I live in SC and am looking at 2006 EXL and the sticker price is $24,665. What is the lowest price that I could actually purchase this car for? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
While never in love with it, $21,400 was tempting - EX, I4, manual- Denver. But waiting now for the camry next month. It may be today's japanese buick, but its new features are hard to ignore. Honda will no doubt imprrove next fall, but my dying subaru cannot wait that long!
Dare I say it - sounds like camry for me! Please talk me out of it!
Sorry, can't talk you out of it, go for the Camry!!!
i got a 06 accord sedan exl auto tranny 4 cyl with dest charge for 22438. out the door i paid 24637.80. carbon bronze on ivory leather. how did i do on my negotiating?
Well, I got a total of $4,500 off of a EX V6 Nav Sedan before trade in. In terms of the Camry, the only benefit the Camry will have is that it will be a 2007. Mechanically speaking, its 3.5L V6 @ 268hp will only slightly outperform the Accord's 3.0 V6 @ 244hp and their present 06 V6 is attrocious at 190. Interior wise, Camry will just now be going dual zone and voice activated navigation, things already found on the Accord. Like someone else has already said, perhaps in a few months it would be a good deal but don't expect anything off in March. They will drive those 06's down you...if you look at Toyota's website, dealers are still taking deliveries of 06's even right now.
Thanks all for the feedback! I liked the Accord EX, I4 manual, and 21,400 (incl. dest.) seemed fair (Denver), but decided for some reason to wait. Had never even considered a Camry, but its new design and safety features, especially the ESC option (a big deal, from what I read) have me rethinking. Honda will no doubt upgrade, but this year? Question as to pricing as well - discounts on the new Camry will be hard to come by for a few months, and Honda will be under some pressure. Whatever happens, I will post it here. Thanks again.
Anyone in or near Memphis know what the pricing on an Accord EXL 4cyl Auto is running these days? I have a '98 EXL Accord with 121,000 miles on it that has served me well. I am debating between another Accord versus a Pilot. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Checkout the below for EXL 06 autotranny price comparisions on this forum 1. Msg number 10577 : $21610 plus destination 2. Msg number 10570 : $21732 3. Msg number 10462 : $21850 dest included 4. Msg number 10175 : $22500 dest included 5. I purchased one for $23k dest incl with freebies of 2 free sets of tires during cars life time, 6/100k/100 free powertrain warranty, free splash and wheellocks, 1 free oilchange, free unlimited onemonth premium carwash.
It looks like the lowest price on EXL so far is post number 10462 for $21850 destination included.
I doubt if edmunds website shows those incentives. When I bargained my car, I first asked if they are aware that I could have carsdirect contact them. They immediately lowered the price to carsdirect and then one more step i got it for around $23.05k and so i thought i could have bargained more as it seems they have good incentives from honda.
It does make some difference because right now there is $500.00 dealer cash on the Coupes and LX V-6 Sedans but on Nothing else. It seems people are panicking in the Winter more and more each year to be selling Accords for Net/Net with no incentive.
I'm living in Houston area. I would really appreciate if you could share your experience. which dealership and what the name of that sales man you went to? Is $22187 OTD price?
I think I got a great deal in the NY area. This car was purchased at $24,000 included dest . They tryed charging $349.00 administrative fee. Financed at 4.9. This is $800.00 under invoice. Email me if you need any info. Good luck to al,l I love my honda.
After researching and shopping around for 6 weeks, we finally made the deal and picked up 2006 Honda accord seden EX-L I4 auto w/o NAV.
We paid the following: $22,140 (destination included) $45 (Doc fee) $1941 (Tax, bay area) $28 (DMV Electronic filing fee) $350 (Vehicle Care Program for 60mon/60000miles) $207 (License Fee) $8.75 (California Tire Fees)
We also financed at the dealer and got 4.9% simple interest rate (with $0 down)
The whole transaction was quick and smooth overall, except the time when the dealer was trying to sell us some optional dealer program/packages. We only accepted $350 for VCP (it was $550 initially) at last. However, everything else is great. The dealer is nice, and we get everything done within 90 minutes and are very happy with the car!
I am in Los Angeles area and got several quotes, the best price I got right now is 19550 (include desti. charge). How about you guys? I will really appreciate if you guys can tell me which dealer you went to. thanks a lot!
I don't think it's an HC EW as the services are tied to my dealer. It does routine maintenance (i.e,oil change, tire rotation...) every 5000 miles for up to 60mon/60000mile. The only thing is that I'll have to drive there for services. Well, it's not too far from where I work, so not a big deal for me to visit them every 5k miles.
Can you give me the name of this dealership? I'm looking for a car and most of the dealerships in houston seem to be price gougers. Anyone have any reccommendations for the houston area?
I bought my 06 Accord 4cyl LX SE Automatic at Sierra Honda in Monrovia for 19350 (including destination), and received 3.99% financing, which they were offering at the time. Good luck with your purchase.
