If you use the advanced search link at the left (it's really small, under search by keyword) and search on the word "Atlanta" in the message text in this discussion, you'll at least see some recommendations for dealerships from members who have purchased an EX in your area. You can try this link to this search.

My research before I bought my '05, the EX V6 with NAV invoice is 26,330+ incl dest charge.
EX-L with Nav - (what I bought) inv=24,330+incl nav +135 for PZEV. I got this at 24,200 + TTL (CA) 2 weeks ago.
I think you asked in another forum (CR-V?) about them and I said they were good.
I just bought another car (2005 Accord EX-L 4cyl auto) from them. I went in there Tuesday night and drove the car out Wednesday night. This is the first time in 25 years of buying cars I have ever bought more than 1 car from a dealer.
If you email me I can tell you who I dealt with.
Price: $22,969 (dealer says invoice + $300)
Documentation & Fees: $1,065 (this is NY where the minimum Acquisition fee almost everywhere is $800 – I probably got taken here for about $200)
Total Price (including all fees except tax): $24,034
Residual: 54%
MF: .0022 (5.28%)
Term: 42 Months
Leasing Company: American Honda
Monthly payment: $331.53 + $28.18 sales tax (8.5%) = $359.71
No Security Deposit
Traded in a ’94 BMW 325i for $4000. Getting a check from the dealer for $3,640.29 (had to pay the 1st months payment up front.
I really didn’t shop around much. I just went to 1 other dealer and got a decent price from him after negotiating a bit. My problem with them was their unwillingness to disclose how they came to the numbers and only focused on a monthly payment.
So, I cold called the salesperson at Huntington Honda (Long Island, NY) I bought my 2003 CR-V from in August 2003. He treated me well last time (I bought it the Friday of the blackout in the NE when a lot of people didn’t have power). I told him what I wanted and had to trade in, and that I wanted all of the numbers ready when I walked in. He showed me the numbers to do the calculations with, and had me work with his manager to get to the above figures. These prices are about $800 lower than the first dealer.
Picked the car up last night. Graphite Pearl, grey leather interior. I’m happy with the deal. I haven't seen the car in the daylight yet, and probably won't until the weekend. :-((
Thanks to:

Terry aka rroyce10 (Real World Trade-In Values) for a great assessment of my trade-in, which allowed me to manage my expectations of what it was worth and what I would get for it.

