Why would anyone want to lease SV +premium pack when you you can get SL + premium for a marginal price increase< and that with moon roof and around view monitor>
Hi,
Could you please provide MF and residual for a 2015 Rogue SL FWD for 36 months and 12K miles in southern California?
We received the following quote for an SL:
MSRP: $31,500
Internet price: $29,392
drive-offs: $814.61
no rebates available
$399.46 w/ tax per month for 36 months, 12k miles
Dealer says residual is 58% and MF is .00092 (which looks high compared to March).
Grateful for your thoughts.
Thanks!
That is the correct MF and residual this months my getting $352.79/mo before tax.
Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is; if higher than the internet price, find out why
Looking to lease a 2015 Nissan Rogue SL MSRP 31,680 in NY, (paying invoice through work program 30,000) can you provide MF//residual or is it same as above?
When I calculate with 58% and .00092 and add in tax and fees with 0$ down I get around $400 for 12,000/36 which is what the dealer is quoting. They want to buy out the last 4 month of my Chrysler lease, should I have any concerns with this?

Yes... those are the correct numbers.
Are they taking your car in trade? Or, just cutting you a check for the last four months? If it's the latter, you may have to worry about end of lease charges, etc...
Thank you! They want to pay it off, won't buy it and it has a scratch that I may get charged for so I'm concerned about that and brought it to their attention. They say if I'm ready to commit they'll look at taking care of that too, not sure how? I'm in no hurry but I don't understand how they can pay off my lease and still be at $400. Do I need to be concerned about the residual being impacted it they pay off my lease?

Really.. the only thing to worry about is the lease-end charges on your current lease... they aren't doing anything to guarantee you won't have those. Without that, I'd be wary of trading out of your lease early

36/12 numbers for the 2015 Rogue SL AWD are .00092 and 58%.
We would need to know the selling price and the breakdown of the $2000 up front in order to comment on your quote.

The selling price is $32.942.67. All the paper says is down payment then it has prices for 0 down $1000 and then $2000
which is roughly $0= $411, $1000=$383 and $2000=$353 hope this helps a little more and thank you so much for the reply

I suspect that not all of the up front cash is going to a down payment .. there are other costs included in that number as well.
However, with what you've provided, I calculate a $0 down, pre-tax payment of $424.09/mo for 36 months. Every $1000 down would reduce the payment by about $28/mo.
Could I please get some assistance on gathering some information on leasing a 2015 Rogue SL AWD. 3 year lease, 15K miles per year.
MRSP: $30,850 Invoice offered through dealer: $25,789 Tax Rate: 7% (New Jersey) Down payment: $2,000 Tier 1 pricing eligible
I am having trouble finding out the residual value and money rate for the vehicle and want to make an educated decision on whether the lease price is viable for me or not. I used cars.com and the residual listed seemed extremely low and money rate seemed extremely high low ($16.525 and .002992).
The dealerships have not been overly forthcoming with the residual rate and were even more hesitant to provide the money rate. Additionally the dealers have been stating that additional fees (tax, title, *fees) were another $1,650.
Any information provided would be greatly appreciated whether it be the residual amount and money factor, or a ballpark monthly lease price.

I am looking for 2015 Rogue SV AWD with MSRP $30,000 in NJ (7% tax).
One dealer is quoting me - selling price of $26,704. - 36 months / 12k miles - 0 down payment - $299 document fees - $254 dealer accessory (security guard theft deterrent)
- $359 per month
Does this sound about right? I get lower payments when I run it with Edmunds.com Lease Calculator.
My homegrown lease calculator gives me a pre-tax payment of $299/mo with your numbers (.00092 MF and 58% residual). Add tax and you're very close to $320/mo.
Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is - if it's different than the selling price (and I suspect it will be), have them explain the math.

I am looking for Nissan Rogue 2015 SL AWD with premium package for 36 months lease/ 15 miles a year.I have employee discount that gives me VPP discount $1000 below dealer's invoice price The car I found has invoice $31,540 ( including destination fee and $305 marketing assessment - I don't know if I have to pay it?) and MSRP $33,210 including destination fee). RV is 57% and MF 0.00092. Dealer gave me deal about $320 down ( doc fee plus plate $257 and $65 sale taxes for $1025 rebate for lease) and $379.27 / 36 payments including 6% Mi sale taxes. Everything comes total to $13700 including 6% sale taxes for 45000 miles / 3 years. Is it good deal or it it is too much with my discount? I wanted to pay in advance all elase but dealer doesn't give any disount. IS it any way to save money if I will pay it in advance or put more money as downpayment?

