Sounds like a good deal to me with the GY package you got with it.
I hope we can find that here in So Cal.
  • njiangnjiang Member Posts: 2
Did you have it delivered to you or did you just go in and haggle with them? Also can you give me the name of the salesman that you dealt with? Thank you
  • alg3alg3 Member Posts: 2
I have a Costco membership and arranged with Costco to get pricing. This is the first time I did this with Costco and it was worth it. Costco will send you an email with a salesperson to work with. The Costco arranged price is 100$ over invoice. This price I thought was good. Then, I wanted to check out other dealers prior to committing to Miller Toyota and told the salesman to give me aggressive pricing now or likely I would not consider returning.
With this request,, they gave a price about 400 lower than invoice which was better. I left the dealership and visited Honda and Hyundai. The Honda experience was very poor (another story) and I choose to go back to Miller. Prior to going back, I checked the Washington Post classified and found a Miller Toyota ad which advertised the car for about 170$ lower. I brought the ad into the dealer, they accepted the ad price, got a reasonable amount for the Buick and to seal the deal,, I said I would take the car if they included pin striping. Got the pin striping and the purchased the car. We're happy with the whole process with Miller and would recommend them again. Good luck. Send another note if you have other questions. regards,,,,

Thanks for the help. Can I get the name of the person that you dealt with at Miller Toyota. So in the end, how much below invoice did you end up paying, before taxes? Thanks

    first timer here,

I'm looking to buy either a 2004 SE v-6 with 12,000 miles (Convenience plus package B, ground effects, and a spoiler)or a new Camry SE v-6.

Dealer is asking 21,995 for the 2004 model. How much should I pay?!?

MSRP for a new one would be 26,525...what should i pay OTD with Tax & Tags if i bought it new?!?

    :confuse:

    i'm located in southern Jersey.

    Thanks

I got same thing as your with 17500 out the door from irvine power toyota. They did not give me any Ipod.
  • uhaniluhanil Member Posts: 6
Did you mean 17500 OUT THE DOOR for the CAMRY LE? What color? Automatic or Manual? How much before TTL?
  • ed1234ed1234 Member Posts: 5
When buying a used car, you choose a newer one with high miles or an older one with less miles?

Kbb, nada,... gives the 80,000 mile 98 XLE V6 the same price with the 200,000 mile 2000 XLE V6.

    Thanks,

I've seen a few decent prices lately on the other side of the USA,
how about in good old Southern California?
Or is everyone waiting for the 07?

In the Kansas City area todays paper has this car advertised at $23,700. This looks like a good deal to me. What do you guys think?
  • motownusamotownusa Member Posts: 836
Great Price. If you like the car go for it.
  • countdbccountdbc Member Posts: 14
Two weeks ago, from Koons Tyson Corner I got the Out-The-Price as $8,200(everything is included: tax, title, processing, tag and so on)for 06'Camry, Auto, LE, 4 cycle, with rear curtain airbag package($650). I think it's almost the bottom from that dealer. I hope this is helpful for you. I did not buy that car because I finally bought a 06'passat 2.0T, a better car! :)

Hi there! I work for a Toyota Dealer so here are some things that I would like to warn you of. First, when looking through advertisements, be wary. They tend to be either the stripped down versions or a demo vehicle (which means they have mileage on them). Also, the prices tend to include all rebates, even if you do not qualify for them (such as a recent college grad rebate). Along with that, the ad prices usually do not include destination fee and documentation. If you call the dealership knowing these things and using these key words, they are less likely to try and make a lot of money from you. Hope this helps!

Prices paid on 2006 4-cyl XLE. Thanks.
  • dumbgirldumbgirl Member Posts: 6
Gee, from all the previous posts - I feel I'm getting ripped off here in Ohio. I was just quoted $21,500 for a 2006 LE (out the door price!) And all it had extra was the GY (air bags) and Z1 (mats). Anyone have any prices for the SE? Or other Ohio prices?
  • soman319soman319 Member Posts: 7
thanks for your reply but could you let me know otd price again cause'jan 17th #is misprinted $8200 isit 18200or 19200? thanks will wait for your info.
  • countdbccountdbc Member Posts: 14
Sorry for my typo problem. The OTD price is $18,200. 06'Camry LE with GY(containing rear airbag).

