Anyone know the current APR for The Honda CR-V?  I am wondering if they will offer 0.9% for the July 4 sales event?

You will get a better deal on a 2015, but supplies are getting thin, so if you want a specific color and trim, best to act soon.

Otherwise, wait for the 2016's to be released.

Your deal is 1050 below invoice minus dealers doc fee charge of $250. If you want further savings play out this month getting more dealerships involved on the last 2 days, last day of this month.

All depends on dealers, inventory and sales incentive numbers. 1500 below invoice might be it in your area.

    hi, Brian,
I got the quote from Chicago

    Here is the breakdown
    EXL AWD
    sale price $26,281
    destination $880
    doc fee $168.43
    electronic filing fee $25
    tax $1,641
    temp drive away $10

    out the door total $29,005.

IT is just first letter. So a little bit surprise. Very cheap..

    My local price 30500-31000 (MICHIGAN)
My local dealer said it should be hidden number. once I get all the way to Chicago is when they’ll let I know and by then I’ll have to purchase it… THEY hear of this happening all the time.

    How do you think?
Is it true? if it happen..how can I prevent for the deal BEFORE going Chicago.

    Thanks a lot

    hannah20 ,

Get in touch with that dealerships Internet manager. Tell mgr. you will buy vehicle if they fax over the bill of sale. sign it and leave a credit card deposit till you could drive over there and finalize the sale. Taking a dealers word and driving 100 or more miles is risky.

The above deal is 1310 below invoice minus dealers doc fee charge. Try to get the closer dealers to match or beat at the end of this month. If nobody in your area will do above deal consider the Chicago deal but only with a faxed bill of sale to you first .

The bill of sale should include the VIN so everyone is talking about a specific vehicle in inventory too.

Need help buying white 2015 Honda CR-V AWD Touring w/ navigation - live in San Diego and got some dealers from USAA (using their car buying service because will do my loan thru them - 1.5% for 60 months). Dealers will have to get this car from someplace else as they do not have them on the lot and USAA has given me these 3 dealers - two have discounted amounts off of MSRP? What is factory invoice? Thanks

    Brian,
i'm in market for EX-L AWD and i'm in atlanta, GA. Here till now the lowest quote I got is $27,471 which includes destination fee. (all other fees excluded). All the dealers here mandated accessory package which costs around $800-$900 which is killing the deal with taxes.
    1) First, is this a good price?
    2) Is there a better way to talk to dealers to remove this accessory package? Thanks

    1- NO

2- Yes thru the dealerships Internet dept. by phone.

Your deal above is $1000 below invoice minus dealers doc fee charge.

1- what added accessories are added to this price above?

2- How much is your state or dealers doc fee charge? $599 / $699 ?

3- How many dealerships are in your area?

Check out Dealer rater see what dealerships have good reviews then call there int/ mgr. / dept.

If my memory is correct Curry Honda might be near you. I helped 2 forum members buy Accords there. No complaints and pricing was good.

Thanks a lot for your reply,
    1) the accessory package includes: mud guards, nitrogen in tires, wheel locks, cargo mat and some paint thing.
    2)Doc fee is $699.
    3) near me there are around 10 dealers.

i'm confused, you are saying my price is $1000 below invoice? what price target I should shoot.

    Hi Brian,

I am in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and am looking to lease a 2015 Honda CRV EX AWD. The best price (and from our favorite dealership) we have been quoted is $25,687 plus taxes (7% Indiana), which includes all weather mats, safety first brake light (not even sure what this is??), splash guards and a few free oil changes. Is this a good deal or should I shop around more? The all weather mats are very important to me. At this price should I ask them also to include seat covers? We have dogs and I want to keep the interior clean. I really want to give them my business as my husband leased an accord from them last August and we were very pleased. I am also trading in my 2003 Ford Explorer Limited with 179,000 miles. The sales person said they would give us the higher of the KBB value at fair condition (which is around 3k) or the black book value that he looks up for the trade in value. Please let me know what you think!

    Thanks!

Your price is 1000 below invoice minus ridiculous 699 doc fee. = $301 below invoice.

A $1699 below your models invoice price will give you a 1000 below . Compensate those very high doc fee's by adding it onto your asking price. This makes it a wash on the bill of sale at the end. These accessories can be purchase online for fraction of the cost. Make dealer aware of that.

    http://www.collegehillshonda.com/

    https://www.cheaphondaparts.com/

    Mudguards =...................... 67
    nitrogen................................0
    cargo mat ..........................90
    wheel locks........................35
paint protection...................0 ..... vehicle has a baked on clear coat finish on the paint job ..... its a BS charge.

Invoice w dest charge = $28,471 minus your target price or lower ( 1699 ) = $26,772. Make this target price your ending sales number for the sale on that day. 1000 below this model is not asking much for a mid to end of summer 2015 model. Dealers should have more trunk money July 4th to push these cars off there lots cheaper if you cant pull trigger at months end.

