You can get MDX with Tech package at $1000 below invoice and including destination charge. You can get it for lower price if you can negotiate harder. This is the price in San Francisco bay area.
mdxtimesthre, the 45k is the buy price without tax & license. Fortunately, my state does not have a sales tax. Most of the inventory appears to be based on having the Tech pkg with a 1/3 of them with the Entertainment pkg as well. The supply of Sport and/or Sport/Ent model ranged from 3-4 in inventory. My vehicle will be coming in a future allocation. I do not need it until late spring.
Are you sure it is 1000 below invoice? Or it is 1000 ABOVE invoice? I use Costco service and the price is more than 1000 above invoice at Steven Creek dealer.
Just got a quote on a '08 acura MDX (Sport/Ent package) but was told by the dealer that i would have to wait about 2 months for the wood grain steering option. does anyone know if there is actually a recall and what was the reason for the recall ?
There was something about the 08s steering wheel being different or something. I know early in the model year, they would not sell WSW for the 08s. AFAIK, this has been resolved as i have seen 08s with wood steering wheels. I would take delivery of the vehicle and have them install the steering wheel when it comes in if you don't want to wait. Or maybe this is just dealer BS since they possibly can't/don't want to get a hold of a Sport/Ent in order to sell you something else they have in stock??
Yes, It's 1000 below invoice. First quote I got was 40,002 and you can negotiate atleaset couple of hundres more.I belive every one has 2.9% APR on MDX. This for Tech package only and I believe you have to pay at or above invoice for Tech with entertainment as they are in demand.
kkumar1, what was your source for the invoice price of $40,752 for the 2008 Tech package? The invoice price I'm seeing online is $39.688, against MSRP of $43,695. Does your invoice price include destination?
Yes, It includes destination charge. That was the quote given by sales rep and I did not verify. MSRP he quoted was $44,410. I am not sure if mdx delar has any dealer options
I have invoice pricing for a base MDX from a dealer in the DFW area. Also, for body side molding and running boards, I have been quoted 299 and 658 which includes installation. Has anyone gotten a better deal in DFW with below invoice pricing and accessories for list price without installation?
I picked up a 2008 MDX Sport/ENT last night night in So Cal. Very hard to find around here. Some dealers won't discount these. It came in yesterday. Silver w/ Ebony. They gave me $ 4,000 off msrp, and the Acura 2.9% Financing.
Just bought MDX last night. I think i got a good deal unless the gurus here seem to disagree. I paid 42500 (Including Destination + Processing fee) + TTL = 44300 OTD. Got 2.9% for 3 yrs.
This purchase was made in Virginia (3% tax). Let me know what you all think.
Anyone here dealt with Springfield Acura of NJ, if so what would you say of there pricing/reputation ?
I was told some bad things about their honesty by a co-worker of mine but this was an issue that happened over 2 years ago (they assured me that they changed management and strive to be honest) so i wanted to see how they will treat me now.
I was quoted $44,800 on a Sport/Ent '08 and i am not sure if that is the best deal i can get on that package.

P.s. I decided to use handa-accessories.com to get my accessories at a better price (when i can afford to do so), though i am not sure where i can get the parts installed after anyone else doing this ?
I bought one Thursday: Tech+Ent for invoice price (42938) + doc fee (598: this is $100 more than a few dealers here) + ttl... this in Atlanta... from Jackson Acura.. the sales person (Chaige) was reasonable as well.. if u do the reserach and go prepared you can get a good deal.. with economy dwindling in a month or so u may get some deals below invoice also..
After submitting price quotes, I received price quotes from Vandergriff and MacChurchill at 37529. Mc David ws 38500 and Goodson was 38000.
I decided to visit the MacChurchill dealership. The internet sales manager told the salesman that I was quoted at invoice pricing. The salesman added a destination charge of 725 to the price quoted 37529. Well, if I was getting invoice pricing it should have been 37229 with a destination of 715 included (not 725). Secondly, all of the vehicles had VIN etching and window tinting. I was not interested in either of these options. After a hard sale from the salesman and the sales manager, I left the dealership and crossed MacChurchill off my list. So, before you waste your time on a visit to any dealership as I did, found out if the price quoted includes the destination charge and inquire about dealer add-ons for vehicles on the lot.
the 44800 is before TTL and a $250 doc fee there was also a $370 fee but i forget what that was for. This price did not include the destination fee. So now that i am thinking about it, this deal does not seem like much of a good price. I have a few other dealers to try so i will see if i can get better.
