My financing was done thru American Honda Finance with the special rate you mentioned above. Not sure if they resumed the promotion recently or not. I would suggest you check with the dealer or American Honda Finance. Good luck!
I would offer the dealer $3500 under invoice. The dealers just got another $500 back from the factory last Friday which brings the total dealer incentive to $3000 cash back. As for demo's, the dealer owns the car for exactley the same as a new one maybe even more (they may have put additional equipment on which has a cost involved) so the extra $500 would be a loss for them however they would consider it to "move" distressed merchandise. I would also suggest taking wahtever the best deal the dealer gives you for the demo and aclling other dealers to see if they'll match that price for a brand new one with no miles. There is something to be said for being the first person to drive the car . . .good luck.
I made the purchase Sept. 1 and picked up the car the next day (Saturday). Name of the dealer: Piazza Acura of Ardmore (PA). You should be able to find its info by doing a quick search.
Does your 31.6 K includes anything extra (like side step rail, wheel locks, side molding etc) or base 2006 MDX premium model? Based on your OTD price it appears you got the car for just 30K before tax, title and tag. Which is probably the best deal. Could you please elaborate. Thanks.
There is only one Acura dealership in my STATE! They were not willing to go under MSRP, especially if I wanted it at the end of the month. I did get some misc fees(doc fees, etc) waived which came to about $250 dollars. But that's it. I'm going to talk to them about the lack of the auto dimming rear view mirror...I'm hoping I can get them to throw it in...but I'm not holding my breath.
So my price currently is $50,000(3% state tax) out the door -->Nimbus Grey, Sport, Ent.
a dealer in Eugene, OR told me that he is hearing that most dealerships are adding additional dealer markup on the MDX anywhere from $2,000 - $5,000. is this real? he offered me a No Hassle Internet/Costco Price of $34,319 for a 2006 Sage Brush Pearl with quartz interior MDX base model (MSRP: 37795), based on my reseach, his offer is about $4000 above everyone else is paying, what should i do?
I talked to the dealer today in Augusta, GA. The car had tech package plus entertainment package. The MSRP was 46,300.0 The other dealers add on was cargo net, wheel lock, cargo tray plus some scratch resistant paint finish. The total price came to be 48,500. I told him that I don't want the dealers add on and pay $2500.00 more he was willing to let me have the car at 46,300. which was MSRP from factory. i still feel that I can bring him down another $1 to 2k. Pl; let me know if you negotiate a better deal.
I briefly met with the sales manager at Sterling McCall Acura in Houston. He said we would sit down and work on the price from the MSRP. I already purchased a 2005 MDX from them. I think a couple of thousand off the new 2007 MDX would be pretty good since these are so new. I am getting the sport with ent which is $48,400 sticker. I am hoping to get to $46,000 but I am adding sidesteps, rear parking sensors and maybe luggage rack. I will post everything when I buy so if anyone else has purchased a 2007, please let everyone know what you paid.
I have not bought or even considered buying a car since late 2003. At that time I did all my shopping by email (some phone). That is, I sent an email outlining exactly what I wanted and asked "how much out the door from your dealership?" Several dealers were very responsive and after some back and forth between a few I settled on a deal. Some phone work involved too. My question: Are dealers still working that way now? Any advice? Thank you. I am considering a 2007 MDX.
I am trying to buy an 06 MDX with Touring, DVD and Navigation in the San Francisco Bay Area. anyone with recent pricing? and which dealer seems to be offering good deals. Thanks.
I just ordered mine, at Scholfield Acura, Wichita KAnsas. $1000 below MSRP for the MDX 2007 with sports package. Haven;t gotten it yet, but they were very nice. Should have it in Mid Nov.
I shopped the internet for the most competitive pricing on a 06 MDX with touring, entertainment and navigation for almost 6 months now. I asked for a quote from 7 dealerships in the San Francisco Bay Area on last Friday. The manager at the Marin Acura got back to me immediately not only with the best pricing but also the most responsive service. We agreed on a price prior to going to the dealership with my whole family. We briefly looked at the vehicle and immediately worked on the papers, while my kids were playing in their children’s area and eating their free candies. Then we got a decent loan, and before long, we drove the car out of the parking lot.