Thanks Jackie for the advise. I am soon shopping for a Toyota Camry (after driving a Honda for 16 years). Any helpful info on 2005 vs 2006? Which model Camry (nothing deluxe) How I can go in with a good price to quote. I will be paying cash and not have a trade-in. I appreciate any help you can give. Jacobsgram

Is $19143 a good out-the-door price for 2006 Carmy LE w/AT &GY? It is about $17900 before tax & TTL. if not, please recommend a dealer. Thanks.
  • nparthinparthi Member Posts: 6
I had been to the 3 dealers around the Dallas area and I am still not able to get even 1 of them to come to $19K OTD for 2006 Camry LE(AT/I-4) without side curtain airbags which would be about 17,600 before taxes. This is after the dealer sending me an email today that he was open this Sunday too as he was trying to meet month end numbers. I also notices that most of the cars the he had came loaded with unwanted featuers like 100K tyre warranty that costs $1000 more.

My friend who lives in Maryland told me that he has been getting prices of 18K before TTL for the same car as mine with side curtain airbags(GY). His OTD was $19,000 OTD for LE + GY option/ GY option itself costs about $650 more than the regular LE.

This is inspite 1 dealer sending me an email that he is selling LEs for Invoice -$1000 which in my calculation is $18,814-$1000=$17,814. But he was trying to convince me that his invoice was $19,450 - $1000=$18450+TTL=$20,000. I think it actually costs about $1400 more to buy a Camry compared to the NE or California.

Texas readers let me know if you have paid anything lesser to the prices I have quoted here.
  • joecarnutjoecarnut Member Posts: 215
    That doesn't sound to bad.
It surprisingly hard out here in California to get a decent price this last weekend.
Probably the dealers who usually have the better prices are mostly out of stock.
Just surprised they aren't doing everything they can to unload them with the 07's on the way.

I just looked at my post and I think I had a momentary lapse of reason.
What I meant to say is they are out of stock on GY packages, yet there still seems to be quite a number of camrys still left and was wondering why prices are still high with the 07s coming.
  • nparthinparthi Member Posts: 6
Any idea if the current rebates will continue after Jan 31st?
  • minnhahaminnhaha Member Posts: 3
Does it have AT? What is the price before TTL? It sounds very good to me. The best I got in MD is a little below $18K before TTL.
  • vhn2000vhn2000 Member Posts: 2
It must've been the hurricane after-effect season. After the insurance money, people are in the market for new cars. That's all I could think of. I've notice that cars on the NE region are cheaper. It's probably because people don't drive much there. They take cabs or train?

I called several dealers(Houston). The cheapest I got was 19500 OTD(including 1k+400 rebate). I haven't tried to negotiate yet. This price was for a basic LE with no other options.
  • 94hawkskin94hawkskin Member Posts: 116
I too was looking at Camry's in Texas (Houston). The cheapest I found was $19,100 for a basic Camry LE with no options that included a $750 rebate at the time (Dec.).

I then got to doing research on the Sonata and bought it for thousands less than a Camry and have been a very proud owner.

Never thought I would own a Hyundai but it really is comparable to the Camry. Everybody in this segment owes it to themselves to check it out and be surprised.

