The important thing is to figure out what selling price the lease is based on -- in other words, how much is the bank paying for the car. Don't be sold on the payment alone.
  • poorprofpoorprof Member Posts: 124
The IFS numbers for Oct are out and they are the same as Sept. The $2,500 incentive to dealer is still available, but not on leases.

I am interested in leasing an 06 G35 sedan (you cant get any deals on the Ms). The MF and RV are set. What can I expect for the cap cost of a G35 with Prem B, Nav, Sport package and Aero. The MSRP is $39,150. Invoice for the car is $35,728. TMV (Edmunds) is $35,020. Carsdirect quotes $33170, but that probably includes the insentive.

Realistically, what can I expect to pay as cap cost for the car? Are they leasing the G35 below invoice yet?

I purchased a 35 coupe in the DFW area last week: 6MT with NAV, rear steer, premium pack, and XM from the factory. Windows tinted, wheel locks, and tire pressure valve caps from the dealer.

MSRP was ~$40K + $400 dealer markup for tint
    Factory options invoice was ~$36800.
    I paid $37K even +TTL.

I don't know of any $2500 rebate from Infiniti on the coupe. The infiniti website, Consumer Reports, and other sites don't mention any cash incentives. However, there is 1.95 financing for up to 36 months which is pretty cheap money.

    lasailor,
Looks like you got a great deal. I am also looking for 6MT in SoCal. Please e-mail me who you dealt with. How many miles did you get?
  • akubikakubik Member Posts: 20
Just bought a sedan with the premium C package for $30200 at Hoehn in Carlsbad, CA. Mission ViejoInfiniti, just up the I5 is offering $6000 off of MSRP but I think they make you buy the Lo Jack system. They can't get rid of these things. Everyone has huge inventory and they are taking delivery of the 2007 G5s in early November.

When I bought my car last year in July, 2005 G35 6MT Athens Blue/Black leather/Areo pkg/Premium pkg, I paid 900 bucks over invoice. I do also work in the industry, so that might have helped. I have not seen that many Athens blue G's in the orlando area, maybe two. Love the color, and the car. I know it maybe a moot point now, but with the 2008 style changing that much, I would think that you would be able to get a good deal on a '06 or the '07's when they come out. :)

    Hi All,
I am getting a 04 G35 coupe 28,000 miles with Navigation and Aero Package for $25,000. Is it s good deal?
Some told me that Infinity are coming with New design for 07 and then the price will crash.. if thats the case should I wait for 1 more month?

    Thnaks for the help
  • akubikakubik Member Posts: 20
I don't know about your price, but run it through Kelly Blue book at KBB.com. The sedan is new for 2007, but the coupe will be new in 2008, which normally means it would be available in the spring of 2007, but for Infiniti it means it probably won't be out until 11/07. Prices don't "crash" just because a new model comes out, and new models come out every 4 years. If you are looking to save some money, I would wait until the release of the 2008 comes close, and then they will be clearing out the 2007s. I did that with a sedan and last week I picked it up for $6000 under MSRP.

So if you wait about a year, you could pick up a new coupe for close to the same price you are willing to pay for a used one. Remeber the 2004s had a brake problem too I believe, check the "problems" posts. As an alternative, you could buy new today, they are offering 1.95% financing for up to 36 months. You can get a 5% return on your money at Citibank's e-savings account, so you come out ahead of inflation at 3%. Good Luck.

    > 27600+TTL w/sunroof

Did that price include dealer fee (500-600)
and was the price better because you financed with them?

    Hello, all,

Thank you all for all the informative postings. I just got my new 2006 G35X (with Sunrool option), which I paid $29200 (including Destination) excluding TTL. Very positive experience in the dealership. I really like the car except the loud enginer noise during accelaration, which I was told was designed that way to have some sporty feel. Once in cruising speed, it is quite.

Hope this is helpful for other.

    cheers.

    $28000 => $30641.46 OTD

    Hello All,

Just purchased a 2006 G35 Premium package C for $5500 off MSRP. $30,300 was the price. I am ecstatic.

    I love this ride!

There was no haggling and they offered this price straight out. This was in South Bay Power Infiniti. Sales may be slow lately and they are really trying to clear out the 2006 inventory. Easiest deal I ever made.

