I suspect they know i really don't want to ship my car so they may not be giving me good numbers . In New York I was told over a 100 less a month .

GLK 350 RWD?
.00111 MF and 58% residual.
I get $520/mo+tax with the base MF, $537/mo. with the marked-up money factor.
Looks like a decent deal, given the lease program on this model. I'd work on the money factor..
Does MB have a special method to compute lease payments?
I'm currently working with a MB dealer in a 2015 GLK250. The lease details: 36 months 12,000 miles Negotiated price 44929 sales tax 4403.04 dealer/tag fees 550 Down payment 2500 residual 60% MF .0025 (this is still a variable depending on my credit check) monthly payment 666
When I calcated the payment came to 602 and the dealer stated that MB uses a different calculation than what's shown on the Internet.

Lease calculations are standard. Nothing special about MB.
We we would need the MSRP to help calculate a payment. MF does seem marked up - standard MF on the GLK250 is between .00180 and .00220.
I originally got $602 per month using the lease calculator on another website. When I manually computed the monthly payment I get $682. To save me from pulling my hair, another set of eyes would help.

I sent you the print-out. If the payment was computed with the sales tax as part of the Cap cost (hope I'm using terminology correctly), that would increase the monthly payment.
Hello Everyone! First off let me say that I think it is awesome that everyone on here is helping others out with their leases. The information and advice you guys are providing is invaluable. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed in advance.

It would, but it's the wrong application of sales tax on a lease in WA.
I have received the following offer and need help evaluating it. 2015 GLK350 AWD MSRP - $49,995 Sale Price - $46,300 Residual Value - $26,230.50 Term/Miles - 36 months/12k miles Money Factor - .00083 Down Payment - $0 The salesman sent the following details in an email and it is riddled with issues (aside from spelling) . I have identified some, but I will put it here for you to see:
"36 month $0 down 12 k miles Residual $26, $26,230.50 Up front taxes $1672.62 Luxury tax 185.20 down payment tax 27.23 (rolled into payment) doc fee $389 Motor vehicle $401 (for 3 years) NJ Tire tax 7.50 MVP online reg 6.50 Money factor 0.00083 Discouted money factor for auto pay 0.00083 If you would like to go 48 months your payments go down to $685 "
As you can tell, I am in NJ. What do you guys think?
He said the payments would be $712/month. I think it is a horrible deal. I think there is room to go lower on the sales price. Also, the residual is much lower than he originally told us it would be when we first met. He told me it would be 59%, but if I am not mistaken, this is closer to 52%. Why there is a down payment tax on a zero down payment lease is beyond me. Also, the money factor should be .00073 with auto-pay but it is the same (this could have been a typo).
Hi, Great info. on this site............Thanks to all the contributors.
I'm in negotiations with a dealer right now...... I used the TMV calculator on this site, but it seems that other's must be paying below invoice prices judging from the numbers that I've seen here. The car that I'm looking at is: GLK350W4 MSRP: $52,055.00
The TMV price that I came up with showed three numbers: MSRP-$52,055.00, Invoice -$48,479.00, True Market Value Price - $48,548.00. Does this look OK, or should I be looking for more dealer incentives on top of this?
Not sure If I want to buy or lease either....... My credit score is excellent (around 825), and if I do lease, I'm thinking 36 mo. / 12K or 15K miles. I guess I'd do auto-pay, because it seems as though single pay leases do not provide much of a discount.
What would be the MF & residual value for these scenarios? Is my approach totally flawed?
I really appreciate all of the advice so far, but I received the "breakout" of how the dealer arrived at his per month payment is below. What are the starred items? Is this the dealer increasing the cap cost by some mischievous methods?

I don't see a payment quoted anywhere in there for the 36 month lease. .00083 is the base MF, but with an autopay discount, it should be .00073 Also, the residual for 36/12 is 58%, which is just under $29K, not what they came up with, assuming the MSRP is correct..
Hard to tell which charges are rolled in and which aren't.. but, I added up $1884 in charges to roll into the lease, and came up with $597/mo. (using correct residual).

MSRP $49600
RV 60%
RV $29760
Cap Cost $44949
Term 36
MF .0025
Cust Cash Down $4500
**Total Add Caps $1095
**Adjusted Cap Cost $42975.49
**Cash Cap Reduction $3048.51
Total Sales Tax $2235.55
Base Monthly Rental $548.94
Title Initial Fee $550
Amount Due at start $4500
Title Working Cash $4500
Total Monthly Payment $602.74
The $1095 is the bank fee - which is marked up from $795.
The adjusted cap cost is the amount used in the lease calc, while the cash cap reduction is the remainder of the $4500 used as a down payment.

