Here are the AVERAGE prices paid in Texas for G's in the month of July

Are those avg prices paid at all Infiniti dealerships in TX or in Sewell dealerships in Texas?
  • dat2dat2 Member Posts: 251
Hi sewellgsm, just curious if you have any numbers for how many 6MT's are sold, generally speaking. I am also curious if you have any comment about how over the last several years the 6MT has become more restrictive, in terms of having to order with premium and nav packs and not offering some other equipment available with the 7AT, for example. Is this on a path to eventually cancel the 6MT altogether?? :confuse:
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
These are just from the dealership I run (it is located in Texas). We sell more than anyone West of the Mississippi - so we are considered high volumn - obviously our prices are not considered "high" if we sell more than anyone else....I wish I had the numbers on everyone, but most places are "tight lipped" on that stuff... :)
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
We sell 11% of our coupes as 6MT and only 1% of our sedans! I don't think it will go away though....
  • dat2dat2 Member Posts: 251
Thanks, that's good to hear! Still a decent amount of 6MT coupes being built then!
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
But good luck finding a MT. I was thinking about leasing a Sport Coupe since you can save about $30 a month on a lease versus a Journey+Premium. According to all of the local dealer web sites, there are 26 coupes available in the Phoenix area. None of them are Sport models.

Hello. Looking for a G37 journey coupe with sport pkg in graphite. I know these are almost none existent...but there's a couple out here in the West coast...any out in the rest of the country? And obviously trying to save $$, so when the dealership wants to charge me for shipping it out here in SoCal, is that valid??

Hi King...are you indicating the pricing for this vehicle should be $1000 under invoice due to the Conquest bonus or due to the dealer incentive (as shown by TrueCar.com)?
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
I don't see a dealer incentive on truecar.com. There is $1000 conquest bonus for leasing, that is why I am saying $1000 under invoice. If there is a dealer incentive (dealer marketing cash) in the 2 years I have been following Infiniti incentives it has never been available on a lease or on the special finance rates.

There is a $1,000 dealer cash which be used for either purchase or leasing. I believe this is in addition to royalty bonus or conquest bonus in the case of leasing. SewellGSM can correct if not the case.

All right I see the dealer cash now. Even though the dates for the dealer cash say 7/1 to 9/30 I believe it was just recently posted on Edmunds. On my browser I had an incentives tab up from last Friday for the G's and there was no dealer cash.

It is interesting for the first time in the past two years that dealer cash specifically says: cash may be combined with 0.0% APR - 3.9 % APR. In the past it has always said may NOT be combined. When it said it could not be combined that also meant it could not be combined with a lease. Whether or not we can use it with a lease will have to be answered by someone in the know like SewellGSM. I do have the feeling it will be excluded, they don't usually allow double dipping discounts. Leases get loyalty/Conquest, purchases get dealer cash.

After further review: The dealer cash is gone again for me. I am wondering if it is regional (Nissan is doing regional cash right now) and my zip code it not eligible. I am trying zip code 85210. What zip codes are seeing the dealer cash?

I just checked Edmunds incentives(Chicago area zip code) and saw no $ to customers for a purchase. Did see $1000 conquest and $1000 loyalty cash to customer only for a lease. Didn't see any fine print where these two could not be combined. If you currently lease an Infiniti but also own another brand vehicle why shouldn't you get both? I know.....because that's they way it is. They should spell it out though in the fine print.
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
The Conquest Cash and Loyalty Bonus have never been combinable. The only fine print that matters, that on the Infiniti web site shows under the lease specials: $1,000 owner loyalty or conquest reward included in monthly payment.

The Conquest Cash and Loyalty Bonus have never been combinable.

That's why I said that's just the way it is. Doesn't mean they could never do it though. Don't lease so I don't check the Infiniti site for leasing criteria.

It would seem, however, that Infiniti could get additional sales if they would offer both and turn a one Infiniti household into a two Infiniti household. Probably not a large market but it could turn a G/Tahoe household into a G/QX household instead. Just a thougt.
  • jtlajtla Member Posts: 388
The Conquest Cash and Loyalty Bonus have never been combinable.

That is because they are mutually exclusive. Loyalty Bonus is for current Infiniti owner and Conquest Cash is for non-Infiniti owner. Everyone will definitely falls into one of the two categories, but not both. Basically, Infiniti is giving $1,000 off to any one who leases.

As to the dealer cash, it may be regional. I used So Cal zip code.

Now the dealer cash is back for my AZ zip code and other random zip codes I try.

I just sent an email to a local dealer to get the definitive answer on leases and the dealer cash.

According to a local dealer the $1000 dealer cash is not available with a lease if you take the conquest or loyalty cash. No double dipping, $1000 is the maximum discount.

