$2500 off & 3.9% seems to be mutually exclusive (72 month loan - 60 month is 1.9%). I think your best bet is to get your credit union to fund the loan. Penfed is giving out 3.9%, Capital One has 4.22% etc. - that way you can get the $2500 too. I don't think IFS would do both.
(Edited to fix typos)
I couldn't get the last $500 from the dealer....but I tried
OTD was $2100 under invoice....have to love that

My thinking is when the 2010's hit the street in January, the 08s will be two model years old and since the 07s are selling in the mid to late 20's, the 08s should be around $30K (my target price) December is the end of the year and a slow buying month. I should be in a good position,
The one I have been looking at (08 Journey, White,Camel, 12K miles with Premium andNav) has been sitting for well over a 45 days. It was priced at $37,9 and just "reduced" to $36.9K. Am I out of line expecting a model year older used one to cost at least $5K less than one can buy new? or $11K off original MSRP?
They cannot be bringing big dollars at Mannheim at this time. I'm guessing since they took it in on trade and "claim" to have $32K+ in the car, they are already under auction water and in this small Market (Myrtle Beach) they would not expect to sell the car quickly in November/December. What should I offer? I want to write a check out and hand it to them. It would be up to them to hand the money back. Something I don;t think many dealers would do if they are making even $500 on a tough sell in this environment..........Am I out of line?
Whats funny is I started this trek looking for an Altima Coupe at the Nissan Dealer and stumbled on the G37....08/09 Altima 3.5SE coupes are extremely hard to find.New or used......G37s are everywhere!! LOL
In Texas, 08 with low miles and nav are going for about $30k. I expect to see that go to around $28-$29k soon (all depends on miles and equipment).
PS Decemember is a great car selling month - always has been - maybe end of year or Xmas!
My target price is around $30K Otherwise I may as well buy a 2010 Honda EX-L for $28K....I don't think an 08 G37 is worth $7k more than a 2010 Honda Accord Coupe....
I would pay a $3k Premium for an 08 G37 over a new Honda. But that is about it.
If you compare the same equipped cars, the G should be a lot more than the Accord, at least around 7K. You probably can get a '10 V6 EX-L for 27K + TTL but you need to spend at least ~35K + TTL for 2010 G base coupe Journey (assuming that they will sell the 2010 coupe at invoice in Jan.).

and they gave me full trade-in value for my 07 Civic Si Sedan ($15,500)
what a deal! what a car!
I'm near Columbus Ohio..go to Infiniti of Columbus.
Thanks
I'm over it....The thought of taking a day (or maybe two if overnight) driving 86 miles an for any Warranty work was not something I looked forward to anyway so I went to Honda an bought a Blk/Blk 2010 Accord Coupe V6 EX-L for $28.5 OTD instead...I am tired of dealing with them on that car. I will be happy with the Honda. I may try for another Premium car in a few years. Maybe there will be a dealer in Myrtle Beach!!
Many people move here with Lexus' Acuras and Infinitis and trade them for Avalons,Maximas and Hondas because the nearest Dealers for factory Service are in Charleston.
i think youre right about wanting a dealership nearby for warranty issues. while you'll probably never have any warranty issues with the G or the Honda, the peace of mind of knowing theyre closeby is important.
have fun with your new ride.

Also, I need someone with an unused owner redemption code to partner up for the owner referral program please. Email me at y3chen86 at yahoo.com. Thanks!
BTW, in today's paper the dealership is offering G37 sedan for $5k off sticker. vert is $4k off, coupe is $11k off. Sale on other non-G vehicles too.
If anyone has an unused owner redemption code, kindly email me at iamex@icalyx.com and we will coordinate. Many thanks.
I call this BS. If this is true, you can get a base Journey for ~26K? That's 2-3K cheaper than the Altima coupe SR w/ Premium and Leather.
When you show up at the dealer, they will tell you "Oh, we don't have that one w/ 11K off but we have a similar car." If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
I used the base Journey b/c it has about the same option as the Altima coupe. However, if people can get it for 11K off, that's good for them.
Well, I just check the website, I don't see that you have to buy a loaded model. However, they have the x model w/ premium which is fairly loaded. MSRP-42625 - 11000 = 31,625.
That's still an extreme deal, if you can get that. It's about the same price as (or even cheaper than) those USED 2008.
Thanks,
fgmonzon at sbcglobal dot net
package, spoiler, kick plates, etc. I would say you got a pretty good deal if you got it for that price. Wouldn't that bring the MSRP with those options to over $40,000? If you could give me the breakdown on that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
P.S. Also, is that price before TT & L?
Also, yes. That's the price before TTL. It was a little more than $40,000 OTD (California 9.25% tax is a nut buster).
owner redemption code is given to you by infiniti after you have purchased a car from them. you can use this code to pair up with a new buyer, and receive money for referring him.
I think they only send to selected owners. I own many Infinitis but I don't get the code.
from Plaza St.louis. Good experience. No hassle. One time e-mail got the price, I hate haggling over couple of hundred. Other dealers in st louis, indy and chicago went round and round.
Overall satisfied with dealership
Now, if anyone has unused amex codes ,please share with me.

This is a great forum and was invaluable in my G37 purchase. Thanks to all those who shared their experiences & knowledge, including Sewell GSM
I am now a proud owner of a 2009 G37 Sedan Journey with Liquid Platinum / graphite interior, Premium Package, navigation package, splash guards, all season floor mats, trunk mat and window tinting. The deal was for $33,696 including $600 documentation fee, destination charge and $2,500 incentive! Invoice price on the vehicle was $36,196 excluding floor mats, truck mat and window tint. Basically, the dealer agreed to sell the vehicle for invoice cost with documentation fee included (and incentive not included). I asked the dealer to add window tint, floor mats and truck mat to clinch the deal - about $300 value I guess.
The dealer is Infiniti of Fort Myers in Florida. The internet manager is very good to work with (no non-sense at all) and very professional as well. Infiniti of Fort Myers opened doors 2 months ago it seems, so they are being aggressive. Buyers in Florida -- make a note of it. I drove over 5 hours to get the car, but it was worth it. I donated my old car to a veteran's charity org in Ft Myers and drove back in G37. It was a fun drive back home with premium audio
I am sorry for the long message, but I am sure the details would be appreciated by those looking to purchase.
Now, I would greatly appreciate if someone could partner up with me for the amex reward. Please send me an e-mail to gatorody@carspace.com and I will provide my details, including personal e-mail to communicate.
Thanks a bunch and good luck shopping!
We just purchased a new 2009 EX35 and are looking for a current owner who has not redeemed their code to team-up for the Amex gift card incentive. Please send me an email to gtg804v@gmail.com the following info:

After owner a number of other performance cars (three BMW’s and two Audi’s) I decided to look at the Infiniti G37 this spring. After test driving it a few times I took the plunge and bought a G37 with some custom modifications done by the dealership.
The was great until it after four months the service engine light came on and it stopped running. After it was towed to the dealership they called and told me that the reason the car stopped running is that it was nearly out of oil and that I would be responsible for the repair costs because I had failed to make my regularly scheduled oil change. When I asked who the oil light never came on I was told that on the Infiniti the warning light doesn’t come on until the car is out of oil (some warning!). So, in the end, in order to get my car back I had to pay another $3000.
Now I will be the first to admit that I should have made that regularly scheduled maintenance appointment – and I know the importance of regular maintenance. That said, I would expect a brand new car to run for four months without needing $3k worth of repairs and the argument about the warning light is ridiculous.
So, it’s a good ride, but be warned. Next time I will go back to BMW or Audi.
