Just bought a 2003 accord ex sedan
for
out of door cost 23500$.(car cost 21594$)
Just the standard equipment on it.
How did i do?
Very glad I waited for the 2003.
This was unusual price due to my long term relationship with the dealer.
This was only available for pre 9 Sep orders--so I ordered mine on 22 July from first allocation.
Dealer now discounts all 4 bangers $1000 with no negotiation. markroberts.com Bartlesville OK
salesman John Page.

The only things the 2003 it lacks are1.memory controls(his and her settings) for the seats that "luxury cars" have 2. a bigger trunk and 3.a compass -- has anybody had any luck installing an after market compass?
Other than that the car feels like luxury car.
Doug
Any tips on negotiating lower?
What do you think? I need some advice!
the color is graphite pearl (charcoal grey). you opinion please.
He asked for $20990 and said he may cut off to $20000. Is this a good deal?
I call the dealer and was told that it may or may not be extended and that the interest rates would be about 6 or 7 percent. Seems kind of high to me
Preludexl,
What state do you live in. The best price on an Accord SE coupe that I got in CT was $18,400. Are the EX's running that low.
I would look at what kind of advertised financing deals are out there at honda dealers before I went to a dealer...low rates...for 24 mos. isn't always practical...so if you need a 60 mos loan look at those rates... I would decide first on the price of the car and then look at options for financing. I read one article recently that said...people who were getting low interest financing were often not negotiating the best price deals.
But there is no way I'd pay 6 or 7% interest rate in today's market if I had good credit. Interest rates have come down since summer, so I would call their bluff on that one and not let that be a consideration. Or look into financing somewhere else. When you find what you are looking for at the price you want to pay..they aren't going to want to lose the deal over financing if you are that close...they make $ off of that too. So, IMO
time is on your side and w the economy tanking, things are only going to get better for buyers.
Can anyone do Better? Please let me know If this is the best price around. Doc fees (all inclusive)around $240. This includes sticker, plates, etc
Thank you
Thanks,
Was that price for a 4 or 6 cyl??

I went to Chase on-line an applied for a car loan Thursday night.I got approval Friday morning about 9 A. M.
The manager told me they would match the interest rate from the bank. I went back on Saturday to see the finance person. I will see this deal when I pick up the papers next Wednesday.
I only went in for service of my old Honda on Thursday and bought a car.
If you can not get a good deal on the car. Get a good deal on the loan.
By the way, I have an offer by the dealer: $500 over invoice for the LX-V6. So $21,659 is the total before tax. I'm thinking that's a good deal, since to get the Altima V6 with like options would cost probably 3K-4K more (and the premium fuel requirement and lower gas mileage on the Altima). Any comments?
Location: Midatlantic.
Manual - Retail $19,450 | Invoice $17,508.43
Automatic - Retail $20,250 | Invoice $18,227.34
Then add $460 for destination and handling. Did you get that price PLUS $460? If so, that's a good deal still. That's there biggest seller though, and most produced. I'd try for $500 over invoice. $500 over is plenty of profit for a 400,000 car aspirations. This is not a limited production vehicle to demand more. also, they get 3% dealer holdback on top of the $500. that's enough.
I got $201 over invoice (destination already included)
I tried to give the salesman 35 cents to make it even (20 grand).
Any takers?
the dealer ended up charging me $35 more processing fee for doing the financing with them, so I passed the 20 grand mark just like that, and
I did try to persuade them that the processing fee should really be 35 cents, but they said I already gave that to the salesman...
I've been buying and driving used cars for 20 years - this was my first new car purchase.
We are getting our red 2003 Accord EX V6 sedan for $24,750 (includes dimming mirror with compass) + tax + $99 reg/lic + $199 doc fees.
I brought CarsDirect printout with Southern NJ (zip: 08701;$24,624) numbers and they matched the price.
Ask for Mateo - nice, old Italian guy. No pushy tactic, very little BS. Our negotiations took 10-15 min.
Good luck!
$26,260.00-Factory MSRP
$95.00-Honda Mud Guards
$26,355.00-Total retail price
Are people paying full MSRP for this vehicle? Thanks in advance!
Seems someone is getting invoice price for 03.LX.V6. Could you share your experience with me?
I finally took delivery of my new Accord. I paid 23750$ and they threw in a wind deflector, ETCH and muds ( no ohter fees added). I think I was really lucky to get if for this price. Dealership is in North Carolina."
And also what does TT stand for? When one says I got the car for 23,500 with T/T included?
These acronyms are confusing.
We're looking to buy an EX-V6 Sedan. Has anyone done better on price than "andyrus"?
THANKS!
