wondering if $17,500 or less is a reasonable price right now for a 2012 Accord LX manual trans. Basically the "cheapest" model accord. What is everyone else being offered for this car? Thanks
  • rman66rman66 Member Posts: 21
That looks like a very good deal. Could you share where you got the quote from? I am looking for an EX-L 4 cyl NAVI as well. The best quote I received was about $25700 from a dealership in Ohio. Out here on the west coast, I couldnt get anything better than $26700 (from a dealership in Or)
  • rman66rman66 Member Posts: 21
It appears $6700 under MSRP ($30K) is the best deal I have seen so far here. Are we expecting any better deals as we head into the new model year? anyone with insight
  • rman66rman66 Member Posts: 21
The prices out here on the west coast are always jacked up for some reason.. particularly in the seattle area. bay area is somewhat better with lower prices but nothing compared to Maryland.
This situation hasnt changed over many years. in 2006 when I was looking for a Honda I had to fly into Ohio to buy my car and drive it back to Seattle and in the process saved about $2.5K if you dont count the airfare and hotel charges and my time.

I am willing to pay a premium over the prices in MD to buy at a dealership in the west coast but the price difference is so large ~$3K that I am again beginning to balk at it and weighing the pros and cons of repeating the excercise I had done in 2006.

Does anyone have any info on a good deal/price out here on the west coast (Washington, Oregon, California, idaho, Montana, even Nevada) The premium I am willing to pay reduces with the distance I need to travel, ofcourse.

I am in the Bay area, and I emailed every single Honda dealer within a 2 hour drive from San Francisco. The best deal I got was from Manly Honda (Santa Rosa, CA). I bought a car there last week for 22, 250 (out the door) including t/t/l and destination fees for an Accord Sedan EX. Amazing deal that no other dealer except one (Grace Honda) would even think about matching in the area! Grave Honda would match but only if I bought specific colors.

I had a very enjoyable experience there too - everyone is very polite and helpful. I asked multiple times via email if there were ANY kind of added fees of any kind, and they said no. I was skeptical when I came in, but they were true to their word! Exactly 22, 250 out the door! Highly recommended.

    Hope this helps.

I just reached a deal with Voss Honda on 12 Accord LX Sedan Auto. $18000 plus tax and title and the doc fee. I know Honda has the 1.9% going on now but they told me to wait until Thursday .9% is coming up to 60 months. I am thinking about moving up a model?? The EX Model was $20470. I have shopped Dayton Ohio area and Cincinnati area best so far.

It turned out to be wrong, they made a mistake of this. They sent me another email with a price of $24733 including the dest + TTL= OTD $27069. (2012 EX-L sedan 4I)
I heard 0.9% coming to the 60 months. Almost buy yesterday, but did they did not have the color. Can someone confirm this?
    Thanks

Thanks for sharing both the pricing and the comparison with the Sonata. I've been tempted by all the great reviews on the Sonata, but felt like I could get a better deal on an Accord.

Are you able to share your best written quote? It could make the process a bit easier. Thanks!

I am currently looking to finance, and the best quote I've received for an 2012 Accord LX is $18,558.66. That is with automatic transmission. Also, the interest rate will be 0.9 for up to 60 months, beginning tomorrow 5/24, but supposedly ends on 5/31.
  • irisg1irisg1 Member Posts: 17
My apologies. The best price I've received is $17.589.66, plus destination fees.

Here's some prices from a Honda dealer in eastern Mass.
This includes destination charge. This is for the sedan.
    LX Manual 17,955
    LX Auto 18,657
    EX Manual 20,271
    EX Auto 20,972

Based on my dealings with other dealers, I'd say this is accurate and you should be able to meet these prices at most dealers.
I will say the manual transmission sedans are starting to get in short supply, don't know how many more 2012's will be coming in. Color options are limited on the manuals too.
  • benjaminhbenjaminh Member Posts: 6,633
Those are amazing deals! If that includes destination, that's almost 5000 off of an Ex manual. The Accord is still an impressive car even in its last year. Great Honda quality. I'd sure jump on this if you want an Accord at a great price...

what is the MSRP or Invoice price on the car you bought at Manly? Also, could you tell me what the price exclusive of taxes was that the dealer quoted you.
The out the door price is confusing and is subject to many local considerations and wont be applicable to an out of state buyer like myself. thanks
  • busyizzybusyizzy Member Posts: 3
Sorry, I dealt only with OTD prices, since I was looking only at CA dealers.

