Do you have any knowledge of whether or not they will be offering an "X" model of the new G25? If so, I would guess that model with the premium option should MSRP around $32k. Do you think that would be close? Thanks for the info...it has been slim to none so far from other sources.

    Hey Sewell,

Thanks for some info (Its hard finding anything). Will they they offer a manual transmission? Also, have they said how much of an improvement in fuel economy? I am hoping for about 3-4 mpg better than the g37 (25-26 combined mpg) When can consumers order one. I want a 6MT Blue Slate w/ grey interior. I live in Central, TX so chances are I will be ordering from you. Your dealership sounds like the kind of place I would like to do business with.

The G25 in China has 2 versions, one with Nav and one without Nav. The 2.5L v6 produces 235hp and 187 lb/ft of torque.

My local dealers told me the G25s won't be available until Spring of 2011. Bummer. A G25x sounds really sweet :P

    Hey sealbeach_la,
I am looking for almost the exact same car, premium, sport, nav (minus AWD). Probably only 12 or 15K for miles. Looking in the midatlantic region as well and it seems you got a very good deal. What dealership did you get this from?

I saw one of the dealers, around DC, was posting $5600 off MSRP on the some of the sedans on their website. Let me know the dealer, would save me a lot of hassle.

Oh and how do you like the G37? Do the sport seats seem too firm over long trips? Love the grip and adjustability. Just worry about the comfort on 2 hour + drives.

    Thanks,

I can get you the true car pricing +TTL through a dealership in VA. Send me a PM and I will send you the contact info.

The Current 39 Month Lease Residual and MF of .00166 (Tier 1) are as follows:

    10k miles ==> 60% residual
    12k Miles ==> 59% residual
    15k Miles ==> 57% residual

Current Finance Rates for (TIER 1 Credit):

    1.9% for 66 MO
    0% for 36 MO

It took me a week to get used to the seats. You can make it firm or you can deflate it for it to be a lil more supple. All in all I like the vehicle and I am getting 25.6 Miles/Gallon AVG on VA267/495.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! I of course was working, but it is what it is. For those of you who don't know me already, I'm one of the internet sales reps at Infiniti of Tampa.

Here is what were being told from our training rep who was here a few weeks go for the new 2011 QX56 training.

The G25 Sedan will be offered in only 3 trim levels. G25 BASE, G25 Journey Edition, and G25 Journey Edition w/ Moonroof. That's it. No additional upgrades available, such as nav, sport, tech and so on. That means no 6MT either if what were being told is correct.

Reason behind this is that if you want the nav and other equipment they want you to upgrade to the G37 Sedan. I don't agree with this because I personally want a G25 Sedan, but I would want the Bose sound system which requires prm. pkg right now.

I'm hoping they make some of the stuff in the premium pkg. standard in a G25 Journey. And I'm hearing a mid-august launch as of right now. Not positive though.
  • m6userm6user Member Posts: 3,181
Thanks for the info. I can't believe that there wouldn't at least be the Bose upgrade available in the Journey edition. Looks like no X model which I think is a big mistake as that model is very popular anywhere it snows. I actually would not get the sunroof anyway so that structure is a plus for me.

Can't believe they plan on launching next month and there is no official info out on it yet. When you say launch is that releasing info to the press like pics and specs or actually having it available for sale in dealerships???
  • djnephdjneph Member Posts: 16
I think it will be a mistake if they don't offer a 6MT, then again I don't do this for a living so maybe I just don't know squat! I though the point of offering a g25 was better mpg and lower price point to attract younger buyers. Many of these younger buyers would be interested in a manual.

Also, I thought a g25 was supposed to compete with an IS250/TSX and they both offer Nav and "high end" sound systems. It will be interesting to see what the car will be when itInifniti releases official specs.
  • m6userm6user Member Posts: 3,181
I believe that most automatic transmissions now days actually can achieve better mpg than a stick no matter how skilled one might be so it doesn't suprise me that no stick will be offered. I've never seen anything from Infiniti that said they were going after higher mpg, it's just been assumed by everyone that is part of the reason and I'm sure it does enter into the equation.

You're right about the competitors and what they offer though. I thought they would just bring the same car but with a smaller engine and price it a couple of thousand less. It looks like their strategy is "give them a taste of Infiniti and they'll pop for the G37 to get goodies next time. It's just a way to bring people onboard rather than going toe to toe with the ISs and TSXs of the world. That's just my opinion, I could be completely offbase.
  • infiniti427infiniti427 Member Posts: 33
I apologize... I forgot to mention an AWD model will be offered as well. Same way as I mentioned before... BASE, Journey, and Journey w/ moonroof. And I just like others will be disapointed if they don't have the bose sound system in the car. I really want an Infiniti again, as I had a 04 G35x Midnight Blue/Wheat Interior w/ Nav... I leased that car. Didn't get another one because I didn't work for Infiniti at the time as I was with a Ford dealer, and the salesman at Lokey Infiniti in clearwater didn't take me seriously and never followed up. So I ended up with an 08 TSX, which I really like, but the new body style is disgusting.

