This is typical for Autonation dealers.

They give you a form that is relatively complete for a purchase, but has no specific lease information, other than upfront money and monthly payment. It gives the appearance of full disclosure, but is in fact, missing most of the relevant information for a lease.

What state and tax rate? What is the adjusted cap cost with all taxes and fees added in? I get $370-380/mo before tax.

I also have a leasing company trying to offer me a 60 month lease. I'm not going to do it (I think he is trying to pull one over on me) but could you provide the MF and RV for comparison purposes?

I'm curious, what was the RV and MF that you received and how much cash did you put down? I received a quote for a less expensive Limited and it was a lot more than that!

Agreed! He still quoted me $615/month for a $44k '15 GC Limited; 60 mo/15k. I'm thinking he is hiding a ton of profit in there because those numbers just don't make sense.

This is my first time looking at leases, so please forgive my naivety. Does Chrysler currently have an incentive on the MF? If the adage that you multiply the MF by 2,400 stays true, that would translate to an APR of approximately .384%. Is this correct?

That math is correct. And, yes, that is almost free money on the lease.

Part of the problem is Texas... they push longer leases, because the tax is the same, either way. (high).

Amortizes the tax over more months.. But, I still wouldn't do 60 months, either.

Agreee upon value: $36,080 ($39,580 minus $3,500 in rebates)
$3700 down for TT&L and first month payment
36 month/15k miles
35 payments of $499

Did they give me a good deal? MF is higher than quoted here and the TT&L seems high. Could some of this money due at closing be cap cost reduction?

If this is Texas, sales tax is applied to the entire selling price, which makes leasing very expensive.

Using your numbers as is, I get $449/mo. Base MF of .00016 lowers that to $426/mo.

So, there are some fees hidden in there in addition to the marked up MF.

 Ask for the adjusted capitalized cost, and make sure you understand how that number was arrived at from the negotiated selling price. That should give you your answer

So after a week of negotiations, the best I could get a 2015 limited GC for was $440 per month, 36 months/10k per year with 0 down. Not sure how others are getting better deals than this. I am going to wait another month, there are so many 2015 GC in stock and I imagine the incentives will only get better each month they sit on the lot??

Regardless of inventory, at some point they will stop offering leases on the 2015 models, and replace it with final dealer cash payouts. At that point, leasing the 2015 model won't be a viable option.

When will that happen? I don't know, but you won't have any advance notice.