I am in Houston TX area and got several quotes, the best price I got right now is 19900 (include desti. charge). How it sounds? Why is it so expensive at Houston?! I will really appreciate if you guys can tell me which dealer you went to. thanks a lot!
Hi, Thanks for your reply, Carbuyerinla. Is there any tricky things or scams this dealer was trying to put on you when you dealt with them? I am about to go there for this car, but before I go I just wanna have some feelings about their reputation and selling methods. Thanks again for your very useful information.
The sales people were friendly. Of course they will try to get as much as they can from a deal. I believe I could have gotten a couple of hundred dollars less, but I was satisfied with the price. I went in knowing that I already secured, a price of 18733 for an LX-AT at another dealership. I didn't feel pressured with the people I dealt with at Sierra Honda.
I hope you have a good experience with them like I did, and get a fair price for your LX-SE. Good luck to you.
I am currently getting prices at invoice for an Accord EX-V6 ($26,300) not including TT&L. I am in New York City. Is anyone getting under invoice? It doesn't seem that dealers have many/if any of these around. I see lots of I-4s but not many V-6 Navs.
Your research rewarded you a lot, drabbit. For the same car (4dr, ex-l) , without navigation, currently, the lowest price I can get is about a few hundreds above $23k and the dealer refused to lower his price. If you do not mind, can you tell me the invoice price and milage of your car? Have you traded in your old car?
We have no trade in. I think the car has 8 miles when we test drove it. For the dealer invoice, I am not sure. I myself uses msrp/invoice from varies websites as an estimation to start with, both edmunds and carsdirect are very helpful.
I think carsdiret offers accord EX-L 4cyl auto at $22955 (incl dest) in bay area right now. If you mention it, there will be some dealers who are willing to match/beat it.
I bought a 2 dr. 05 V6 w/ navi in a the end of 2004.
After about 6 months my salesperson followed up with me to see how I was enjoying my new Accord. I absolutely love this car. But I jokingly told him that I thought the 06's were sweet. He then asked if I was interested in trading my car for an 06 (same options). I said "sure if you can make it worth my while". At the time he could not match the deal I got (1.9 rate, etc.)
But now the within the last week, he's been really hounding me to come in to do a deal on an '06. He said his manager will do whatever it takes to make the deal.
What gives? Where's the catch? Why is he so eager to make this deal? Are there issues with the 06 that I'm not aware of?
I have an old clunker that is going to live through April 30 when its inspection sticker expires...does anyone have an opinion of whether I am better off buying at the end of Feb or march or april? Does it make any difference? The dealer here in the Boston area didnt look too crowded for the Washington Birthday Weekend last week.
Thanks. Yes. Carsdirect offered $22955 for EX-L without navigation. You bought EX-L w/o navigation at $21800. What a great achievement. Does that mean Honda dealer have good incentives right now?
I just purchased an '06 Accord 4cyl LX SE automatic for $19650. in SoCal. It took a little bit of doing to get the price, but I was armed with internet & Edmunds TMV pricing along with info from this forum. The dealer was friendly and professional so I was satisfied with the overall experience. They had just received the car, so their flooring costs were minimal. Of course, they offer a lot of high mark-up add-ons in the finance office in hopes of increasing their margins. I just say "no", otherwise you give all your savings back to them and receive relatively little in return.
I got what I feel was a great deal on an 2006 Accord LX Auto from BOCH Honda in Norwood MA, last weekend (presidents day) including a very good trade in price on my troubled old Altima. So if you are asking for an opinion, i'd say go for it!
I'm looking for pricing information on a 2006 Accord LX w/ automatic in the Central to Eastern Massachusetts area. I suspect Boch or Chambers will have the lowest price.
Has anyone purchased from these dealers recently? What prices did you get?
Thanks in part to the helpful posts in this forum I feel like I got a pretty good deal on my new Accord....
$24,768, including destination Also includes: wheel locks, mud guards, pin striping I also opted for the iPod Music Link*, $350 additional, installed. *See my review here (post by Accord513): http://www.vtec.net/forums/one-message?message_id=472263
I bought the car from Anderson Honda in Baltimore. Nice experience all round.
It's called February. Sales are slow and he's trying to put a month together and on top of that he has 4.9% financing which won't cost him as much to compete with the 1.9% as say 5.9% would.
They were pushing 7 yr maintenance agreements listing for $1500, paint protection for $400, fabric protection for $350, Lo-jacks for $1000 etc. The maintenance agreement can be purchased on the outside for a lot less, the paint and fabric protection are worth about $30 each and all wear off and can be remedied by regularly waxing & scotchguarding your car, the need for a Lo-Jack is a personal decision, but know that Hondas come with an engine immobilizer, so a thief will have to tow your car to steal it.

Does that mean dealers have a large incentive from Honda? I did not see it from edmunds website.
Is $22187 OTD price?

.....from my perspective - some 75 miles NNE of you - 350 is a good price.....would that be a HC EW?
...(now and then, I use your hills to verify that my manual shift dexterity is still there............)
best, ez.....
Thanks.
