Thank you to the mods for posting the rates and everyone else who shared the deals they were able to get. This thread has been a great resource, so I'll try pay it forward by sharing my deal.

    I just took delivery on a 2015 Overland V6 4x4.
Harman Kardon and wheel and tire insurance were the only add ons.
    MSRP 48,385 including delivery
    15k/39mo
I received $1,000 more than what I asked (I went off of KBB for trade value) for my trade. I thought this was odd that they would offer more than what I asked for it. Ended up with >$3,500 positive equity.

USBank, not Chrysler financial. Not sure if MF was .00095 or .000095. I asked why they are using this bank when Chrysler's MF is .00001. They said because Chrysler's rebate is only 2.5k as opposed to 6k from USbank, which is a better deal even after making up for the higher MF.
Not sure about cap cost either.

Payments came out to $550 and month including tax(New York City).
First month + DMV due at signing was roughly $900 and taken from trade equity.
    Took that from trade equity.

All in all I walked out with a ~$2,500 check for the trade, nothing out of pocket and $550 a month taxes included.

I took this offer to a few other dealers in the area, and they couldn't match it. 2 managers told me if that is a legit offer that I should take it and run.

Sorry I couldnt be of more help by posting cap cost, MF and resdiual. I know it is a rookie move negotiating based on monthly payments, but whenever I plugged in the numbers using quotes from truecar and dealers and Chrysler's MF and residual, the payment was more than $550, so I am satisfied.

I'm coming from a Mercedes and I LOVE this Jeep!!!

I'm intrigued with the USBank info from Node ($6k rebate incentive). Anyone else finance through them or found any support online links with additional info?

    Thanks

Update: I chatted online with USBank and they told me vehicles leases through USBank vary from dealerhship to dealership. I would imagine this is regionalized, too.

Very regionalized. And we don't have any information to confirm the numbers the dealer gives you.

You can't take cash out of a lease... you can roll everything in, before the rebates are applied, so that you have $0 due at signing.... but, you can't walk away with the rebate.

Hi All. We are negotiating a lease on a 2015 GC Altitude 4x4 in NJ.
I would like to know the MF and Residual Value for a 36/10k and 36/12k lease.
I want to pay TTL upfront. Does NJ tax the entire price and divide by lease term or is the tax only on the monthly lease payment?
The dealer I'm working with tried to steer me away from leasing through anything but Chrysler. Any idea why?
Will the cash incentives get better in August?
Trying to lease through Costco Auto, can dealer incentives be taken off after we negotiate the price?
Thank you in advance for your help.

    .00013 MF and 51%/50% residual.

The tax is on the sum of the monthly payments plus any taxable items paid upfront.... and, it's collected upfront, so you won't have any trouble paying it that way.

Chrysler Capital has the best rates and the lowest lease payment on Jeeps.
No idea what might happen in August.

Don't know how the Costco program works. If you are a good negotiator, I doubt it will be any cheaper to go through them, though.

I'm picky when it comes to sound. I have about $15k invested in my home stereo. The HK system in the Jeep isn't exactly neutral. It's it V shaped, recessed mids and overly boosted bass. The highs were a bit fatiguing, so I turned down the treble. It removed most of the brightness, but also took some high end detail with it. It is no where near as good as the HK systems in Mercedes' cars. Nevertheless I'm satisfied with the HK system in the Jeep. After messing with the limited EQ controls, it is good enough for me to enjoy the music and not get caught up on any bad characteristics. IMHO it is worth the extra few bucks
  • kic74kic74 Member Posts: 13
Thanks. Your feedback matches others I've read online. Wish there were more EQ controls.

Here’s the deal I closed Saturday 8/1/15 with the July incentives and rates. Leased at Liberty Auto City in Libertyville IL.

    10,000 mile 39 month lease. - I don't drive a lot daily.

    Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4
    Customer Preferred Package 23H
    Tow Package
    Sunroof
    Uconnect 8.4N
    http://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=1C4RJFBG5FC925317

    MSRP $43.195
    Selling Price $37958
    Lease Conquest $1,000
    Lease Cash $2500

    Chrysler Financing
    Residual 51%
    Money Factor 0.00077

$438/mo including monthly Illinois/Dupage County tax which taxes the rebates and plates, title, etc. $1289 up front including first payment, plates, title, doc fee and around $400 in negative equity on trade in.

Backing into these numbers in IL is difficult do to the way they structure lease taxes (tax on monthly payment plus tax on rebates, title, plates + my negative equity on the trade.

    Hello Lease Friends
I am looking at a Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 2015 4x4. I live in Maryland and just visited a dealership in Ann Arundel county to possibly take advantage of a $2500 incentive. We are looking to do a 24 month with either 12K or 15K a year. Anyway looking for feedback on how the following numbers look based on a loan from Ally / Dealer with 15K I may not have all the figures you need for assessment:

    Sticker Price : 40,490
    Residual : 58%
    Money Factor : 0063
    Trade In : $3000 value
    Jeep Incentive $2500

What is an acceptable honest monthly payment ?

    Thanks!

