136 MF, no cap reduction, 8.75% SF tax, $5000 discount off of $53515 MSRP bringing it to $48514 and a 63% residual value.
Walked away from this deal they offered, went through the numbers again at home the night before their year end sale was ending. I emailed them the next morning asking for another $1000 off the MSRP and a reduction on their acquisition fee to get me to a $533.83 payment, and told them if they accepted that number, I would be in to sign paperwork. An hour later I got the deal I wanted, with only a $2,323 drive off. Am now the proud owner of a new 2015 MB C300 Sport 4Matic. Been 2 days and I'm really happy with the car!
Nice job. I'm surprised on one here talks about the Executive Allowance Bonus (EAB). Mercedes has another discount if your company is registered with 15 more leases of any brand. $2,500 on a C class.
Hi, I am new to leasing. No matter how I calculate it my numbers are $100 less than what the dealer is telling me, Info below. Am I doing something wrong?
Dealer info: $55,565 MSRP $50,675 Sale price
.00136 Money factor ($3,418 going towards TTL) $1,095 acquisition fee
12k miles per year (TTL rolled into lease payment) 62% Residual $727/month Payment with 727 due at signing, my calculation says it should be $630/month

What are you using for the CAP cost? And, a more important question... what is the dealer using for the CAP cost?
Thanks for the info. I was using the wrong CAP cost of $50,675. I am trying to get the dealer to knock off $7000 from the MSRP. Do you feel this would be a fair deal or am I being too ambitious?

2 questions: - current MF and residuals for C400 ? (36 month, 10K and 12K)

For the C300, the MF is .00136 and the 24/12 residual is 68%; 36/12 residual is 62%
Deal 1 is harder to evaluate as you don't provide a cap cost.
For deal 2, I get a pre-tax payment of $545.13; I'm guessing that some of the $2000 at signing is buying down the cap cost.
What state is this? Sales tax obligations vary based on where you live.

Deal 2 seems like a great deal, however your tax should be around 7% of the lease payment multiplied by 36 months which equals $1290... the $2640 sales tax seems too high (Almost Double).
We are here in NJ sales tax is 7%, where do you live?
Request your feedback on the following offer (C300 AWD): Vehicle Price: $46,500.00 Dealer offer: - $8,500.00 Vehicle Selling Price: $38,200.00 Tag/Registration = 10% (Santa Clara)
10k miles allowance 36mo: $450 w/taxes $1000 due at signing
The options on the car is not of that much interest to me since I would like the DriverAssistance Package instead of Premium/Multimedia packages and do not need the AWD!!
Should I just order the car that I want which comes to 45K MSRP and hope to get a good price rather than take what is on offer!!

The C300 only comes in AWD.... so, not sure what you'll order?
Actually the build tool in mbusa.com allows you to select 4MATIC as an option.
It is the C400 which is by default AWD only.
I see that.... not available in dealerships, yet... evidently
Lot of local dealerships here in south Florida already have the RWD in. Mercedes is offering $3k dealer cash towards AWD models though, RWD have no current offers

Yeah.. don't even see a lease program for the RWD model. Maybe, next week.
Of course, in the snow belt, we'll never see a RWD 300..

If I could save $2000 by doing the single pay option, and had the cash available, I would certainly do it.
36 Month lease / 15K miles MF - 0.00156 RV - 60% Payment - 490/Mo including tax Drive off - 1000.00
I'm a little confused on the taxes. I thought the taxes are supposed to be only on the portion of the car being used on leases, instead of on the entire purchase price of the car. Sales tax rate is 8% here.
I'm having trouble coming up with the same payment when I calculate this.

Looking forward to the feedback. I cant resist the price of the first deal but i want the second car because of the options. decisions devisions
Deal 1 is harder to evaluate as you don't provide a cap cost.
For deal 2, I get a pre-tax payment of $545.13; I'm guessing that some of the $2000 at signing is buying down the cap cost.
What state is this? Sales tax obligations vary based on where you live.

The options on the car is not of that much interest to me since I would like the
DriverAssistance Package instead of Premium/Multimedia packages and do not need the AWD!!
Should I just order the car that I want which comes to 45K MSRP and hope to get a good price rather than take what is on offer!!
Thanks for your advice and suggestions.
The C300 only comes in AWD.... so, not sure what you'll order?

It is the C400 which is by default AWD only.
I see that.... not available in dealerships, yet... evidently

Yeah.. don't even see a lease program for the RWD model. Maybe, next week.
Of course, in the snow belt, we'll never see a RWD 300..

c300
MSRP 52965
Selling Price 45000
residual 60%
disclosed rate .00159 (.00136 plus reserve rate of .00023)
15k mileage
36 months
1736 down (795 acq fee, 282 fees and ins, 92 tax, 1st payment)
543.16/month (including 11% tax)
Also - any thoughts on a single pay? Looks like the acq fee is waived and the disclosed rate comes down so total to pay up front is 18639.75 vs the above which would be 20726.76 over 3 years
The reserve is extra profit for the dealer...
If I could save $2000 by doing the single pay option, and had the cash available, I would certainly do it.

I'm a little confused on the taxes. I thought the taxes are supposed to be only on the portion of the car being used on leases, instead of on the entire purchase price of the car. Sales tax rate is 8% here.
I'm having trouble coming up with the same payment when I calculate this.
Thanks in advance.
