I started w/these guys in Pleasanton at end of march ..... they had attitude and were jerks. Sales mgr tried to smooth over the damage done by sales force, however I went else where. Maybe they came around or the people are gone.

I was looking to buy a 2009 G37x but now am confused if I should wait for the 2010 model. I have reviewed the changes and looks like there are many changes made since it will be a mid cycle refresh.

Does anyone know when the 2010s will start coming to the dealerships? Does anyone else have the same dilemma?

    Any inputs?

G37x in Blue Slate or Platium Graphite with black interior with premium package listed for $39,230. I got offer for 33,230 + TT at South Jersy(Holman). Thinking I can do better? Anyone have Blue Slate? Is it hard to take care of? What about Platium Graphite? If anyone have Amex code pls e-mail me at jmei98 at hotmail, I will be closing my deal by next week.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
That is a good deal - don't think you can do any better. Blue Slate is super nice as is Platinum Graphite. You will enjoy the car. :)
  • ronnykronnyk Member Posts: 22
That is a good deal. I assume that includes the $2500 from Infiniti. I don't see how you could really do any better. I just traded in my Platinum Graphite G35 for a Blue Slate G37. The PG was nice (though close enough to silver to be a tad mundane), but I much prefer the BS. Yeah, it will need to be kept clean to look good, but it is really sharp.

Ding! - I went to my local Infiniti dealership last week, test drove (for the umpteenth time) a car, told them I wanted Blue Slate with Stone leather, they said they didn't have it but were getting it next week, haggled a bit with an internet quote from another dealer, and ended up buying. I should have it next week.

2009 Blue Slate G37x Sedan, Premium Package, mats, etc for $33,500 + TTL. Good deal?

I opted to get the extended 7 year warranty and their VIP service, free oil changes, car washes, discounts on parts/service, for life for $1k, but we negotiated those prices down a little too.

They wanted to sell me lojack as well, but I decided against it. Anyone has thoughts on getting this?

Also - how does this Amex card rebate work?
  • rametramet Member Posts: 11
Getting G37X with Premium Package.. Is the sports package worth it? I like the look, but not sure the about 18 inches rims.. I am notorious for getting bubbles on my tires.

I will be picking up my new 2009 M35 on Monday 09/28/09. Also looking for a current owner with a referral code to pair up with.

    Thank you!

    Wahobbit,

Seems like a good deal to me, but you need to provide all the details for others to comment. Etc includes what else?

Amex rebate was discussed in detail in the last couple of days if you check the history.

Extended warranty includes 7 years & 100k? How much exactly did you finally settle down for? I guess the ownership is not transferable? Thanx!

    Hi,

I have been following this forum for awhile, and greatly appreciate your contributions. I am in the process of accepting offers for a Journey sedan, premium pkg, perf tires & wheels, platinum graphite/graphite. It seems that this combo is hard to find, but one dealer said he could order one.

I thought I saw a post from you recently that said the last of the 09's were on the ships and that would be the last of them, but now I can't find that post. Is it still possible to order one and wait a few months for delivery? Thanks.

    Paul

I live in the Boston area and a few dealers in the paper last weekend were advertising all Infiniti Sedans were "At Least" $6K off MSRP. You should definitlely be able to get down to $33230 if not lower.
  • phreddycphreddyc Member Posts: 6
I've had Infinitis for about 10 years but actually had been looking at other cars because I felt G37 was out of my range, but a friend said I should check with Infiniti dealer because they are dealing. Here is what Id need to make deal happen. I like the Journey model with prem package so it looks like MSRP would be about 37,000 here in Florida. Have not been to haggle yet but was planning to ask for 2500 off invoice, which would bring it to 32K(seems like 2500 is difference between sticker and invoice), then as I am turning in a 2001 I30 with lots of miles, trying to get 4000 for that, now Im at 28k. Do you think I have room to also ask for 1000 for customer loyalty? essentially Id ask them to sell car at 31k, then lop off 4k for my trade..this would let me get out the door(tax tag etc) for under 30k, my limit..also need some help on understanding the Amex deal..Im going to pull trigger on something by end of month.
  • rdesmanrdesman Member Posts: 43
There is currently $2500 in cash to dealer money available from the factory which should allow you to get the car for about invoice less the additional $2500 if you do not use the factory financing option.
    See: http://www.edmunds.com/new/2009/infiniti/g37/101115175/incentives.html
My suggestion is that you try for the best cash price you can get before bringing up any trade ins as that will surely confuse the issue on stand alone pricing.
The AMEX deal previously noted is that a certain group (I don't know how the selection was made) of previous Infiniti customers were sent a code number in a mailer from Infiniti that would allow them to refer a new customer. If the new customer buys a car then the old customer gets a $150 Amex debit card and the new buyer gets one for $500.