I'm hearing the G25 will be out in August, but I still remember how long it took for the G Convertible to come out. It was pushed back several times. I'm still thinking more like late fall, but Infiniti is always tight lipped on new releases. Look at the M37 for example. Wasn't until a few months before release of it did we have info.

No apologies necessary, it's just nice to get some decent information. Infiniti should know that a lot of people when they are going to drop 30 grand or so like to plan ahead a little bit. I'd like to see the G25X get around 20/27 mpg. Maybe since you said they are offering the sunroof as a seperate option either 1. they will package the Bose with that but just not call the premium pkg or 2. they make the Bose standard on the Journey or X model(sweet).

I cant figure out a way to PM you. I can leave you a comment on your profile page but only if we become friends on carspace forums, seems very complicated. Just email it to me if you dont mind, mek0915@yahoo.com. Thanks in advance, oh and do you know if thereis a tier 0 credit rate for lower MF?

    Carman, kyfdx or anyone else,

If you could please provide me the following information I would greatly appreciate it. Looking for the highest credit score tier money factor offered by infiniti for a 2010 G37 sedan Journey with Premium and Sport. If you could let me know if these money factors change if you add the navigation package too that would be much appreciate. Interested in 12k and 15k residuals. Interested in 36 or 39 month term. If there is another time frame that looks better than these to please let me know. Also I have seen some mention of Multiple Security Deposits with Infiniti, what is the money factor reduction per deposit and what is the max number? Thanks in advance for your help.
  • kaliforniakkaliforniak Member Posts: 51
    Thanks for the info!

It does seem a bit odd to me that all the competition offers a sport package or navigation package to their entry level model. The IS250, TSX, 328 and the C300 can all be equipped with the same options as their more expensive models. I will cross my fingers that the G25/moon roof will come with the premium package goodies.

    Thanks again!

From the Edmunds home page I tried to search for inventory within 500 miles for G37 Sport but there doesn't seem to be any way to limit the search to sport. I tried looking for G237 with sticker over 41k but still turned up nothing. Ideas?
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Yes there will be an AWD version - they usually run about $1500 more than RWD.
  • m6userm6user Member Posts: 3,181
Thanks much. I know we shouldn't be talking so much about an upcoming model on the G37 prices paid forum but no place else seems to have any mention of it at all. It is however a "G" and we are tallking prices so what the hey.

In the Kansas area and looked at a black on black G37x. Options are:

    Illuminated kick stands
    Nav Package
    Performance Tire and wheel package
    Premium Package

    MSRP is 41,765

Wanting to know what is the best price that this type of car will be worth. Willing to go the distance to save a few grand

Hey all, I would appreciate your thoughts, based on some recent posts this seems high...Just got this quote from a San Diego dealer, he claims it is a "copy of his invoice". I had already sent an introductory email and let him know I will be getting a car this week. I have not mentioned a lease yet. Seems high...do I just address that right away and say your price needs to be lower? Also is freight charge common? That seems wierd. Any other thoughts? Bear in mind this includes no cap reduction at this point...

You're on Edmunds website. Go to home page, new cars and look up the car you want with the options you want and it will show you invoice/msrp prices. It looks about right....they have about $3000 difference between invoice and msrp with common options.

Yes, freight is a normal part of the label on the window. Everyone pays it and all auto manufacturers charge for it. You can't get away from it. Just figure it in cost of the vehicle and negotiate from there.

Do you want to pay $1800 for what is essentially oil changes and tire rotations for 4 years?

I have my my G's oil changed at the dealer, cost $35-$45 depending what service rep and they check all of the required maintenance items. If I need a tire rotation I take it to Discount Tire and they do it for free since I'm a customer. If I need a new air filter I order them from Amazon for $12 each (takes 2) and put them in myself.

    All,

I have a 2005 G35 6sp Manual Coupe to sell, and was hoping you guys can help me find the right forum to post it in. Should I follow KBB for setting the pricing ? The reason I ask is that, I have seen dealers put a similar car (only difference being that mine is manual and theirs is automatic) up for sale at the Private Party price listed in kbb rather than the dealer price listed kbb.

    I am in Northern Virginia.

    Thanks for your help.

Oil changes are $77 here. I am coming out of a BMW with all included sercvice and 15,000 mile oil changes. If I went back to 3750 mile oil changes for 60,000 miles I would spend 1232, so I was hoping to make up the diffrence on the big services.