42.00 Registration
$26,125.39 TOTAL
Oh, I also qualified for the 1.9 financing. I (voluntarily) purchased the HondaCare 5/100 extended warranty from them (financed it in at 1.9) for the same pricing that Curry offers online. This made it even better since I could finance it and was going to buy it online anyway.
Overall, it is a great car and I'm happy with my decision. I couldn't stand the wheel covers, however, so i bought a set of take off 17" alloy wheels from an Acura TL, and am adding the rear trunk lip spoiler from handa-accessories. The car looks and drives amazing.
Its the EX 4cyl with leather interior, either coupe or sedan.
What's the PZEV? I can't find that either. Also, I'm having trouble deciding between the 4cylinder or 6cylinder. Which one would be better? I rented the I4 accord LX and it seemed to have decent power.
Partial Zero Emission Vehicle. It's available in CA and parts of the East Coast I think.
Usually it's a $135 add-on
"Great deal, Anderson & Autonation seem like the best deals in the bay area."
I agree. I'll keep Autonation Fremont in mind the next time. I bought my EX-L with Navi from Anderson 2-week ago.
Bought the deck lid spoiler and mud guards from them 'cause I didn't want to deal with installation. Bought rubber mats (for the rainy season) and truck liner from Handa-accessories.
I never considered the V6 and I didn't give it a 2nd thought. I was only looking at the 4 because of the gas milage (and the differences are probably minimal). There have been some discussions back and forth on the various forms about it including some issues about reliablity in the V6. Take a look in "Honda Accord Owners: Problems & Solutions" and "Honda Accord Sedan".
For what its worth, I traded in an old BMW 325i for the Accord. I've driven a grand total of 35 miles in the Accord since I picked up Wednesday night (I haven't seen it in the daylight yet), so I don't have much experience to speak from. Whichever you get, you'll get used to it. There have been hundreds of thousands of 4 cyl sold, so Honda must be doing something right with them. Its all an individual preference. Personally, I drive hard and fast (which is not really good), but the 4 seemed more than enough for what I needed. I could have afforded another BMW 325i (or something similar), but I didn't want to pay that much. I also looked at the Acura TSX which for another $3000 more than the Accord EX-L 4cyl sedan would have been another good choice.
BTW - the main factors in my getting the EX-L were the side air bags and heated seats (leather needed for those). The Accord was the best compromise of price/performance/features. I drive to the train station everyday and commute into NYC from LI, so the car sits at the station all day.
Its all up to you. Drive both. Nobody on these forums can make the decision for you.
PZEV? Answered above. Here in NY I didn't have a choice.
Thanks
Anyways, I had no intention of buying the car today (and not sure if ever), and with no haggling (just refusal to buy today) the dealer gave me a quote of 200 below invoice with the possibility of going 3 - 400 below. Of course this was a "today before closing only" offer. Just wondering if this is indeed a great price (the actually price quoted was ~23k for a car that was in the 26k range -- i can't recall exact msrp since i didnt write it down). Prices do not include doc fee, taxes, title/reg.
I thought I wasn't allowed to post who I dealt with? That was the only information I provided off-line to him.
Otherwise, the dealer was Huntington Honda, in Huntington, Long Island NY.
The salesperson I spoke with was suprisingly honest about the whole negotiation process and I'd definitely be willing to try and throw business his way since I felt that the experience with him was very positive (even though it may not be my business. I was essentially looking at the accord to see if the upgrade to the acura tl was significant enough to justify ~8k price difference).
Anyways I know listing salespeople is not allowed. If its possible to private message on this forum and not against the rules, I'd be willing to share more info to anyone who messages me on the salesman's name and my experience with said salesman.
That seemed like a good deal and I thought I would post to get some feedback before signing the papers tomorrow! Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I am looking at the specs in the subject seriously. I've noticed that some of you have posted your prices paid. On carsdirect, they ask for invoice for the coupe with navigation (must have) but my dealers are not budging on price. One has claimed that no one will honor the carsdirect price. I've gotten quotes from above and below 27 K. Is this reasonable? I expected a much better offer than carsdirect but perhaps I am wrong.
___Might I suggest that you ask a question about “Accord Coupes” in the Real World Trade In Value thread here at Edmunds? That Coupe is going to cost you approximately the same on the front end and a lot more on the back end when you finally get rid of it That and it doesn’t have nearly the same room as the sedan.
___There are a few redeeming features of the Coupe over the Sedan although they are very slight indeed The Cd of the Coupe is .29 vs. the Sedans .30. The Coupe’s door handles are recessed vs. the sedans std. type door handles. This alone is probably the real reason for the delta in the Cd department. Also, some that have driven both the coupe and the sedan have mentioned the coupe’s seats seem a bit more comfortable? I haven’t driven the Coupe so I cannot verify this?
___I am assuming your price was on the Accord EX V6 was w/ Auto, right? If so, you should be dealing off of ~ $24,600 + tax, title, and license. There isn’t a person in this forum other then those living in Georgia that would care what your OTD price is given your tax rates are probably different then everyone else’s.
___Finally, is there a reason you really need the V6? You should be able to pick up a 2005 Accord EX-L w/out NAVI for ~ $22,300 - $22,500 not including tax, title, or license. If you were to consider the I4, you might want to consider the much cleaner PZEV based one (Coupe or Sedan) available in California, New York, Vermont, Maine, or Massachusetts. Not only is its emissions far cleaner then what you are considering currently but its warranty on that emissions equipment is far longer as well.
___Good Luck