I looked at my price paid breakdown and it's as follows:

    vehicle: 20205.14
    Doc fee: 55
    Sales tax: 1722.11
    DMV filing fee: 29

The only addition to that was license and registration fees.

I don't have the MSRP on me right now - I can post that if you want later.

    Hope this helps!

Hi- just took delivery of a 2012 accord coupe EX-L. The dealership and I are located in NY. I have top tier credit. The terms are 36 months and 12K mile per year. I came out of pocket $600 for 1st month, new plates and a small doc fee then I drove off. Car is black on black, auto, leather, xm radio, etc. My payment is $325 for 35 remaining months. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in N. VA and have been negotiating for a couple weeks and now all of a sudden dealers are knocking a lot off. I'm purchasing sometime this weekend. EX Civic Sedan Auto $16990+Freight, Processing, +TTL. Also Accord LX-S Coupe manual 4 cyl, $18600+same as Civic. Local Dealers wouldn't do these prices just a few days ago and now one is claiming it's no big deal for prices like this (After saying the Civic price sounded like it was for an LX earlier.) I hope others are being patient and getting good deals. Now to make up my mind.

I am wondering if I got a good deal. I just bought a 2012 Accord SE for $19,000 even, plus destination fees. I shopped around some, and this price seemed to be pretty good. I figured I'd get it while I could take advantage of 0.9 financing, supposedly only available through 5/31. Does that price sound good, or did I over-pay? I should have it mid next week, as they have to get it from another dealership. It seems white is suddenly in high demand.

Are you kidding!! That's a great price for an SE Accord. Amazing. Smile all the way to the pick up. Congrats. You should love the car.

So you got that price plus the 0.9 financing!? Wow. Honda is really blowing them out the door.

Looks like a great deal. I am also looking around for a similar vehicle in the northeast. After you are done otd, please post the contact information of the dealer and the details of the deal. We will try to get a similar one. Thanks in advance.
  • irisg1irisg1 Member Posts: 17
Thank you. I could have bought the LX for $17,590. So jumping to $19,000 just had me wondering if I got a good deal or if I ahould have tried to get a better price. Ultimately the 0.9% interest is what made me bump up to the SE. That is really an amazing interest rate. It supposedly runs until 5/31. I bet they will extend, as they are trying to clear out their inventory. To anyone looking to finance, you should probably do it soon.

Got 2012 Honda Accord LXP (auto) today evening.

Price paid (OTD) ~18,600 + 0.9% APR for 36 months at Autofair, Manchester NH

Break up - ~18,200 for Accord LXP
    + 399 for destination charge
+ 27 for some fee didn't bother much on it

Process went very smoothly. Sales people were very cooperative.
He said this is the best price he has seen on it ... (not sure how much we could believe on it but ...)

I don't have my record in front of me, but for the Accord LX no add-on's these were my initial quotes: H. San Leandro came in at 19,195 and Seeramonte at 19595. Capitol didn't reply in time. So I took San Leandros numbers to H. Oakland, but I tweaked the message to reflect the pricing that they were talking about but wouldn't put on paper. The end result of that adjustment was 18,795. I told him that I really wanted to work with Oakland (I work for Kaiser across the street) but I was strongly considering a Sonota (lowest qoute $17.9) given its attractive price. "Then I told the guy," Is there any creative way to come down and get really close to the Hyundai number? "I really wanna stay with the Honda, but price is the major consideration." This got the sellers focus on competing with your Hyundai number, not your other Honda dealer quotes where they already know the typical range.

The paperwork I took after his quote was price:18.195 incl 775 dest. Tax was calf+San Mateo=8.25%, doc fee of $29, registration was in the ~$300 range.
Financed at 1.9 for 60. (I know of we'd waited the 0.9/60 was just a few day away, but we needed the car that day for various reasons.
    Hope this helps!