I leased this car yesterday, I am coming out of a 2007 G37x lease, expires 9/1/10, here are the details:

    New car
    G37Xs
    Premium Package P01
    Sport Package - AWD R01
    Illuminated Kick Plates - N92
Carpeted Trunk Mat, Net, First Aid Kit - L92
    Splash Guards - Sport B93

    MSRP $40,880
    Invoice $37,546
    TMV $37,962

My Purchase price $37,776 ($230 over invoice) - Dealer told me it was an invoice deal, but not the same as figures here on edmunds?

    Incentives: $1000 Lease loyaty bonus
Pull Ahead: Paid of my August lease payment ($450) but would have done up to 3.
$500 damage alotment for releasing (I have a crack in my windshied, est cost $186)

    Leasing Details:
Use the $1000 loyalty to cap cost reduction so cap cost was $36,776
Cash due at signing $1747.95 ($457.37 first month payment, $595 Bank fee, $41.65 tax on bank fee, $7.50 NJ tire tax, $6.00 NJ Car, $249 Doc fee, $17.43 tax on doc fee, $374 DMV)
39 month lease, 15k miles, MF .00126 Res. 57% for $457.37 monthly payment

Edmunds says there is a $1000 cash to dealer marketing incentive, but when I asked the dealer they said "oh, that was last month and it was $750", but then they cut the price from $500 over invoice to invoice so they must be getting something.

Hope this helps...this board is always usefull getting the inside scoop...special thanks to sewellgsm :)

    Hey SewellGSM,

I was on your website (will be buying in about 2 weeks) and noticed you had a bunch of cars listed as 2011 G37SD. Is this just a website "marker" for the upcoming 2011 or is this an actuall product line (ie. G37x)? Do you have any information you can share? I would be awesome if D stood for diesel :)

I emailed the sale manager of my local Infiniti dealership if he could run me a figure if I decided to trade in my 2008 EX35 awd Journey base. Seems like my EX35 JOURNEY BASE AWD trade in is around 26k-28k.

31K balance on Infiniti loan (includes 4 years Maintenance service). The G37X sedan base $36,975 (Actual car) http://www.infinitinorthshore.com/new-i ... atureid=-1

    VIN# JN1CV6AR8AM453892

My loan is a bit high due to a previous trade in from the Rav4 v6.

I`m paying around $620 on the current EX35 72 months , the sales manager just ran a figure and he`ll take me out of the EX35 and will get the G37X out the door for $620 (I emailed him for the loan term, but I assume it`s 72 months, not sure yet)

    Need help... Thanks! (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)

Is this offer good or crap?
  • sanjaysdcasanjaysdca Member Posts: 269
    Good for dealer
    Crap for you

He probably is rolling your upside down amount into G...the same way you/dealer did for RAV4.
Pay for your EX or atleast break even
Then in 620 you can lease/buy a whole lot better car.

You need to stop doing this kind of crap to yourself. Drive the still new 2008 EX35 until the loan is paid off, then trade it in with your equity if you want to. NEVER roll an upside down loan into another new car loan.

I'm in the market for a G37 and was wondering what a decent price would be on a G37 coupe w/sports, premium, and nav in the Boston area. I've emailed a few dealers and surprisingly gotten little to no response. It seems like they are all unwilling to negotiate through email. Does anyone have a contact or the name of someone, or any experience with this? Thanks in advance.

I'm on the search for the new 2011 G37 convertible and have yet to see any photos or reviews. I received a preorder quote for $49,750 for Base Conv. 3.7L auto, w/ Tech, Nav & Prem pack. That's only $3000 over the 2010 model with the same options. Any thoughts or comments? Is it too early to purchase this far in advance?

It will only be 1 yr old when driven off the lot instead of two years old. One year newer model is worth a couple of thou. The few changes and ownest the newest version of a car is worth some more. So it's not that far off the mark. It all depends how important having the newest is to a person and nobody else can or should make that decision for them.

    The Infiniti G Line
The Infiniti G Line is on a roll entering the 2011 model year. Following extensive enhancements for 2010, including refined exterior, interior and equipment refinements, sales continue to show strong growth. Through June, G Sedan calendar-year-to-date sales have increased more than 28%, while G Coupe sales are up more than 33% for the same period. Expect the momentum to continue as all three G models – Sedan, Coupe and Convertible – are refined once again for 2011.

    2011 Infiniti G Sedan
Enhancements to the popular Infiniti G Sedan for 2011 start with the introduction of new “Limited Edition” and “Sport Appearance” models with special content features. Other 2011 refinements include one new exterior color and standard Scratch Shield Paint on all models.

