I am looking at the EXL RES too. Here in NC. I used Lumberton Honda in Lumberton, NC. for my 04' oddy at cost. They've agreed over the phone to 29,900 (1k below invoice) for the truck. I think that's awsome. I saw several are getting this price. However, if you like me are looking soon, then WAIT one more week!!! Memorial day wk end honda does 2.9% apr for 60 mths!!! Now the best is 4.65% today. I just called....that makes a BIG difference, and the dealer will still give you the EXL RES for 1k below invioce, since am honda is doing the lower rate, it does not effect the price of the SUV... HOpe that info helps anyone.... Also am honda said labor day (then you can get an 06) they "usually" do the same 2.9%. I currently have 3.25% on my oddy so I won't buy unless it's 2.9% or lower. She said just wait a week...... Plus you will not get 1k below invoice; invoice if you are luckly on an 06' in sept... so memorial day and 1k below is an awsome deal!!!!! heidi
I'm planning to buy a Pilot EX-L next weekend in Oklahoma City. Although I'm from Colorado, I'm able to beat Denver area prices by $1,500+, and am able to use a free voucher to fly down and take delivery. As to finance incentives, I expect that there are some regional variations depending on buyer residency. My understanding is Colorado residents will be eligible for 1.9/2.9/3.9% financing for 36/48/60 months beginning 5/26 for Memorial Day Weekend. For those about to pull the trigger on a deal, you might want to ask your local Honda dealer about upcoming incentives in your area...it may definitely save you some $$ to wait until next weekend.
I am planning on holding out until the 2006 is out to get my pilot. Do you guys reckon Honda will still offer their 24/36/60 1.9/2.9/3.9 financing programs near the end of the year?
I kind of doubt it, but nobody on here will know for sure.
I was going to wait for the 2006, but as best I can tell from other Pilot sites, the '06 will be 10+% higher in price out of the shoot (some amount of MSRP increase with the feature creep, and then less wiggle room under MSRP for sales prices, for a $3000-$4000 increase over the '05).
I am wondering the same thing. I have an oddy now, but love the pilot. I want an EXL RES too. I've done some research and the advantages of an 05 are this: 1.Honda ALWAYS does LOW (1.9 or 2.9 APR for memorial day wk end) they would not say which; legal reasons...but one they said. Also you may or may not get a low rate like that for an 06 (no reason to "move" them) untill at LEAST feb of 07. 2. Also, I called my dealership to see if I could get a deal like a few on this forum of 29,900 (1k BELOW) invoice. They said YES (within maybe 2 minutes) 3. With the rates that low, you are getting a heck of a deal 4. you will NOT get an 06 below invoice, invoice IF you are lucky 5. There are NO major changes to 06' (they did that for 05) why pay about $600 more in invoice..so really $1,600 more?? (1k below + additional cost of new model year) 6. if you buy or lease really, 1 yr "older" will not matter as much as your miles and care you take of it anyway. *** and that APR, what tops that???
I am waiting on a call from the finance mgmr; my former salesman...he said rates for the wk end are out thurs, so call your honda dealer thurs, they will FLY off the lots at 1.9 to 2.9% for 60 mths and 1k below invoice..and my dealer (a small town about 30 min; maybe 30k people) has 10 on the lot!!
post below your note about 05 vs 06 is RIGHT I'd get one NOW...
Honda told me that they usually DO NOT offer low apr for new models, sometimes "labor day" but they said do NOT count on it. THey reccomended memorial day.. and I called my dealership I bought my oddy from; 1-2 min later they agreeded to 1k below invoice... and EXL RES for 29,900 !!! and they have 10 on the lot!
I'd buy now....call your dealership for wk end rates thurs or friday.. I'm planning to buy this wk end
you cannot beat the rates or below invoice! Plus there are NO changes to 06' but the msrp and cost will be at least 1k more honda told me and the dealership (the one that agreeded to 1k below and I got my oddy last yr from them at cost) said NO to cost on an 06.
I have to agree that you will get your best deal now on an 05 Pilot - below invoice pricing and low financing. Buying an 06 before Nov/Dec will cost more money. However, there are changes coming for the 06 above and beyond cost. Whether or not you consider them significant or worth the money is a matter of personal opinion. Hondapreview.com and at least one dealer I have spoken to have said that considerable exterior body styling changes are in order. Additionally, side curtain airbags, an upgraded Navi system, XM radio and standard foglights (probably on the EX) are new for 06. There has been some talk of changing from perforated leather to solid, but others have said they have added a pleat to the perforated leather because of the complaints about the leather sagging in the seat.
Elsewhere, the word is that Honda will make major changes in the 06 model year. This information from www/hondapreview.com
The Pilot is set for a mid model change in 2006. From what we've been hearing the styling upgrade should be fairly extensive. You can also expect to see VCM (Variable Cylinder Management), Curtain Airbags and 2WD trim levels. XM you ask? We don't have a confirmation but we believe it will be standard on select models. The first 2006 arrivals will be in September.
Having seen Honda completely redo the Ody, introduce the Ridgeline, I'm leaning towards believing that the 06 Pilot will be completely redo. Based on the newer chassis, completely redone etc etc
Thank you all for your great posts and replies. I hate this current dilemma that I am in. I am completely torn between waiting it out or getting it now at such a great deal. Okay I am just going to bite my tongue and hold out until September. They do such a good job of not revealing any of the new pictures for the 2006 as I have endlessly search the net for more info. I for one would really hope that the front exterior somehow get changed where it stands apart from the CRV. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm expecting the 2006 to have "Ridgeline Like" styling, based on some internet gossip. To me, that means it will look more like a Nissan (squared off look).