You can do way better than that.I think you can easily take of 4500 of MSRP (Including destination). Ateast dealers here will be very willing to do that on Sport/Tech. The way i did was very very simple.Went to the dealership and they fortunately have what i wanted.I came out of the dealership without showing any interest on the vehicle.Gave the guy a call next day and told my magic number which was 42400 (including dest. + Proc fee). After that all haggling was thru emails. After we agreed on the price just went to the dealership and was in/out in 1 hr. Let me know if i can help.
This is a legitimate question (especially for this forum), and i am also curious about the invoice price for the Sports/Ent package on the '08 MDX. Anyone care to give us a straight answer on this question ?
Still hoping that someone will answer your question since i would like to know also.
Considering the number of dealers that use this forum (pretending not to be dealers) i wonder if i can trust the invoice price i get back as opposed to an official invoice from edmunds.
There are a few in my area. What kind of deal can I get these? Or should I go for the '08? It sound that many of you feel the sport pkg is worth the extra cash. Also, what does the '07 Aberdeen green look like in person. I've only seen it on the internet.
Base $40,195 $36,514 Tech Package $43,695 $39,688 Sport Package $45,795 $41,592 Tech Package w/ Rear DVD System $45,895 $41,683 Sport Package w/ Rear DVD System $47,995 $43,587
Kumar, you are dead wrong here. For the tech pkg : MSRP + dest = $43,695 + 715 = $44410 Invoice + dest = $39,495 + 715 = $40200
I was offered a internet quote from Stevens for $40002 + TTL. and maybe, maybe you can get couple of hundreds more. That still doesnt make it $1000 below invoice by any means. I offered them a price of $39900 and they said I dont need to even bother them again.
Since Acura sales has been plummeting in the last few months and the future acura owners seem to be waiting for the new 09 models (tsx and tl) starting in April. My speculation would be that Feb/March would be a better time to get MDX. What do you think?
I belive invoice +destination is $40403 ($39688 + $715). I do not know if dealer has installed anything extra. I did not verify and I did not follow up as I inclined towards TL
$40,002 was offered in email so I believe you would get the MDX for atleast $40,000. Again the offer was at the year end and I believe when you sit down for negotiation you have better chance of getting discount. Ultimately I bought TL with Navi ($30,800+TTL) from the same dealer.
It doesn't take a genius to know that as the sales year progresses, prices go down, not up. The longer into the sales year, particularly in this economic environment, the lower you will pay. Whether we see pricing much below current pricing will depend, in my opinion, on incentives from Acura.
All you have to do is to review posts from last year. By mid-year there were more buyers who were able to buy below invoice compared to beginning of the year. Also, Acura offered more incentives in mid to second half than in the beginning.
Hi guys and gals, I've been reading the post here and therefore it's allowed me to negotiate like a pro I'm in the market for the 08 touareg V6 with tech package(navi, cam, aux port, etc..) or 08 MDX Tech package. I've been dealing with 5 SoCal dealers. Which has lead me to my current quote of...
08 Touareg 2 v6 tech package: MSRP-$43,350 CAPCOST-39,350(Includes destination fee,and all drive off fees except DMV)
Monthly payment tax included- 12kmi- $543 at 15kmi-$561
Now my only gripe is the lack of bi-xenon headlamps. Which are included in the lux package. I will call them today and mention it as a deal breaker if he cant work that into this current quote without much changing. Simply because I have another deal in the works for a MDX with tech package. Heres the deal on that one:
I found Jackson, Nalley and Acura Carland (all Altanta area dealers) to all be much more competitive than Jerry Damson in Huntsville and King Acura in Birmingham. It is certainly their right to sale cars at any price they want, but my money (actually, $3,000 and some change less of it between sale price and trade allowance) went across the state line to Georgia.
I knew about the higher prices in AL and I was willing to negotiate. I want to support local businesses if it's few hundred dollar difference. It's bad to promise invoice and then try to sell at MSRP. Then insult a customer for not buying? BTW, If you bought used 2007 MDX Tech from Damson last week, you got ripped off. The salesman said the car was "messed up" and he was laughing about the sale price of $37~K. Weird guy.
I cannot post the offer details from Jackson Acura until this weekend. Let's just say it's $400 above invoice and 18% off for accessories. We'll see what I can get at the end of the negotiation. With economy heading towards recession, I am in no hurry.
I have both. A 2006 V10 Touareg and a 2008 MDX Sport/Ent. Just got the MDX for the wife Friday. Love the Bluetooth that the 2008 Touareg does not have. Also the Navigation in the MDX is very easy to use. The MDX handles a little better than the Touareg with the Air Suspension which I have. But for a solid feeling the Touareg wins hands down. Also Acura service will be much better than VW.