Great deals on used as well. I almost bought used until they made the offer for the new.

I was looking and they had at least 10 of these cars there. I'm sure there are similar pressures all over to move the 2006 inventory. I would suggest taking a look around and find a great deal.

I was given an internet quote for this car (2006 G35X AWD) with the Premium C Package. They wanted 31,995. Does anyone feel this is the best I can expect on this car? It seems like a very good price but I thought if there are many cars left then I can push them down further. Any thoughts?
  • akubikakubik Member Posts: 20
Anything better than $6000 off of MSRP at this point would be a good price. Some dealerships are offering $6000 off of MSRP without negotiating, like Mission Viejo Infinti in CA. Keep in mind, the longer you wait, the less selection your are likely to have. But if you are not picky, you would probably do well by waiting until the 2007s are on the lot.
  • djettadjetta Member Posts: 22
I would try to do better than the price you were quoted. About a month ago I got my G35x with Premium C, Nav, Sirius, wood trim, splash guards and full size spare for $34K and no haggling. :shades: Good luck.
  • abraindrainerabraindrainer Member Posts: 312
Still considering a G35x. The best I could find was roughly $6k off MSRP + TTL in VA/MD/DC area for a unit with sunroof. Some dealers would only offer $4k off.

Do NOT waste your time on Infiniti of Chantilly: rude and nasty bunch of losers with absolutely no class. Given my experience just (electronically) chatting with salesperson & manager, I wager to say that this new dealership does not deserve too much business....
  • dilberticdilbertic Member Posts: 63
Wondering if anyone has gotten any prices on the 2007 G35x sadan? Like the new design :) I am in San Jose, CA..
  • abraindrainerabraindrainer Member Posts: 312
I have been told informally that MSRP is expected to be $1-2k more. G35 will certainly go for MSRP for a few weeks but I wager that it will quickly settle close to the '06 market pricing. Why? Besides interior improvements, G35 remains largely unchanged: similar exterior, HP/Engine, tranny, etc. For example, it is not pulling any more Gs on the skid pad and all the reviews state that is more evolutionary. Similarly, the new engine puts out 306 hp whereas '06 manuals were putting out 298 hp...

The question is: do you want a somewhat dated interior for about $7k less?

    This is in Scottsdale AZ.

    G35/coupe Diamond Graphite.

    - Premium Package
    - Sport Tuned Suspension Package
    - Aero Package
    - Siruis Sat.
    - Trunk Mat and Splash Guards

MSRP: $39640 plus Crap charges of automate and dealer tint which adds another $1200. Total price $40888.00

    MSRP $40888
    Selling price $35386
    Residule price $31433

$2000 Total down includes all fees Tags and first month. $360/month out the door for 12 months 12K year.

    hope that helps

I had a very good experience with the internet sales manager. I worked out a deal over the phone and email. I showed up at the store, picked out my car and we settled for a deal slightly lower than what we talked about over the phone. Plus they have what they call the 500 club which includes free oil changes for life, loaner car, all services up to and including 36k. They gave me the best price on an 06 coupe in July.
  • abraindrainerabraindrainer Member Posts: 312
I started out by walk in for a test drive: big mistake! Ups there at treated like dumb $hit$.

I also tried their internet guy who gave me $4k off (but forgot to mention their "mandatory" $300 processing fee) but he was polite and told me that he could work something if I came into the dealership. That was not going to fly at his prices levels. After that, he quickly faded into thin air.

MD dealerships are offering $5.8k off after all the fees! They are also more polite... There must be too many suckers in VA!? For $2k I would be happy to take my business across the river to MD!

    I hope this isn't a stupid question:

Infiniti has a lease for about 375 per month with 2375 down payment. they also offer dealer cash of 2000. can I assume that this 2000 is credited toward the lease and just put 375 (first month's payment) toward the car +TTL and drive off with a new Infiniti? Or does this 2000 only apply to a purchase, or does the dealer have the discretion to use the 2000 toward the lease? OK, three stupid questions. ;)
  • murrowmurrow Member Posts: 72
    purchases only
  • poorprofpoorprof Member Posts: 124
As MURROW pointed out, the $2000 (actually $2,500) is for purchases only and does not count toward a lease. However, there are MUCH better deals available than the one you have pointed out. In the LEASE QUESTIONS board, you can find a number of them including a 36 month lease for a prem, Nav, SPort package for $349 with a $600 cap reduction.
  • klpeelklpeel Member Posts: 46
My guess is that it will take more than a few weeks for prices to start dropping below MSRP.

