They waived the last payment on my prior lease for a 2013 c300 4matic ($399) and the turn in fee ($595) for that lease. I went over the miles on my last lease also, so I do have to pay that at a rate of .25 a mile. What do you guys think of the new lease deal?

Mercedes does offer MSDs, but only against the standard money factor, which is much higher. They won't do you any good on a model with a subvented rate, like this one.

10K/yr residual is 1% higher than 12K/yr residual.

All Mercedes leases have a $795 acquisition fee.

I received more information from the dealership. The sales price is $40637 ($7293 off MSRP $47930). Plus $795 acquisition fee, and $1000 down or $0 down. With MF 0.00136 and residual 63%, can you calculate for me for the lease monthly payment?

What state is this? Tax obligations for leases vary based on where you live.

Also, get the dealer to give you the cap cost .. I suspect this number is higher than the sale price - make them explain the difference.

This is KY, sale's tax is 6%. Isn't the lease tax 6%? Also, isn't the sale's price - down payment = the cap cost?

Lease tax should also be 6% of the monthly payment.

Cap cost is the sales price adjusted by the down payment but could also increase due to dealer or bank added fees and taxes.

the offer:
car MSRP is $50,000
down payment is $1850
ONLY 7,500 miles a year!
monthly payment is $525 (including 8.875% NYC sales tax), so pretax payment is like $480.... i guess.

am i getting a decent deal? problem is that this car has $1500 in options i DON'T want, like blind spot assist, wood interior trim, a spoiler (who the hell puts a stupid plastic spoiler on a luxury car?!??!!?) but it doesn't have leather, the option that i actually want. i'm so confused about what to do...

Yes, but only on the standard MF, which is between .00180 and .00220. Any discounted MF from MB is excluded from MSD.

Using the base MF of .00136 and the 36/10 residual of 63%, I get a payment of $414.51/mo with tax using your MSRP and net price.

So yes, I would say there is some markup somewhere in your dealer quote.

That's a great price... even if you rolled in the $2100 in fees/taxes, you'd be around $500/mo. for a $52K MSRP vehicle...

I assumed the $1960 went to taxes and fees and did not reduce the cap cost.

I don't see your dealer's calculations, so I can't tell you where the difference is. I'm sharing what my calculator spits out, and assumed that the lower quote meant that the net sales price is somehow different than what you posted.

The destination fee is included in the residual calculation thus increasing your payment about $25