    Hey guys,

I'm located in the California, bay area. Currently looking at a 2010 G37 Coupe
with Sport, Premium, and the rear lip spoiler at the back. Current offers are at $39.8K. Is this a good deal? Anyone know a really good dealership to recommend that is within a few hours drive? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
  • dat2dat2 Member Posts: 251
I had a pretty good experience with Beshoff in San Jose. If you are aggressive you can get a good deal. Shoot for invoice minus any available rebates and you should have yourself a good deal!
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
Invoice is around $40.2 so you should be shooting for $39.2.

Might be a silly question, but does the 2010 G37X Sedan come with a screen on the dash just with a Premium packager....I'm not interested in the Navigation package.

I just LOVE the look of the dash wih a screen.

    Thanks for your time.

New G25 officially announed today at Pebble Beach. $30850 base price. About $1k more than I thought it would come in. No MPG numbers announced but it's due in dealerships in September. 218hp is also a little less than I thought it would have. Hopefully, a little less weight, smaller engine will provide nice MPG.

I sure hope that Infiniti doesn't do what Lexus does. Decent lease rates for the IS250 and crappy rates for the IS350.

Don't know what to do :confuse: About to move to California and I am not sure If I should purchase a G37 now or wait until I get to California to either Lease or Buy. If you lease do you still have to pay the almost 3000 in taxes in California? Never leased so I dont know what will be a good deal. :lemon:

Doesn't matter. If you are leasing as soon as your address is changed to CA, Infiniti will add a 10% sales tax to your monthly payment. Its not a lump sum charge. If you are in NY, TX or IL (I think that is the list) where there are lump sum charges then wait.

Depending where you are moving from and to you might find more or less competition. More competition usually means better prices.

One benefit of waiting until CA is the state limit on doc fees at $55.

    I would wait because
    1) Sell Price of automobiles are generally less in CA. I would go to carsdirect.com and compare the price differential, if any, between the two locations. Tax you will anyway pay once you move...hence not a consideration.
    2) Lemon laws are state specific. Hopefully you dont have to use it...
    3) Cost of moving the vehicle?
    3) Hassle of dealing with DMV in CA for registering the car (Inspection, Smog, and Title at DMV). If you buy it in CA dealer take cares of Title

Today my LEASE deal was finalized and singed and I will be picking up my car soon...Yipee..

Here are the deails, as you see above...everything remained the same. As expected, its never straight forward in closing a deal. The business manager said, I did not get approved for the so called "TIER 0" (the need score above 740) so they put me in "Tier 1" (mine was 728). And then comes the big news, monthly payment goes up by $33/ month.

    New Monthly: $368 :confuse:

I thought about it and said, alright I'm ready to drop the idea of leasing and was ready to leave. The sweet question is dropped now " What can I do to earn your business today?"
    . BINGO!!!

I said $345 not even a penny more...blah blah (did not care about the MF at that point, knew I had already a great MF) 20 minutes later, they worked out something and offered me what I asked for.

Finally agreed on a monthly payment of $345.

    Details,
    2010 G37X Premium Package /Splash Guards/First Aid Kit/Trunk Mat/Trunk Cargo Net
    36 Months / 12,000 K
    MSRP: 39,440
Selling Price : 34,310 (Well below Invoice, conquest cash included)

    Nine MSD's of $350 each

    Acq Fee: $595
    Doc Fee : $399 $345 includes 6% Tax :D

    Drive off : 9 MSD's + First month + Acc Fee+Doc Fee+ Reg

Can you shed a little light on the sales tax credit for Texas? I'm in Dallas and was thinking of leasing. From what I understand here you have to pay tax on the full sales price of the car. Do dealers charge an additional fee to make up for the sales tax or is it a true credit? Thanks!

When IFS offers tax credits - they have a company called Lenders & Members (L & M) who calculate all the lease returns and handle all the paperwork with the Texas tax collectors. L & M charge a 1.25% fee to handle this for IFS.

So, you as a customer save 6.25% on sales tax but pay 1.25% L&M fee = you net a 5% savings! On a $40,000 vehicle that is $2000! It does not cost the dealership anything, but the dealership does not gain anything either.

The best time to lease a vehicle in Texas is when IFS offers tax credits! :)

    Hope this helps.

Sounds like you got a great deal. I was told over the phone that Infiniti doesn't allow MSDs to reduce MF...clearly not the case...how did you get them to accept it?

Also, do I understand that conquest cash went towards reducing your net cap? they are including it in my 'drive-off' now.

We are looing for a g37x premium with nav. There is only one infiniti dealer in the whole state of utah and they suck, to be frank. Any ideas how to lease outside the state?
    thanks in advance
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
Most Infiniti dealers will happily lease to out of state customers. They will give you a temporary tag to drive the car to your home state and you are responsible for going to your DMV/MVD to register the car.

I would look at the Infiniti dealer web sites for Denver, Las Vegas, or Phoenix, which ever one you feel like traveling to and submit information request. Here in Phoenix there are 4 Infiniti dealers, 3 of which are owned by the same company.