$1000 below this model should be easy to obtain

    Good luck

3k for a 12 year old explorer w/ 179k. on a Trade in. If you could get that number from dealer that's very good. I would expect 1500 to 2k at best for a Trade to a dealer. keep that in mind.

The EX, awd Invoice is 26,037 w/ dest charge. I would shop around then give your fav/ dealer a shot to match or beat price. your current offer is 350 below invoice minus dealers doc fee. You definitely have some more negotiating to do. Most dealers wont give you 3k for your Explorer.

Email/ call and get your best prices from dealers before you discuss trade in. All weather mats can be bought online for 105 dollars.

Most good deals in NY / NJ range from 800 to 1200 below after taking doc fee's into consideration. NY doc 's are only 75 dollars opposed to NJ............. 299 to 499 doc fee.

    Email these dealerships in NY

Friendly , New Rochelle , Yonkers , Huntington (LI )

NJ ............Garden State, Auto-sport, Dch Paramus

Use the end of this month / July, 4th weekend to get to your target price. The party starts next week Monday going into Tuesday the 30th.

Hi Brian. I'm thinking about switching to CR-V EX-L AWD or Touring. I have a 2012 Subaru Forester Touring, but it's still kind of bare-bones. My wife is happy with it, especially during snow (VA), but it's missing new technology, even auto lights, that CR-V has. However, looks like 2016 Forester Touring is better equipped. And I read bout CR-V vibration. So - CR-V EX-L vs. 2016 Forester Touring? What do you think?

    Thanks.

The percentage of CRV vibration models is small. Don't let that affect your decision especially if your comparing 2016 models. I'm familiar with both 2015 models, drove both . The CRV and The Subaru would be on my short list if I was in the market for one.

Like most buyers your decision may come down to bigger engine, options you like more in one , or looks. Right now I give the edge to the Forester for its Turbo engine and safety features. The newly updated 2015 Forester is quicker and quieter inside cabin than previous years. Resale and crash scores on both models are excellent.

Thanks Brian. I forgot to mention that I was comparing CR-V with 2.5 X Forester, of course. Apples to apples. Going with 2.0 XT Touring over CR-V is a no-brainer, but it's around $36K and 2.5 X is good enough for my wife. So, I will be going for 2016 models and Forester seems to have been updated closer to 2015 CR-V (7" screen, etc.). Don't know about 2016 CR-V, but I like LaneWatch.

looks like after paying dealers high doc fee charge your at 398 above invoice. EXL fwd model is 27,301 w/ dest charge included. This is not a good deal. Get more dealerships involved. You can and will do a lot better. Target $800 to 1000 below your models invoice price. To get 1000 below on the exl model you need to subtract 1599 off the 27,301 invoice price. this makes dealers high doc fee a wash on the bill of sale.

Do the same with the touring model. check Edmunds invoice price and add the destination charge of 880, then subtract your target price of 1599. this gives you a 1k below invoice price.

    Good luck

Hello, first time car buyer here. I need some help here.
I am looking for 2015 CRV LX AWD model in Milwaukee, WI. So far I got quotes from 4-5 local dealers. The best one I received:
    Sale price: $23,728 + doc fee: $195 +  tax, title/ license.
Is it a good price? The dealer is only willing to add free car washes for life as a freebie (not helpful for me as I am here for only 3 years). I asked the dealer for $23728 as out of the door price. But they did not accept the offer saying that I am far from reality. I need a car soon.

Your at $343 below invoice minus dealers doc fee charge. Make your best deal on either Tuesday night which is June 30th ( end of the 2nd sales quarter ) w/ your 5 targeted dealerships or hold out till July 4th weekend then make your best deal. What your asking to buy the CRV for at is probably to low in your area. $500 to 800 should be very do-able. Play out this week then pull the trigger.

I would email/ call all targeted dealers maybe a few more ( leave your number ) with I buy today for $23,228 or $22,928. Then sit back at wait. At worst $23,728 is in the bag for you.

    Good luck

    Hi Folks,

I had a new question. The center console screen, in the 2015 Honda CR-V EX 2WD has DVD player ability? Is this correct? One dealer told me the car includes this and another dealer said it does not include it but can play CDs. Trying to figure out the real answer.

    Good deal.

Not sure your States dmv laws. Either dealer in other state will do registration / plates etc for you or they may send you home to do it yourself? Inquire with dealer.

What price is my target, I think I will definitely buy the car at July 4th. One dealer respond but didn't lower their price(25,289)but told me their fees is 10% of the price , and most just asked me which price I feel comfortable.

Go to the Make | Model section up top and drill down to the CR-V and plug in your zip code. TMV will show up (I like to "build my car" to dial the options in but Honda doesn't have many options typically so....).

Anyway, TMV is the price to meet or beat.

You have time - try soliciting some quotes from other dealers in your area.

And they sock you 10% of the price for fees? Maybe taxes but not "fees".