.00083 MF and 58%/56% residual for 36 months.
Thanks! Is this the MF for auto-pay?
All of our evidence shows that you should get a .00010 discount for AutoPay.. That would make it .00073
He said the payments would be $712/month. I think it is a horrible deal. I think there is room to go lower on the sales price. I sent an email to the salesman and expressed my concerns. He confirmed that the residual was not correct, and said it would be $28,973.90 (about 58%). He also said the MF was a typo and that it should be .00073 with auto-pay. With that, he is still stating the payments will be $712.71. When I use that residual and MF on online calculators, I get payments that are lower. I will send an email asking for the payment to be checked because the math doesn't work. I think that my best bet is to attempt to get the sales price lowered. Right now we are at about -$3,695 off MSRP (about 7%). Most of the posts I find on forums show that consumers where able to negotiate better discounts on this vehicle. What are your thoughts?
Well............I just heard back from my sales rep. She said that the best that she could do was knock $1,000.00 off of the $52,055.00 MSRP. I guess she'll keep the car. She said that because a new model is being introduced, that dealers are holding onto the 2015 GLK's this makes no sense to me. Aren't they in the business to sell cars & not hold onto them? I have a call into another dealer now.................

Some dealers just don't want to sell cheap... your job is to find one that will.
Hi kyfdx, thanks again for all your help on this forum. Do you have the July numbers for the base GLK350 for 36mo at 12k mi? Any rebates that you are aware of? Thanks!

Need some help in analyzing this deal and would appreciate any thoughts. GLK350AWD (Premium, Multi Media, Heated Steering Wheel & Front Seats, Keyless Go, Lane Tracking) MSRP 50,490 (49,565+925 Destination&Delivery) Sales Price 47,620 Pre Paid Maintenance 975.00 36 Mo 12K miles/year Residual .58 Money Factor .0083 Acq Fee 795.00 Doc Fee 499.00 Adj Residual 29,849.70 (not sure what this adjustment is because 58% of sales price is 27,619.60) Gov't Fee 353.98 Tax (NJ) 1,569.53 Security Deposit 0 Down 0 Monthly 677.86 First Payment Waived (Summer Sale Event)
Residual and MF seem in line but the monthly seems high. I just now realized the residual shows "adjusted" and is 2,230 higher than a straight calculation). Have you seen this before? Using a straight .58 as residual, what does the monthly come to?

Using the selling price as the cap cost, I get $573.16/mo before tax. I assume that some of those extra costs (taxes, fees, etc.) are being rolled into the cap cost.
Residual is a percentage of MSRP, not selling price.
I'm trying to nab 2015 GLK RWD with msrp 50200 in CA (tax 8%) With the helpful info here, my calculation came out to be $597/month (57%,0.00075mf)
Question is 1. I'm returning my cls550 5 months early with early-return program. Would they have any effect on this new lease? 2. Since the car I'm looking for still has loads of stock in so.cal would any deal budge on dealing for less than $597? i.e. $580/month and zero drive off. lol

I'm currently working with a MB dealer in a 2015 GLK250. The lease details:
36 months 12,000 miles
Negotiated price 44929
sales tax 4403.04
dealer/tag fees 550
Down payment 2500
residual 60%
MF .0025 (this is still a variable depending on my credit check)
monthly payment 666
When I calcated the payment came to 602 and the dealer stated that MB uses a different calculation than what's shown on the Internet.
We we would need the MSRP to help calculate a payment. MF does seem marked up - standard MF on the GLK250 is between .00180 and .00220.

this is the CAP cost + $1095 - $3048.51

Residual and MF seem in line but the monthly seems high. I just now realized the residual shows "adjusted" and is 2,230 higher than a straight calculation). Have you seen this before? Using a straight .58 as residual, what does the monthly come to?
Residual is a percentage of MSRP, not selling price.

With the helpful info here, my calculation came out to be $597/month (57%,0.00075mf)
Question is
1. I'm returning my cls550 5 months early with early-return program. Would they have any effect on this new lease?
2. Since the car I'm looking for still has loads of stock in so.cal would any deal budge on dealing for less than $597? i.e. $580/month and zero drive off. lol
