Does anyone know differences between 2007 and 2008 MDXs? I know about dimming rear view mirror, compass, info display color (orange vs blue), navigation voice. Sons Acura seems to have tons of 2007 MDXs.
I posted my deal back around the first of the month if you want to look for it. I did have a trade (which I think I included in the post), so take that into account.
Anybody who has info on what kind of deals/price you folks in southern California had lately? If it is a good deal, can you pls give dealer name. Also, is tech pkg worth it - $3,500 more
I'm also looking to pick up this car from Stevens Creek... would you mind shooting me the details of your purchase. How did you go about getting them to give 1K under invoice? Wondering the best strategy.Thanks.
Stevens Creek recently quoted me $40K for the Tech package and $43.7K out the door pricing. Did your purchase include any extras (roof rack, cargo tray etc...)? I'm trying to get them to include the roof rack and cargo tray but they're not willing to do that (yet).
Would also be interested in the details of your purchase - thanks.
Also, look at the Car and Driver May 2007 article on their comparison of these $50k suvs. It might help you decide.
Thanks.
Anyone have a good dealership to suggest? Or should I be looking elsewhere?
TexasEric
I am looking for a base MDX in the DFW area and have not gotten prices anywhere near the ones you quoted here. What dealership did you do the best at??
TexasEric
Anyone in the Chicago area got better quotes
Thanks
The base it tech enough. You can customize the interior light, how long it says one, how often to reset you tripometer, you XM stations, your treble, base, sub, center speakers, fader and balance, mirrors, and seat to each key. It would be great if the back-up camera were standard, but I think you have to shell out for the DVD system to get that. They kind of get yo that way.
Acura of Riverside was willing to sell me a new 2007 base for $35,112, but I couldn't sell my Jeep in time and missed out. I don't think there are any new 07s left out there.
I shopped a couple of the Northern VA dealers via e-mail, and ended up with this price pretty quickly.
Black on Taupe.

I'm trying to buy an Acura MDX 2008 Base Model Black Exterior / Parchment Interior ( no accesories ). I live in Miami and I have been trying to get
36,500 plus TTL, so far no dealer has been willing to go for it,if anyone out there has bought recently a Base Model in Miami area or South Florida area , please post your thoughts or experiences, thanks in advance, Cubalibre73
If you're looking for a 2008 MDX in Atlanta, go to Carland especially if you are out of State. Carland does not charge $600 document fees.
Easy to negotiate, but most importantly, I felt like internet sales manager was very honest and informative. Plus best pricing! You can negotiate 1~200 dollars off from internet quotes. Look for the internet sales manager, not a salesman.
Car prices are usually few hundred dollars lower at the end of the month. So if you are thinking about purchasing buy this week or end of February.
I am grilling up a deal in Jackson Acura but we are going back and forth about accessories price. It's a headache, but I might get a deal few dollars lower than Carland. But if this doesn't work out, I'm calling Carland right away.
Thanks
Matt
Have you been able to get dealers to budge on the accessories?
I found an interest rate 5% for 70 months. If you have US Navy/Marine corp connections youcan get this also.
You may be talking about either "www.hondaacuraworld.com" or "www.handa-accessories.com". Those two site have the best prices I have found.
Once again, people in Alabama, buy Acura in Atlanta (carland, jackson or nalley, all, same price eventually, not initially). I saved $3000.
I am in the market for a 2008 MDX Tech w/DVD. Just curious what kind a deals folks are seeing in Northern/Southern California? As per MSN Autos (Edmunds does not have the invoice prices) the Invoice prices are:
Invoice MSRP
Base Price $41,683 $45,895
Destination Charge $715 $715
Total* $42,398 $46,610
Ofcourse no DIO (dealer installed options) like wheel locks, side moldings, AW Mats etc are included
Will appreciate any help in this matter.
I am ready to go down to So. Cal to get the car if the price is right. I live in Nor. Cal (SFO bay Area)
I helped a friend pick up a MDX Tech 08 - actually they are picking it up Today (had to order it before the Holiday's). Unfortunately they live in a town that has only 1 Acura dealer - and next closest is 6+ hours away. They got the Tech for 1K over Invoice and paid retail for accessories (mats, sport running boards, side moldings) but free installation. I'll post the exact numbers when they arrive.
I worked with Omar at Pohanka Acura. Shoot me an e-mail at jhouchens@trioh.com and I'll provide you his e-mail. I worked a price between them and Radley, and Pohanka has been great to work with. It only took a copule of e-mails and I 'think' I got a pretty fair deal.

Hopefully, you can benefit from my experience and get a better deal. If you want accessories make sure you include them in your offer. Try starting at list price or lower before including any additional money in your offer; I failed to do this. Also, I failed to read the fine print on the retail order. There was a charge of 65.99 labelled Dealer Inventory Tax. According to the fine print, this is a tax for the dealer and not for the consumer. So, look out for this and decline to pay it.
Also, if you make a deal with other dealers, make sure you know the cost of the documentation fee. McDavid charges $55. I have seen posts that indicate the cost from other local dealers is $150. This is another way the dealers add to the cost on the back end.
The internet Sales manager says -
Invoice is 40602
NW package - 400
His profit - ~900$
(I have seen a post from one of the user that he got a quote from california dealer for the above MDX for 39752$ including destination..is any one offering that price around Seattle/Portland)
Could you please share what is the best rate that you got around this area?
Thanks!