A leasing expert is looking for a new car shopper in the Seattle area who needs help navigating the leasing process. The expert will help you go through the leasing process from start to finish for free in exchange for taking a few pictures and/or video of the experience with leasing a new car using an iPhone app. If interested, please send an email to stever@edmunds.com.

Sorry.. but, we don't have ALLY lease numbers, only Chrysler Capital.
Also, isn't Maryland a "full-tax" state on leases? Given that, seems like a 36 month lease would be more cost-effective, as the sales tax is the same, either way.

Hi, can I get the numbers for a GC Overland 2wd and 4wd for 39 months 15k a year. Also do you know the lease rebates for this month? I was told the rebates were the same this month by one dealer but couldn't find the info to back that up. I was offered 2500 in rebates last month when doing a lease. Oh and are they still waiving the acquisition fee? I'm in Arizona if that helps. Thanks!

Hey guys I need help on negotiating this lease, he is telling me how limited this JGC Altitude 4x4 is with Sunroof, Rearview cam, 9 speakers and sub, and tow package. Giving me MSRP with their 4,000$ markup of 45,***. I've done a lot of research and want to know if he's screwing me. He just keeps pushing it's a limited car [non-permissible content removed].

Looking for the new numbers for a JGC Altitude 4x2 in CA, 36mo/12k mi. Would love the 39mo and/or 24mo numbers too if they're any good. Any incentive info would be appreciated, too. Thanks!

So I left the dealership, they had a markup for 4,000 and the best deal he gave me with incentive was 41,625 negotiating back and forth, They did not want to lose a dime. 39 MO 12k miles. Was 585+tax, They were so shady and did not help at all the finance guys were telling me basically they are gonna sell it full price with markup and no less. This is San Jose,CA area

I'm not an expert but I would never pay a mark up on a vehicle. It's just one vehicle. They'll make many more jeeps in the future. Maybe not that exact one but you get the idea. If you're really set on the altitude optioned like that and you can't find others then you might be in a predicament. Just depends on how bad you want it. If it was me I'd be putting that 4k towards a nicer jeep than paying for the dealers fluff. A couple grand more and your at the MSRP of an overland 4x4. Plus more room to negotiate since it's not on the pedestal that the dealers putting that altitude on. Of course you can always play hard ball and try to negotiate it down to something you're willing to pay.

Decided last evening I want it after looking at it for over a year now so a dealer sent me what I think is a decent quote. MSRP $47,380. Selling price $42,912+TTL. Fairly good discount but I know there is still some holdback in there as I negotiate deals for a living. I'll post my final deal here.

There is no way I would pay above sticker on a Jeep. Use the pricing tools at the top of the page (make / model / year) to help get a sense of what price you should pay.

Giving me MSRP with their 4,000$ markup of 45,***. I've done a lot of research and want to know if he's screwing me. He just keeps pushing it's a limited car [non-permissible content removed].

36/15 lease numbers on the Altitude 4x4 are .00013 and 48%.

There is no way I would pay above sticker on a Jeep. Use the pricing tools at the top of the page (make / model / year) to help get a sense of what price you should pay.
Yea its definitely something I am not going to do we walked out of there fast, so far from another dealership 40 miles away I got a quote for a price of 37,947 than without him mentioning any incentives I brought up to the guy that there is a 2,500 incentive along with supposedly another $1,000 lease incentive. So with all that said on a MSRP of 41,625 negotiated to 37,947 before I mentioned the incentives. He is giving me a payment of 461/Month on a lease 36mo/12k with 1,000 down and the $3,500 going towards Cap Cost I believe.

    To Clarify.
Numbers he gave me straight forward because of Costco was MSRP $41,615 down to 37,947 which I did 0 negotiating. Where I'm sort of lost is that I do not understand how the $3,500 from incentives of the competitive lease and current incentives are being applied because I feel like with that 3500 and my 1000 down would bring it lower than $461/month on the altitude 4x4. He did not include those incentives to bring it down to 37,947.

Anyone help me out that would be awesome. This forum is pretty sweet I have to admit I have been reading it for a few days now.

Got a quote for a 2015 JGC Limited, 36/15 (Sunroof, 8.4 UConnect, and 20" Wheels)
    RV 50%
    MF .00035
    Selling Price of 41494.00

    Does this sound correct?

.00035 MF and 50% residual is correct.

What does monthly payment look like on those numbers? 8.8% sales tax in NY. Good deal?

    .00013 MF and 50% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr

Just using MSRP and selling price, payment would be $483/mo.
Subtracting $3500 from that would change it to $386/mo.

But, we haven't accounted for fees, tax, title, etc, etc..
Ask them for the Net CAP cost and a calculation of how they get from the selling price to that number.. That should show you where the $3500 is (or not).

As it turns out they are giving me a monthly payment of 519 for the 2015 JGC Limited:
39 months/15 per year... Not the 36/15 I thought (Sunroof, 8.4 UConnect, and 20" Wheels)
    RV 50%
    MF .00035
    Selling Price of 41494.00

    should I take this deal?

I think you could do better - what is the MSRP on the car and do you know what else are they including in the net cap cost?