The dealer I went to was Jack Matia Honda in Elyria, OH (suburb of Cleveland). I really wanted the stick and most people don't, so I had tons of leverage. He had 3 LX sticks there but no other '04 models.
I drove the Mazda6 sport wagon with the V6 earlier that day but they didn't have one spec'd out the way I wanted and couldn't get another '04 in my preferred config so I went Honda. I really liked the Mazda but the Accord interior is really of better materials. The Mazda6 wagon has a $4000 rebate on '04 models so they are a good bargin but I still would have paid $3500 more for the loaded one compared to the Accord LX. I think I will go to Europe next year for a few weeks with the money I saved.
Can you give me a little more info on this dealership and the salesman's name?
Thanks
yes, the coupe won out because we already have an 03 CRV ex to handle the hauling needs and this was just a smaller second car for us. (albeit one that is MUCH more fun to drive!) And yes, the coupe seats feel much more comfortable.
Driving home from the dealer in that silver beauty was a dream. Sorry I didn't mention tax before, it was 5% for Cobb County.
RE: the 6 cylinder, that was admittedly a random choice we made. We figured the extra power, bells and whistles and resale value was worth it. If we were enthralled with having a V6 in this car, perhaps our buyer will feel the same when we sell in....20 years. ha!
Working with Hennessy Honda in Woodstock GA, just north of Atlanta, was an absolute dream.
The dealer is on Route 1 in Norwood MA 02062(suburb of boston). Listing websites/salesman names/phone numbers is against the rules. But if you were to do a web search for 'Boch Honda' their website should show up high on the search list.
I guess to detail my experience in full...
I went in to test drive the accord (4 cyl loaded ex), told the salesman that I had no intent of buying that day. Salesman said fine took me out.
Came back, said "their really pushing hard for us to make a sale with every customer so I've got to get you an offer, probably a 1000 or so below msrp. Obviously the first offer isn't the best offer, but you said you weren't going to buy today so the offer probably wouldn't matter. After you refuse it, the manager will want to speak to you."
Now of course, I have no intent on buying, so I'm sure I could've just walked out. But the salesman was nice so I figured I'd see it thru till the end for him, plus its my first car buying experience so nice setting to experience the salesman push/pressure. Also I was suprised that he'd tell me straight up that the first offer isn't the best. This is probably a good assumption to make but it shocked me that he'd be honest like that.
Then he goes over to the main desk (or whatever its called) and comes back "wow their offering you $200 over invoice. I've never seen the price drop so quickly."
So now I'm thinking "wait a sec. Is this guy playing me? Setting me up thinking I'll get an offer close to msrp then coming back with an offer close to invoice getting me to think its a great offer?" I had done no research on honda pricing, so I would have no idea if invoice actually was a good deal or not.
But then the salesman goes on to say "so let me know what to say to the manager as to why you don't want it"
So now it seems that he indeed wasn't playing me and was actually suprised at the low first offer that the desk had told him to make. So i say "well i feel i have to see the other cars on my list before i make up my mind."
So he goes back, out comes the manager with him. Manager asks if i'd buy today if he bumped it down to invoice. I said i still need to see the other cars first. Manager makes big push to say why honda is so much better, that he'd be doing me a disservice if he let me waste my time with the other cars etc etc. Finally he offers 200 below invoice. I say that I'd consider it if he'd leave the offer for a few days. He says he can't, one day only. Asks if any chance I could come back that same day. I say probably not. He says offer stands till closing that day. Then he goes away.
Then another manager (I guess his boss) comes as a final push says "I'm not sure if I can do this, but would you consider buying if i try to take another 1 - 200 off." I say the same thing about needing to see other cars first.
And that was the end of it. Looking at this forum, it seems I really did get a good offer on the car. This kind of suprises me: Either they assumed I was an informed shopper, and/or have some kind of manufacturer incentives to sell the car so low.

I am test driving tomorrow with a local dealer through the Internet Manager. Awaiting my financing approval with my bank (also tomorrow). I'm probably gonna pull the trigger right after turkey day. Looking forward to your comments.