Just picked up the new wheels yesterday...

'09 G37x blue slate with premium package + navigation + cargo net/floor mats/splash guards etc...
$35,200 + $250 doc fees + $25.50 temp tags (bought out of state)
OTD cost = $35475.50 with PA taxes pending.

    Edmunds TMV Invoice = $38.033
True Car Invoice w/o Cargo net/Floor mats/splash guards etc $37,748
True Car Great price = <$37,620

Did I do well? The dealer said he made $67 on me.

Only got to drive the car for a night...it's in the shop for ventureshield and tinting...was trying to keep it practical and got 35% rear and 50% everywhere else. For the standard hood/fenders/side mirrors/bumper + door handle pockets + door edges for venture shield and the tinting it cost $900 total

    Ramet,

I just drove the G37x w/ Premium and Sports pckg yesterday. I really liked it much better than without. Ride was just slightly stiffer (which I liked) and the seats were more comfortable. Not a big fan of the paddle shifters but that is not big deal. MSRP was 40,330 they offered to me for 33,830. I am going to try and get another 300-400 out of them and will probably buy it if they agree.
  • puffin1puffin1 Member Posts: 276
you should as they are trying to lower their inventory and won't lose a sale for a few hundred dollars.

All these first time posters asking someone to take the time to explain what has been explained many times in the last few pages of this thread. If you're going to ask someone to help you....take the time to help yourself a little bit and read a little bit especially since you're asking someone to help you get "free" money. Then if you have questions...fire away.

Oh, and it would be nice if you actually posted the details of your purchase as that is the topic of this thread!

    State and Dealer???
Price before trade and w/o tax and title charges would be nice????. Include dealer fee as that is intergral to the the overall cost as some charge a lot and some charge nominal.

I live in the Boston area and went to Prime Infiniti in Norwood, MA. Sales Rep said any car on lot is $6,000 off. MSRP for G37X with Premium and Nav is $41,065 less $6K is 35,065. This sounds like a really good deal to me. Rep said offer good thru end of Sept (Wed). However if you take the $6K off, no special APR would apply. Not sure if I would have to finance thru Infiniti if I take the offer. However, sounds like I should seriously consider it. I thought I would be paying at least $38K. Any opinion? Go for it or try and get more off? Thanks!

i too just purchased my G37X on saturday 9/26. what is the "redemption code" you write about?
  • phreddycphreddyc Member Posts: 6
Am close to pulling trigger on the 09 G37, Blue Slate and Stone, with Premium package, MSRP 37,500. Im trading in my I30 (giving me 3500) and they are quoting 32,600 out the door. Thoughts?, I think they are still about 1000 away from a great deal but seems like a good deal..Im in Florida, and sales tax is 7%. Im figuring invoice to be about 35000, and after trade, down to 31500 they seem to have come off invoice by about another 2500 to a purchase price of 29000+++..thoughts?

    Hi all,

I purchased my G37x in april and finally received my owner redmption code. If you recently purchased or leased an Infiniti between 8/28/09 - 11/30/09 and would like an AMEX giftcard worth $500 reply to my message. I will need your name, address and VIN number to submit with my code. Thanks, J

Sorry, took a couple days off to hang with kids (yes us car salesman actually reproduce... :) Gonna raise some little carsalesman to help your kids one day)

Next time we order will be Oct 7-9 and when we order G sedans - they will be 2010's. I doubt they will launch the 2010's with any dealer cash.
  • rusduderusdude Member Posts: 41
Perhaps, I've been staring at spreadsheets for too long, but do you mean that you're going to place orders on '10 G37s in October? Or will October be the last time you order '09 G37s? :confuse:
  • pkhoopespkhoopes Member Posts: 27
Thank you kindly for the info. My dealer is going to try to divert a sedan that matches my color/options choice to his dealership, which of course would save me any kind of transportation fee. Should know in a few days if he is able to find one. Thanks again