I know this isn't the forum for this post, but I've been seeing a lot of people trying to get the best price and thought I would offer a different solution. Please don't beat me up on this and they are both very fine cars.
  • ravanipravanip Member Posts: 25
    any idea abt the price?
the Edmunds MSRP is $25,905.00 and invoice is $22,889.00
    MD has 5.2% Tax

    Thanks
  • sienna06sienna06 Member Posts: 10
Excellent! You did right thing. I am next in line with you for my next car. BTW - Which car did you buy and how much did you paid (OTD) vs CAMRY?
  • 94hawkskin94hawkskin Member Posts: 116
I bought the GLS I4 with no extra options for $17,300, which included a 1,000 Hyundai Finance Rebate (that I refinanced immediatley) and a $500 general rebate. The car came standard with alloy wheels, four wheel disc brakes, ESC, Side and Side Curtain Airbags, ABS, and a MP3 readable CD player, which allows you to burn about 150 songs onto one CD.

Have 5,000 miles on it already and couldn't be happier. Not a single rattle yet.

I think the Camry and Sonata are both fine vehicles, but why pay more when you don't have to. I think if you got the Camry with all those extras that come standard on the Sonata then your looking at a 21,000 car. And don't forget about the 5 year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and 10 year 100,000 powertrain warranty either.
  • chan101quachan101qua Member Posts: 26
FYI, here in Cali, the best I can get for an strip down (no option, no carpet either :confuse: ) Camry LE is 17000 + TTL.
That price should get a bit better now that they have 1000 rebate instead of 750 rebate. Anyhow, if you willing to spend a bit more, I believe the Camry 07 is a much better choice.
  • seeking1seeking1 Member Posts: 3
I konw a guy who got a new camry, automatic, under $17000 OTD in south cal. It really depends how and when you deal with the dealers. You can get the best price in sou Cal in the whole country I think.
  • joecarnutjoecarnut Member Posts: 215
I'm not doubting you, but where in Ca do you live?
On buytoyota.com the best I see still is 750.00 rebate and I live in SoCal.
  • chan101quachan101qua Member Posts: 26
I live in north cali. Try zip code 95100 at buytoyota.com, you'll see the new $1000 rebate. I guess up north, toyota is losing their market to Accord, so they threw in a better rebate.
  • chan101quachan101qua Member Posts: 26
You can get a better price in North Cali :P . NorCal rule ;)

    :D Just kidding.

Did you pay $17,300 OTD for your Sonata?

    Hi all
i did a price quote in NYC for a NEW 2005 Camry XLE v6 auto transmission and fullyloaded for the total $24,612 with rebates. I haven't negotiate with the dealer yet, Kbb listed this car around ($23,865 w/o rebates)! i just wonder have anyone bought a 2005 version of camry and know how much i can negotiate off from the dealer..

    Thanks
  • 94hawkskin94hawkskin Member Posts: 116
No that was the price for just the car. I only qualified for $1,500 of the $3,000 in available rebates and my dealer also has the $500 regional advertising fee added to there invoice. Other people have done a little better, but I am extremely happy with my purchase.
  • tuffytuffy Member Posts: 63
If ossible, wait till the 2007 Camrys come out in March and then you will see those 2006 prices come way down as dealers across the country try to move the 2006 models off their lots to make room for the new totally revised Camry. I expect you will see the price drop at least $1000 if not more on the 2006 models, especially the LE 4 cylinder which is a readily available model.
  • tuffytuffy Member Posts: 63
I am glad you like your 2006 Passat as I am sure it is a fine car. But under no circumstances is it a better car than a Camry. The ride, quality of workmanship, and reliability of the Camry is far superior to any Volkwagon!
  • tuffytuffy Member Posts: 63
Yes, that is a ripoff! I got a new XLE 4 cylinder with alloy wheels and sunroof for $21,076!
  • nparthinparthi Member Posts: 6
You may be right with the $1000 DROP on 2006 Camrys. I got an email from liberty toyota in NJ that they are selling Camry's $2000 below invoice until Feb 28th (email says they need to sell 50 Camry's in 15 days).

Not sure if this comes without any strings attached or whether it includes $1000 rebate as well.
  • pssrpssr Member Posts: 3
    Hi,
I am planning to buy 2006 Camry SE during the last week of FEB. I came to know that 2007 model is coming into the market in March. Can I get any good deals on 2006 model once after 2007 comes in?
    thanks,
