Didn't provide me with a selling price.1k down includes all the fees, taxes etc.that is all I would be paying. What dealer in PA offered you that deal if you dont mind sharing.great offer btw.
I figured the $1000 at lease inception was for taxes, fees, etc and that none of it was for cap cost reduction.
Down Payment = Cap Cost Reduction
Out of Pocket - charges due at lease inception that isn't down payment or CCR
Hi Michael, I went in to my local dealer yesterday after coming to this website. I went in knowing what the current mf & rv were supposed to be. Below is what I was offered. They lower residual by 1% and offered mf at .00027. I think I may push back on what I was offered based on the April mf & rv you are explaining. Do you get the same numbers that I do and am I right to push back? Thanks in advance.
Dealers offer 3yr/15,000 Msrp $51280 Sell $47878 (before rebate i qualify for $1000 conquest) Residual $27178.40 (.53%) i thought this was .54% MF .00027 (haven't even run my credit yet) i thought this was .00012 Payment $632.00 includes tax (7%) Payment $609.00 includes tax & conquest rebate
What i think it should be using dealers msrp & sell $: Msrp $51280 Sell $47878 (before rebate i qualify for $1000 conquest) Residual $27691.00(.54%) MF .00012 Payment $610.00 includes tax (7%) Payment $582.00 includes tax & conquest rebate
Just another comment, I am trading in a vehicle and they were very persistent in knowing if it was paid off or not. I would not tell them until the offer on the lease was complete. I think they are going to low ball me significantly. We have not gotten that far. I kept telling them it is irrelevant to the lease offer.

.00012 and 54% are the 36/15 numbers for the JGC Limited 4x4. Is this the model you are trying to make a deal on?
With your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $569.81; after tax, $609.70, so right in line with your calculations.
Ask the dealer what they are using for the net cap cost - if it's different (read: higher) than the selling price, have them explain why.
And, I agree with you - focus on the lease numbers for the new car and leave the trade out of it. One piece of advice, don't use any trade equity to buy down the payment. Have the dealer cut you a check for any equity you have.
Yes I'm sorry, I neglected to mention it is a 2015 JGC Overland 4x4 (I believe to still be same numbers as limited). I definitely plan to take your advice on the trade-in equity. Thank you for your very helpful advice! You offer a great tool and education. knackll

Hey I've been reading posts on the forum and would like to get an estimate on a lease rate for the following:
36months, 10k
MSRP : $40,935
I've received one offer thus far of roughly $380/month and zero down besides taxes, DMV, fees
is there a way to estimate what the total of the other fees would be? I am in Nassau County in New York
What trim level is this for? 4x2 or 4x4? What is the selling price?
There is a bank fee of $595 due at signing as well.
Trim is Limited sorry about that and 4x4
selling is about $39,500, I was quoted $370/month yesterday and about $3300.00 in fees including bank fee, first month, tax, etc. does $3300 sound high?

What state is this? $3300 does seem high for start up costs ... ask the dealer to provide a detailed breakdown of that $3300.
Just got my new 2015 JGC Overland last night. Thanks to Michaell for the assist in the MF & Residual info. Great tool to have with this forum. Also, thank you to the person who posted his deal (screenshot) on 3/18/15. This was the one of the major tools in securing what I believe to be a very good deal.
The actual document that someone provided on this forum on 3/18/15, removed most all the negotiating and got us straight to the point. There was very little haggling. Also, in the beginning the dealer tried to inflate the rate, but thanks to Michaell that was resolved quickly.
Just a comment, I have leased for many years and I see many inquires as to people in general asking, "what my payment will be". My vast experience tells me, it is most important to know what is the Money Factor, Residual, MSRP, & lastly, what the Selling price of the vehicle is. If you have those pieces of information you should be good to go.
Where I struggled was not knowing what the maximum price difference between MSRP And selling price. It's all over the place. This was very important in negotiating my lease. It was helpful to have a few people chime in and offer the MSRP and what selling price they were quoted. Knowing what the dealers are taking off MSRP allows me to know in advance as to where I can be in payment. I prevent myself and the dealer from any undue stress of high expectations that maybe can't be met.
Example, if the most is $4000.00 off, I know I won't necessarily waste everyone's time asking $7000 off or something higher that may be unreasonable. I will know before going into the dealership that maybe I need to look at a different trim level of that vehicle or maybe another vehicle all together if the price works out to be not in my range. In my case I knew that some people were seeing between $3000-$5000 off MSRP. So I told the dealer this is where I need to be. Of course they balked a little, but agreed in the end. It was a fair deal. Could I have gotten more off? Maybe, I guess one could only try to push harder.
I get it everyone wants to get the best deal, but it's better to be reasonable than so aggressive to create stress. Knowing the RV, MF, MSRP & sell price to me is key to a successful negotiated deal.
That said, my deal:
2015 JGC Overland 4x4 $51280 MSRP $45560 Selling price (Includes Rebates) $5720 off MSRP Residual .53 MF .00017 36/15000yr $523.00 Before Tax Just 1st Payment Down

.00087 and 54%. I see no lease cash from Chrysler Financial.
Ok, today is a new day! Just following up on this:
Any idea on the new MF and residual for a 4x4 Altitude in Tulsa, OK? 12/36 mi/mo
.00032 MF and 51% residual
Wow! Are you sure? That is a huge change from .57 and .00018 last month. Why such a drastic move I wonder? I probably wont get the truck now.
No idea why the brain trust at Chrysler Financial messed with the numbers this month ... if sales have been strong, perhaps it's an attempt to cash in on the popularity of SUV's given the low fuel prices.
I just got off the phone with a local dealer who provided me with a lease quote on a JGC limited 4x4 36/12k at 53% residual and .00055 MF AND $2500 lease cash. He stated that numbers were from Chrysler financial. Anyone else receiving the same message?

Just because I don't see the lease cash doesn't mean it's not there.
Thanks Michaell, with your info and others in the forum here's where I ended up going forward with: JGC limited 4x4 36mo/12k 1500 down Msrp 42300 Gross cap cost 39840 Adjusted cap cost 36532 449/mo incl tax
53% residual, .00055 MF $3000 lease rebate Chrysler capital

Can you help me with a 2015 Altitude lease. The dealer said the Net Cap is $37,500 MF .05% with a residual of 58%. Lease term was 36 months 12k miles. I wasn't putting anything down just dmv fees. I am re approved through Chrysler Capital. Does this seem correct? What numbers do you come up with for this month.Thanks.

Altitude 4x4 - .00032 and 51% for 36/12 Altitude 4x2 - .00075 and 51% for 36/12
What is the MSRP? Not sure that the dealer quoted you numbers through Chrysler Financial ... they cannot modify the residual. Though, 58% is the 24/12 residual on the 4x4, with a .00039 MF.