I used the TMV tool to get the dealer retail price for a honda certified used accord V6 coupe and it's showing me a price that's $400+ more than the dealer's selling price. I thought the TMV would always be less than the dealer's price? This looks like I should just pay the dealer's selling price but it doesn't seem right to just pay their asking price without trying for something lower. Am I missing something here?

The out the door price on the 2012 Honda Accord SE 4dr is $21,999. That would include the taxes, processing fee, title/license/dmv fee and accessories. The accessories that are installed to all of the SE's are splash guards, wheel locks and trunk tray. All of which are Honda accessories.
Break up = SE price is 20,519. Rest are TTL and those accessories.

When you say OTD 18600? Does that include TTL or OTD price for just the accord lx-p + TTL in your state?
Did you get any dealer adds on or accessories?

I am looking for a 2012 EX for $20K + TTL in the Bay Area..

Just for kicks I called Spreen Honda in Loma Linda and they quoted me 20,590 + TTL.

I think $20K is possible in the Bay Area and wanted to find out if anyone got a decent price

Has anyone recently purchased an four cylinder Accord EX in the Dallas-Fort Worth area?

I've sent a request using the Costco Auto program thing but there are two things I'm not thrilled about: this Costco dealer is on the other side of the metroplex and secondly, their quote is two thousand more than the person above me has listed. And this is without the dealer installed items.

So is 22K the going rate for an Accord EX, auto, no nav, in the D/FW area or can I expect to do better?

    Thank you

hi guys, just wondering if this is a good deal in the north east. just got back from the dealership and got this pricing.

leasing for $290/month, 36 months, 0 down, tax included.

it seems a bit much to me..

My dealer offered me 20600 on the white new Honda Accord SE, can anyone tell me if this is a good deal? or maybe I can find a better one? Thank you.
  • dhchdhch Member Posts: 7
Thanks a lot. Could you please tell me the OTD price you paid for the car? I just want to make sure whether the price $19000 is OTD price. Many thanks.
  • dhchdhch Member Posts: 7
please share the dealer name, thanks in advance.
  • benjaminhbenjaminh Member Posts: 6,633
That's a very good price. A few people have maybe done a couple of hundred dollars better, but prices vary a bit by dealer and region--and so don't sweat the small stuff. I's a very good price on a very good car. Enjoy!

I just flew to Baltimore to get 2012 accord se for 18,800 + destination from Criswell Honda

So my OTD is just slightly over $21k after taxes, title, etc...

I'm saving $2,000 more than I can get locally and airfare was $95
  • irisg1irisg1 Member Posts: 17
The otd price was about $21,560 fot the 2012 Accord SE. That includes vehicle price of $19k, tax, plates and dealer fees. I pick it up today actually. Took the dealer a few days to get a white one in.
  • landofandlandofand Member Posts: 19
    I just bought a 2012 accord se for 18,876 + delivery + ttl
Purchased from criswell honda in maryland
I'm from Michigan but a cheap flight was well worth it

The guys at criswell are awesome and my sales guy - zaheer rangwala - was fantastic

If you want an accord call them - you won't be diss appointed

I think you can do so much better. I have been looking for an EX-l w/navi. Honda of McKinney will beat any deal by $500.
  • wtdswtds Member Posts: 9
I too am in DFW and looking at EX-Ls (both 4 and 6 and both with and without nav). What are best prices you've been quoted?

Am trying to get a ballpark figure for each of the 4 combos so I can weigh my desire for 6 over 4 and nav over not vs. cost of same.

    Thanks!

    Landofand,

Based on your post, I requested an internet quote from Criswell on a 2012 Accord EXL, sedan, 4 cyl., auto, w/o nav. Their quote was $22,771, which included destination/processing/wheel locks. Quote excluded TTL. Their quote was $700 lower than my previous low from another dealer.

Question: Were there any surprises once you arrived at the dealership, i.e., did their quote hold up once you arrived at the dealership?

    Thanks in advance.