36/15 lease numbers on the Rogue SL AWD are 57% and .00092, which match what your dealer is telling you.
Using the $33,210 MSRP and $30,540 cap cost (invoice - $1000 + $305), I get a pre-tax payment of $368.02/mo; after 6% tax, the payment goes to $390.10/mo.
I am not aware of any MF discount for a one-pay lease from Nissan.
We do not recommend making a down payment on a lease; if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
Can someone verify these numbers? Going in to see the car tomorrow, thanks in advance! My calculation for monthly payment is coming in lower: MSRP-$24380 Savings- $1232 Selling price- $23148 Rebate- $1025 Dealer addon option- $540 Subtotal- $22663 Dealer fees- $281 Taxes- $833.68 net sales price- $23777.68

Nevermind in texas we have to pay sales tax up front as well as monthly. They rolled that cost in.
Would you please help me to understand this lease offer on Rouge SL, I got monthly payments of $296.20 and Drive-Off up-front of $1770. However, I cannot replicate these numbers with the lease structure that dealer sends me:
MSRP: $32,875 Selling Price: $30,000 Term: 36 month / 12K RV: 58% MF: 0.00092 Rebate: $2,125 Cash Cap Reduction: $1,041.05 Total Cap Reduction: $3,165.05 Capped Fees: $595 Total Taxes (7.725%) : $737.26 Adjusted Cap Cost: $28,166 Lic/Reg Upfront: $334 Upfront Fee : $98.75 Amount Due at start: $3,895 Cash Collected: $1,770 Working Cash: $3,895 Base Monthly Payment: $296.20 Total Monthly Payment: $296.20
I have hard time to understand what is this Cash Cap Reduction: $1,041.05. Sounds like drive off of $1,770 include all the fees and taxes. What are those fees that I have never heard about ?

Your $1770 upfront consists of: $296 1st payment $334 Lic/Reg fee (government fee to register the car) $98.75 fee (you'll have to ask them what it's for) $1041 CAP reduction (down payment).
Your $1770 does NOT consist of: $595 Capped fees (acquisition fee.. this goes to the bank) $737 tax Those were added into the CAP cost.
Hello everyone! I would like some help. This is my first time leasing a car and I would like to know if this is a good price or not? I think it is a bit overpriced, but you are smarter than I am.
2015 Nissan Rougue SV w/ AWD family package and SV premium package (nissan website has for $29,225 with destination and handling included)
The dealership is giving me the following:
Selling Price: $29,625.00
Discount: $2,125.00
Selling Price: $27,500
Residual %: 57%
Residual value: $16,887.25
Money factor: 0.00066
Maryland Tax: 6%
Admin Fees: $300.00
Tag/License Fees: $279.00
Lease options: All are for 15k miles/yr
-> 36 months w/ 500 down = $403.00 -> 36 months w/ 1K down = $368.00 -> 36 months w/ 2K down = $359.00
----------------break---------------
I hope I am right, but I did my own calculations with the numbers above and got the following:
36 months & 15k miles/yr
$0 down
Monthly $324.29 + (19.45 for tax) = $343.75
This did not take into account the $300 for admin fees & $279.00 tags/license fees, which I could give down.
My questions is why is it more on their part and am I missing something?
Thank you for all and any help. I am new at this and if I missed anything please let me know.

The 36/15 lease numbers for the Rogue SV AWD are 57% and .00046. Your dealer is marking up the MF on you for a bit of extra profit.
In Maryland, sales tax is computed against the entire selling price and added to it; this would raise the net cap cost to $29,150. This works out to a payment of $362/mo. The inflated MF is adding about $10/mo to your payment.

Michaell,
Thanks for the quick response.
So the $362 that you mention is that with any down payment?
Also, do you think I can get a better deal if I take these number to another dealer?

My calculations never include a down payment. Note that this is different that money due at signing for fees, taxes, etc.
Getting more than one dealer involved will certainly help you get a better deal - the competition will force them to reduce their price to get your business.

I can pay for the fees and tag/licence there which is $579.

I wouldn't negotiate the payment - negotiate the selling price, and a good payment will follow.
Use the pricing tools at the top of the page - make / model / year - to help you with that.

Can they modify the selling price/MSRP of the vehicle or can they only provide discounts and rebates? Edmunds says Invoice is 27,175 and true car says the average is 27,925. The dealer is giving me (Selling price of 29,625 - discount 2,125) = $27,500.

Target invoice or a few hundred above before applying the incentives.

Do you think I can go lower than that?
Target invoice or a few hundred above before applying the incentives.
Thank you for all the advice. I got the lease for the 2015 Rougue SV AWD w/ family package and nav package for 345 a month with 0 down...I have to pay the first month. I think I did good, thanks to your help. Awesome and you made me smarter!
Congratulations - enjoy the new Rogue. They are sharp looking CUVs.
I'm a long time reader and first time commenter. I have leased about 10 different cars using the info provided on these forums over the years so thank you for the great information always provided.
My question is can you tell me the mf and residual for a 24mth 15K mile lease and a 24mth 18k mile lease on a 2015 4x4 Rogue SV "and" a 2015 4x4 Rogue SL in the state of NY & FL. If you know of any July incentives available for the 2 states that would be great also.
I will also ask a similar question in the Jeep Cherokee lease board using the same terms for a 4x4 Cherokee Limited as I am comparing which car to lease. Thanx!

.00046 MF and 64% residual for 24mo, 15K/yr. for either model.
Not sure how Nissan handles over 15K/yr. Most likely it's $0.10-$0.20 per mile reduction in the residual. (so, 64% minus $600-$1200).

