    So I use 68 and .0018 for all scenarios?  24/12, 24/15, 36/12, 36/15.
I have only seen 36/12 #'s quoted on here recently so I don't know the #'s across the board??

I was quoted on a 2016 Highlander Limited AWD in NY with 36/10

    MSRP - $43,395
    Selling price - $41,160
    Taxes - $1612
    Reg/Insp/Tire tax/Acquisition: $947.5
    Residual - $29,508 (68%?)
    MF - .0018
Cap reduction cost = $0 (first payment due at signing)

They are telling me a monthly payment of $549 per month (including tax)

I think i could get the price down further. They told me they would sell me a 15 for $40,900 with a 66% Residual ($28,492) and the same .0018. I feel they could drop the price on the 15 a bit more as well

    Thoughts?

If I add the taxes to the selling price, I get a payment of $499/mo with those numbers.

I don't track selling prices, so can't tell you if there's more room to drop the price.

Find out what else has been added to the price - might be more fees added in that is jacking up the payment.

I worked it out to $516 a month including the taxes and all misc fee's rolled into the lease. still not adding up to the $549. Something is definitely missing. I just emailed there sales department with my breakdown step by step and asked them to check and see where the error is occurring.

We don't have the actual standard MF for Toyota, but that seems to be in the range of what we've seen (.00170 - .00200)

I want thank the people here, especially the moderator, for the invaluable information

i just leased a 2015 XLE AWD in NJ based on 39,523/36,918 - without the detail shared here, I would not have found the $5,000 they built into the dep cost, adding over $100 to my payment.

    Apparently they do
    https://www.toyotafinancial.com/pub/w/#planning_center/financing_options/lease/multiple_security_deposit_program

Toyota allows customers to give up to 10 security deposits. For every extra security deposit given, 0.15% is taken off the annual interest rate in return, reducing your monthly payment. So, if you give all 10 security deposits, you can cut your interest rate down by a total of 1.5%.
So if you convert that into money factor then each security deposit lowers MF by .0000625 or a total of .00625 for all 10 sec deposits. I hope this helps people. Im going to try this out with the dealer.

Also is Toyota offering any reductions or incentives for the highlander at this time?

Not aware of any incentives on the Highlander - one of Toyota's most popular models.

I live in charlotte, nc, and was wondering what the residuals & MF were on the 2015 or 2015 XLE on a 36/12, whether it mattered if I got the car in SC or NC, and what incentives are available? Does the loyalty incentive include Lexus (I have a Lexus RX right now)

any input would be much appreciated.

2015: .00199 MF and 56%-58% residual (hard to tell with SouthEast Toyota).

    2016: No information.

Shouldn't matter if you get it in NC or SC, as both are covered under SouthEast Toyota distributor. You might do better in VA or TN.

I doubt Lexus will count for loyalty.

I walked into a dealership today to look at a 2015 Highlander XLE FWD and finance dept said its a 67% RV but instead of a .0017-.0018 MF they could only do .002....after pleading, they offered .0019 and said they were pulling major strings to get that. Any advice? this was on a 36month/12k miles per year w tier 1 credit.

It's possible that is the base rate for Toyota for where you live; we don't have any solid evidence one way or the other.

Highlanders are quite popular; the MF reflects that.

Check with a couple of other Toyota dealers to see what MF they quote.

So adjusted cap is about the same as the sticker price? Was there a discount involved and the fees and such brough the cap cost back up?

I see. Well the  promotion was "no sales tax" which I didnt pay much attention being that its the law we pay tax so I would think they reduce the price by sales tax then jack it right up with the extras. It does have mudguards, roof rails, the side steps, etc. I feels its not a great deal but not a bad deal either. Being a 2016 (the first one this dealership had) and the color combo we wanted. The only worry I have is the RV at 27,500 after the 3 years.

If this is Texas, they could have tax credits which actually result in you not paying tax.

The payment seems high, relative to the MSRP. At least compared to most of the other deals reported in this discussion.

Yes this is in Texas which If I understand correctly we pay full tax on the entire price. Good deal overall or what do you think?

Benito, to fully grasp if it's a good deal, you must ask the dealer for their selling price. that's just the way I see it. That way you have a clear picture of what you're getting the car for in terms of $. And in the end if its not a good deal with them, then you can use that price as a reference at other dealers and see who would be lower, etc...

    Retail: 44490
    Special color: 395
    All weather mats: 200
    Total acc: 595

The car still isn't at the dealership yet. So I just have the sheet they gave me with the pricing.

On my special Costco pricing to get adj Msrp

The car still isn't at the dealership yet. So I just have the sheet they gave me with the pricing.

Highlanders aren't cheap to lease... $4700 upfront and $495/mo. for a $46K vehicle.

Thanks not sure I understand. So is this a good deal? Is the mf high? Are any of the fees negotiable or overkill? Are you saying this is a good deal or average?

Appreciate your help just making sure before I sign all the papers.

Looking for an updated money factor and residual for 10k miles/ 36 month on 2016 Highlander XLE FWD, in Los Angeles. I assume these will change for this month

We usually show .00190 as the standard MF for Toyota, so yours may be marked up slightly (or not).

According to your figures, the dealer cost is only $1400 under MSRP. That doesn't sound right, and you are paying nearly MSRP for the vehicle. I would try shopping another dealer, and leave out the Costco thing, and see if you can do any better.

The lease program is not great on the Highlander, and it's going to be expensive to lease, no matter what. I don't think you can find a "good" lease deal on this model.

New numbers don't come out until tomorrow. It will be later this week before we have them.

Toyota is telling me they will not do a 10K lease does anyone know if that is correct? Someone gave me a RV for 69% for a 2016 XLE for 36/10 however if Toyota will not do 10K I will end up paying a couple of extra points in RV. Can someone if in fact will only go down to 12k per yr on Highlander?

I don't have any specific information that Toyota does or does not allow 10K leases. Have you checked with multiple dealers to confirm this information is consistent from all of them?