I do not usually write reviews on the internet but because the whole buying experience was so seamless and pleasant, especially compared to another dealer in the Bay Are who insisted that we come in to ‘negotiate’, I feel compelled to write a note here. The folks at the Marine Acura are just awesome - Best pricing in the 100-mile radius in the SF Bay Area and best services.
Can you help post what is the best price obtained and if you don't mind dealer. Am looking for one. After looking at the bottom line posts something like 33600 was the best obtained for this model. Is this possible to equal or better in Boston.
This was at $1000 under MSRP. It made it easy to seal the deal on an 06' R500 loaded $62k MSRP for $599/month, tax in/ 1600 drive off. I'll wait 27 months for the MDX. I was shocked at the difficulty dealing for an Acura. I never pay more than $2000 k over invoice for my MB's even when they are new body style.
The car saleman 1st offer was $31995. After negociated, their "final" price is $31495+TTL. There 're only couple of Base models and couple of Touring models left in parking lot. Should I ask for more? So far, I just requested the very bottom line price from them only. Thanks.
that's a good price . . I paid $32,700 but I had the side steps, rear spoiler, roof rack and body side molding. Again, most dealers will not be budging on 07' MDX's. The 06', for the price is a steal. don't forget, once there gone, there gone, so act soon.
I just bought a 2006 MDX Touring with navigation in silver/quartz color for $35,800 + tax & lic at Kearny Mesa Acura in San Diego, CA. The car also had all weather mats, mud flaps, trunk tray, and wheel locks. I couldn't find the car in N. CA where I live but found exactly what I wanted in San Diego.
Best buying experience ever. I had requested a quote by email and received a reply the same day. I made a counter offer a few days later based on information on prices from this forum. My offer was accepted right away with no hassle from the dealer. I wanted that color combination so I made an offer that I felt should work. May be I could have got it for a little less but silver/quartz vehicles are all but gone now.
I dealt with the internet sales manager all the way. It just took a few emails and a couple of telephone calls to make the arrangements. No surprises, everything was as the internet salesman said it would be. I picked up the car after about an hour and half to test drive, fill out the paperwork, and have the car cleaned.

These prices are a steal! I bought my '04 MDX Touring in Nov. '03 for $39K+! And I'll probably get soaked again when my '07 comes in mid november. The '04 is the best vehicle I have owned. 40K trouble-free miles (knock on wood).
I think the price varies with location. I have seen some prices on here with nav for $35,600 to $38 something. I live in the chicago area and I tried some of the price quotes I have seen and depending on how much inventory the dealer has, not much with nav., I guess is how they calculate their price. supply is getting low and the new mdx has not a lot of give in the price. my prices I got were anything from demo 35,500 to new $36,500 to 38,900 . yours seems a good price to me but I think you need to look at the posts from people who live in your surrounding area. I told one salesman that I have seen $35,500 on new with nav. he asked me to show him the quote and that he didn t think it was in this area but if I wanted to go to another state to save between $600 and $1000 that would be up to me to determine if it was worth the trip. Good luck. I bought the demo at $35,500 with almost 4000miles with nav. side rails all weather mats wheel locks side molding. I am hoping it was a good deal and I am sure after you buy someone will tell you that you could have saved a few hundred dollars more but I checked all around and almost $9000 off sticker I think was a pretty good deal. It was my second choice color but once I get on the road with a million other people who think that their car is the special one on the road I guess it doesn t matter. I could have gotten first choice at other dealer for around $900 more but didn t think it was that big a deal and 2nd choice was ok with me and the inside was the same and that is where I will be is on the inside. Good luck and let us all know.
I have got an offer from a dealer in SF bay area for $36600 for a 2006 MDX with Navigation+DVD and wheel locks (accessories). So far this is the best offer I have got from dealers here. Looks good to me from reading few previous msgs on this forum. Would appreciate any feedback.
I'm considering opening up my search for a 2006 MDX touring to out of state dealers. I'm seeing better prices in other locations. Has anyone had any experience buying from a dealer in another state? How does it work (tax, titling, etc)? Any pitfalls or issues? Any info would be helpful. Thanks
I'm a first-time MDX buyer (switching from a minivan...yippee!) Does anyone know how prices are going on the '07 MDXs? How much are they coming down (if at all?) from sticker price?