Also, while I haven't had a chance to drive one yet, real engine output is supposed to be considerably more than an 8 hp increase. There are new hp measurement standards for '07. Also, if one is comparing G35x to G35x, the 298 hp was only available on the sport version in '06, so the real power advantage should be even greater. Others may know the details better.
  • poorprofpoorprof Member Posts: 124
Prices have really dropped ($500 below invoice), but its hard to find the exact car you want. I have a deal for $350 a month with a 600 cap reduc on a $38,800 (8 sec deps) on a $38,800 G35, but they haven't found the right color combo for me yet.

The 07 is really nice. You hardly need the more HP. The 06 flies already. But the equipment on the car and the new look is special.
  • gary_williamgary_william Member Posts: 52
I have seen you write a similar message in the leases board, but I do not know what an "8 sec deps" is. Can you clarify this for me?
  • topgun7topgun7 Member Posts: 412
8 sec deps means 8 security deposit. Some car company like Infirite and Lexus allow you to put multiple deposit (and you get all the deposit back at the end of the lease) toward the lease (if your lease is 360/month, each deposit is roughly 360) and they will reduce the money factor by 0.0001 for each deposit. With the current money factor for sedan and 1 year lease for coupe, you can put enough security deposit to effective make the money factor zero.
  • abraindrainerabraindrainer Member Posts: 312
You are correct that it may actually be more than 8 hp difference because there is a difference in measurement standards. Obviously it is would also be more noticeable if the autos actually put out 306 hp. We have only heard that sport with 5 speed manual is expected to put out that much power...

Personally, I was disappointed not to see a G37 putting out into the the mid 300 hp range... btw Nissan has already trademarked that name so it is definitely coming... maybe in '08 coupe... Like many, I wanted a more radical improvement in power and/or handling but neither one came

It will be interesting to see if 335i, IS350 and GS350 will knock some wind (profits) out of the new G35, the power is basically identical. There is a lot more completion in 6 sec (0-60) sedans now and G35 is no longer the value it used to be... IMHO. Even Legacy GT and the Mazdaspeed6 can compete on acceleration and even handling. Do not get me wrong, G35 will sell... just not for long and/or not at the higher MSRP.
  • biker4biker4 Member Posts: 746
If there's enough volume of cars I wouldn't be surprised to see some deals around the holidays - a normally slow period for luxury makers. Regardless of price I'd wait a few months just to see if any bugs materialize in the first MY of a major redesign.

The 07 G35 may end up like the 06 3 series sedan (325,330) - single MY drivetrain. With all the competition the G37 may come out real soon.
  • guestguest Member Posts: 770
I don't know. Right now, you can buy for $2500 under invoice and lease for $500 under invoice. The 24 month lease is interest free and the 36 month lease with 8 security deposits will be interest free. I don't know how much more of a deal to expect when the supplies are already running on the thin side.

I saw an 07 at the dealers and they are more advanced with the technology. They will be quite popular.

Looking to purchase a '06 G35 awd in Nov or Dec. I'm aware that there's a cash to dealer of $2500 only until the end of Oct. Question: Can I get this car w/options Packge C & wood trim for $31,000??? I reside in NJ. Thanks in advance.
  • biker4biker4 Member Posts: 746
The price at this point might be meaningless - availability might be the problem. The last of the 06s will be gone real soon. If you can find one and want it, make the deal this weekend - the dealers will be really motivated.
  • poorprofpoorprof Member Posts: 124
The dealer I talked to in Los Angeles will sell you the car with Prem C and Wood trim for $31,500. There are not too many of these cars left, especially if you want a specific package and color. I dont see how they will still be available in Dec.