Thanks!
Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is; if higher than the internet price, find out why

When I calculate with 58% and .00092 and add in tax and fees with 0$ down I get around $400 for 12,000/36 which is what the dealer is quoting. They want to buy out the last 4 month of my Chrysler lease, should I have any concerns with this?
Thanks.
Are they taking your car in trade? Or, just cutting you a check for the last four months? If it's the latter, you may have to worry about end of lease charges, etc...

which is roughly $0= $411, $1000=$383 and $2000=$353
hope this helps a little more and thank you so much for the reply
However, with what you've provided, I calculate a $0 down, pre-tax payment of $424.09/mo for 36 months. Every $1000 down would reduce the payment by about $28/mo.

Could I please get some assistance on gathering some information on leasing a 2015 Rogue SL AWD. 3 year lease, 15K miles per year.
MRSP: $30,850
Invoice offered through dealer: $25,789
Tax Rate: 7% (New Jersey)
Down payment: $2,000
Tier 1 pricing eligible
Thank you so much for your assistance.

One dealer is quoting me
- selling price of $26,704.
- 36 months / 12k miles
- 0 down payment
- $299 document fees
- $254 dealer accessory (security guard theft deterrent)
- $359 per month
Does this sound about right? I get lower payments when I run it with Edmunds.com Lease Calculator.
Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is - if it's different than the selling price (and I suspect it will be), have them explain the math.

The car I found has invoice $31,540 ( including destination fee and $305 marketing assessment - I don't know if I have to pay it?) and MSRP $33,210 including destination fee). RV is 57% and MF 0.00092. Dealer gave me deal
about $320 down ( doc fee plus plate $257 and $65 sale taxes for $1025 rebate for lease) and $379.27 / 36 payments including 6% Mi sale taxes.
Using the $33,210 MSRP and $30,540 cap cost (invoice - $1000 + $305), I get a pre-tax payment of $368.02/mo; after 6% tax, the payment goes to $390.10/mo.
I am not aware of any MF discount for a one-pay lease from Nissan.
We do not recommend making a down payment on a lease; if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

My calculation for monthly payment is coming in lower:
MSRP-$24380
Savings- $1232
Selling price- $23148
Rebate- $1025
Dealer addon option- $540
Subtotal- $22663
Dealer fees- $281
Taxes- $833.68
net sales price- $23777.68
Residual- 58% (14140.40), MF- .00092
Down payment- $1000
36months/12k miles
Monthly payment- $298.32
MSRP: $32,875
Selling Price: $30,000
Term: 36 month / 12K
RV: 58%
MF: 0.00092
Rebate: $2,125
Cash Cap Reduction: $1,041.05
Total Cap Reduction: $3,165.05
Capped Fees: $595
Total Taxes (7.725%) : $737.26
Adjusted Cap Cost: $28,166
Lic/Reg Upfront: $334
Upfront Fee : $98.75
Amount Due at start: $3,895
Cash Collected: $1,770
Working Cash: $3,895
Base Monthly Payment: $296.20
Total Monthly Payment: $296.20
I have hard time to understand what is this Cash Cap Reduction: $1,041.05. Sounds like drive off of $1,770 include all the fees and taxes. What are those fees that I have never heard about ?
$296 1st payment
$334 Lic/Reg fee (government fee to register the car)
$98.75 fee (you'll have to ask them what it's for)
$1041 CAP reduction (down payment).
Your $1770 does NOT consist of:
$595 Capped fees (acquisition fee.. this goes to the bank)
$737 tax
Those were added into the CAP cost.

2015 Nissan Rougue SV
w/ AWD family package and SV premium package (nissan website has for $29,225 with destination and handling included)
The dealership is giving me the following:
Selling Price: $29,625.00
Discount: $2,125.00
Selling Price: $27,500
Residual %: 57%
Residual value: $16,887.25
Money factor: 0.00066
Maryland Tax: 6%
Admin Fees: $300.00
Tag/License Fees: $279.00
Lease options: All are for 15k miles/yr
-> 36 months w/ 500 down = $403.00
-> 36 months w/ 1K down = $368.00
-> 36 months w/ 2K down = $359.00
----------------break---------------
I hope I am right, but I did my own calculations with the numbers above and got the following:
36 months & 15k miles/yr
$0 down
Monthly $324.29 + (19.45 for tax) = $343.75
This did not take into account the $300 for admin fees & $279.00 tags/license fees, which I could give down.
My questions is why is it more on their part and am I missing something?
Thank you for all and any help. I am new at this and if I missed anything please let me know.
Thanks,
In Maryland, sales tax is computed against the entire selling price and added to it; this would raise the net cap cost to $29,150. This works out to a payment of $362/mo. The inflated MF is adding about $10/mo to your payment.

The 36/15 lease numbers for the Rogue SV AWD are 57% and .00046. Your dealer is marking up the MF on you for a bit of extra profit.

Michaell,
Thanks for the quick response.

In your opinion what would be a good monthly payment for this car with 36/15 lease and no downpayment, to include taxes? This is what I will shoot for when go to the other dealer tomorrow.
I can pay for the fees and tag/licence there which is $579.
Thank you so much!