For 2011, the Infiniti G37 Sedan will again feature a 328-horsepower 3.7-liter “VVEL” V6 and choice of 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions, along with available sport brakes and 18-inch wheels. The G37 Sedan’s advanced engine combines with the second-generation FM (Front Mid-ship) platform – featuring a 4-wheel independent suspension with lightweight aluminum components – to provide responsive acceleration and agile handling. The G37x AWD adds Infiniti’s “intelligent” ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system.

All 2011 G models continue to offer a strikingly seductive exterior, defined by its sleek wave form hood, signature G-style taillights and raked A-pillars and athletic stance. Inside, the G Sedan provides a crafted, heritage-inspired interior environment and luxury features such as standard leather-appointed seating and an available audiophile-quality Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose.

Advanced technologies include standard Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition and available RearView Monitor; a touch screen Infiniti Navigation System with XM NavTraffic® real-time traffic information and 9.3GB Music Hard Drive (XM® subscription required, sold separately); and Intelligent Cruise Control with Preview Braking.

The 2011 Infiniti G Sedan goes on sale in September 2010.

    Changes for 2011 include:

    * New “Limited Edition” models with unique exterior and interior treatments, along with sport-tuned steering
    * New “Sport Appearance” models with sporty exterior features
    * Scratch Shield Paint standard on all models
    * One new exterior color: Malbec Black

    2011 Infiniti G37 Coupe
Following extensive enhancements last year, the Infiniti G Coupe enters the 2011 model year with redesigned front fascias for both Sport and non-Sport models (with fog lights moved from the headlights to the lower fascia area). Other enhancements for 2011 include the availability of the Sport Package on G37 Coupe AWD models; the addition of Navigation Package content as standard on G37 Coupe Sport 6MT; revised 18-inch and 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheel designs; the addition of Scratch Shield Paint as standard on all models; and two new exterior colors: Malbec Black and Lapis Blue.

The 2011 G Coupe will again be available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. The G Convertible includes extensive structural reinforcements, a wider rear track, modified rear suspension (versus the G37 Coupe), along with a special convertible-focused interior with available Bose® front seat Personal Speakers, wind deflector and climate-controlled front seats.

The inviting G Convertible interior includes standard leather-appointed seating, a special Bose® Open Air Sound System that dynamically changes equalization based on outside noise, vehicle speed, and top position, and an Adaptive Climate Control system that adjusts fan speed in accordance to top position and vehicle speed.

Here are the AVERAGE prices paid in Texas for G's in the month of July. As always, these are averages - so some folks paid more and others less. Some people bought loaded vehicles with accessories others bought base vehicles. Some had trade-ins and some did not.

G sedan: 61 @ $139 below invoice (due to the fact there is $1000 incentive)
    G coupe: 15 @ $274 over invoice ($1000 incentive too)
    G convertible: 6 @ $544 over invoice ($1000 incentive as well)

Good luck in your search! :D

    No change.

    G Sedan: $1000 AND special financing (0% for 36, 1.9% up to 66, 3.9% for 72)
    G Coupe: same as sedan
G Convertible: $1000 OR special financing (see above)

For those who have a lease: if your lease ends before 2/1/2011, you can turn it in early and waive up to 3 payments.

If you are in Texas and lease: IFS is giving sales tax credits on the G's.

    Hope this helps....

BTW - July was one of the best months Infiniti had for the G that is why they did not change the incentives. :)

No it is not a good deal. It looks like you just copy and pasted an advertised special, which can always be better when dealing with Infiniti. Infiniti ads will always have a large cap cost reduction to make the lease payment artificially low.

You never want to put $4000 down payment (cap cost reduction) on a lease! If you want to know why look at posts from the past month, its been posted ad infinitum.

If will take some time to read this forum or any leasing forum you will find that no one can tell whether a lease is a good deal without knowing the price of the car that the dealer is selling you. If you only negotiate the price of a lease payment you open yourself to getting into a bad deal.

    You need:

    Publicly Available Items
    MSRP
    Invoice Price
    Current Manufacturer Residual
    Current Manufacturer Lease Factor

    Items particular to your deal
Selling price, which should be around $1000 UNDER invoice this month
Lease factor dealer is quoting you (dealers can mark this up)
    Dealer doc fees
Local sales tax, and whether you pay up front or every month.
Out of pocket money up front which should never include a cap cost reduction.

Learn how to calculate a lease, you will be glad you did in the long run.

    Hello,
I'm looking to purchase a G37x coupe with the following options:

    Nav Package
    Premium Package
    Illuminated Kick Panels

I reside in Canada and i'm not sure if any of the cash incentives apply for me. I contacted a couple dealerships for pricing, the lowest price i received is $43,000+D&H. I have seen some of you purchasing a coupe for around $38,000, is this something achievable for me? or am i excluded from the incentives and should be planning to pay closer to $43,000?