Dealer told me 2006 G35 x AWD with HomeLink for $29,995 where MSRP $35,000. Is this a good deal? I didn't have more information at this time. But I assume HomeLink only comes with Premium Package?
  • jryan2003jryan2003 Member Posts: 9
Dealer by me has a few cars left(NY area). What I have been quoted, just in emails with internet manager is

    Base G35x - 28,950 - 2 cars
    W/roof - 29,950 - 4 cars
    w/premium - 32,100 - 6 cars

Any one have any thoughts on how much better I can do, I figure a couple of hundred at best off those numbers. I plan on heading to the dealer on Sat afternoon.
  • guchguch Member Posts: 12
I was given this offer on G35X with sunroof
39Months/15k per year $3000 down including all fees, $385 per month including tax
24Months/15K per year $3000 down, $388 per month

    is it a good price?
  • joey65joey65 Member Posts: 9
Thank you all for the responses. I may be buying one within the next 7 days. So far i've gotten a quote for G35x/Pkg C/wood trim @ 31,800 exc. tax & plates. Tax is a fix number, how about plates...wonder how much that would be for NY plates.

Not sure if i can do any better. The other question is should I lease instead?...trying to keep my monthly payments low.
Just wondering. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

    Tks!

Will incentives increase in November? Plenty of stock in Southeast. I planned to buy in November as 2007 arrive. Dealer is pressuring me to buy in October as "incentives may disappear." Current offer is "invoice" - the $2,500, plus normal junk fees and taxes. Thank you.
  • poorprofpoorprof Member Posts: 124
baga: You can get that now. I was offered ANY G35 on the lot for $2,500 below invoice to buy or $500 below invoice to lease.

A guy told me at the Infinity here in Chantilly Va that they are only doing MSRP on 07's. But then I received an email from another dealer that said he would take 5k off any GS35 on the lot. Not sure if he was talking 07's or not.
  • fenwahfenwah Member Posts: 58
Strictly all email communication with dealership in SW Ohio...

MSRP was $38,000 even (incl dest).
It was offered to me for $31,952 (about $2811 below invoice) + TTL.

What's your opinion on this deal? Think there is a bit more room to bump it down? They have 17 2006 G35s (about seven are G35x's).

    - Painted Splash Guards
    Includes 4-piece, body-colored splash guards.

    - Premium Package C
Includes Bose AM/FM stereo, radio data system, 6-disc CD changer, MP3 playback, 7 speakers, power tilt/slide glass sunroof with one-touch open/close and pinch protection, Bluetooth Hands-Free phone system, manually reclining rear seatbacks with adjustable outboard head restraints, auto on/off headlights, dual zone climate control, carbon interior air filter, HomeLink universal remote transceiver, electrochromic rearview mirror, power windows with one-touch auto-down/up and safety reverse, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, auto entry/exit system, Intelligent Key (keyless entry), rear air conditioning vents and full size spare.

    - Sirius Satellite Radio
Includes satellite radio hardware, activation fee, first 3-months of service and Sirius satellite radio. Not available in Alaska, Hawaii and Guam.

    - Trunk Mat W/Full-Size Spare Tire
  • akubikakubik Member Posts: 20
$6000 off of MSRP seems to be the "unwritten" policy for 06 G35s at this point. So your offer seems in line with that. You can try to do a little better but maybe only a few hundred bucks. If you like it, buy it!

When the 07s hit the lot and people see them going for MSRP, the dealers will probably have no problem clearing out the extremely similar 06s at almost an $8000 difference. So the longer you wait, the less choice you are likely to have. What's a couple hundred bucks anyway? Just make your own dinner a couple extra times next week and you'll be even.
  • codguycodguy Member Posts: 2
Just bought a G35X in Maryland (half-way between DC and Baltimore) that had an MSRP of $37,950. It included XM radio (first 3 months service are free), splash guards, premium package C (which includes the full-size spare tire), full-size trunk mat (an $80 value!). Got them to waive the $650 destination charge and all fees. Paid $31,000 plus tax, title and license (another $1745 that goes to the state of Maryland). Did all of my bargaining on-line via email with numerous area dealers' Internet Sales Departments.

The dealer that I mentioned earlier was JBA Infiniti in Ellicott City, MD. I highly recommend them.