Financing is supposed to be 1.9/2.9/3.9 starting Thursday, I'm assuming for 3/4/5 year loans. Got that from a dealer.
I was planning on waiting for the 06 Pilot but after reading about below cost and the 1.9/2.9/3.9 financing I decided it was a good time to buy. I sent about 20 email price requests out Sun nite. By Mon morning I had half a dozen replies including one for 30,300 with navigation and the color I wanted. Most of them were quoting invoice. Several dealers said the 1.9/2.9/3.9 financing began tomorrow. I sent in my application and hope to have the deal done tomorrow or Thurs. I definitely think Honda is making is hard NOT to buy right now.
Your finance figures 1.9/2.9/3.9 for 36/48/60 months for Memorial Day Weekend beginning Thursday 5/26 confirm what I was told about 2 weeks ago from a similar source. I really wish 2.9 was for 60 months. I'm going to purchase this weekend and probably do 2.9 for 48 months..this saves $1100 interest vs going 3.9 for 60 months. I'm looking at $1100 under invoice for an EX-L in Oklahoma City ($28,489)...it beats anything in the Denver area (where I live) by at least $1500.
Location does make a big difference it seems. Twin Cities dealers are at invoice now, but not willing to go much under. I'm also planning on buying this weekend with the special financing.
Check different locations. I live in a small town with only one Honda dealer and they would only go $2,000 of MSRP. It's worth a delivery fee of a few hundred dollars if you can get a better price. You just have to figure that in to the bottom line.
I was at Penske today and they wouldn't offer me $2500 below sticker price. Can you tell me who your salesman was? Also, Airport Marina Honda in LA offered the same vehicle for about $3000 under sticker price. I might just buy it for Airport Marina Honda because they have a great atmosphere there. There were no pressure when i got to the dealership. I was helped by an asian salesman and he was so honest and very knowledgeable. I am still debating on price or customer satisfaction because if I choose price then I will continue to look somewhere else and if I choose customer satisfaction then I will be at Airport Marina Honda.
Yesterday evening, I picked up my wife's new Pilot EX (cloth) from Mahwah Honda. I went through their internet department and was given an initial quote of $27098 + $118 doc fee. Invoice is $27097 plus destination, so they were effectively eating the destination fee. Nobody came close except Paramus Honda said "come in and we'll beat their number" after initially quoting me $27112. However, they said that after three calls with the salesperson where he kept having to go back and check with the sales manager on every question I was asking about the numbers (I was leasing). I couldn't be bothered to go in there without a firm number so I went to Mahwah on Saturday to put in my deposit. I wanted to take delivery this coming Saturday, but the salesman said that if I picked it up by Tuesday, he would get a $50 spiff and he would take another $50 off the price to compensate me for turning in my previous lease a week early. This made the final price $27048 + doc and registration (3 years up front in NJ for a total of $253). Using the current AHFC lease numbers of .00137 MF and 62% residual, the payments came out to $319 a month with zero down. I gave them $698 at signing for 1st month payment, registration and doc fee and I was out the door. No pressure, no pushing of add-ons, accessories, etching, road side assistance, gap insurance or anything. The deal was negotiated through emails with all my detailed questions answered each time, plus one phone call to clear up some final questions about the lease calculation. A 5 star experience!

I seem to be unable to find any dealer in the Twin Cities area to accept an offer below invoice on a Pilot EX-L. I know several people in other areas of the country who have obtained a price significantly below invoice, but I'm wondering if anyone in the Twin Cities area has ever obtained a price under invoice whether it's $100 or $500. Thanks.
Just started to request quotes yesterday. When possible, I was able to add a comment about what I am looking for (there is no mystery for me as to the type of car, trim line and options I want). I mentioned the ~$1000 below Invoice (including Destination) that other have posted and I am using this as a launch pad. I made it clear that I know that Honda financing and pricing may be sweeter this weekend, else I would keep to my plans of buying something new later in the year when the need really arises.
So far, one email quote which is $377 over invoice from one dealer. Another dealer called me and I explained what I knew and what I wanted. He insisted that a dealer "show me around" the Pilot, and I explained that I have done all my research, have taken the test-drive and have been a passenger in the Pilot before. He was still hoping that I would come down for the hard sell to make sure I really knew what I wanted before he would give me a price quote. Even though I was supposed to get the "internet Quote" from him, he said that to my advantage, that all pricing was done on the showroom floor. He claimed that they would beat my best price.
Regarding the $29,900 paid by others for an '05 EX-L RES, he insisted that that must have been a teaser quote from less-than-honest dealers. I mentioned that others on an automotive forum that I regularly visit, clearly reported that these were the prices paid including destination. He explained to me that in his 16 years of sales, that no one has ever told the truth on what they REALLY paid for the car they bought and that unless someone is your family member, to not believe it. I responded that although that may have been his experience, that the spirit of these reports were meant to be honest and not a "p1ss1ng match" where everyone gives their best fish story.
I thanked him for his time and noted that since he is in the position to beat all REAL offers, that naturally I wouldn't come to see him until other offers are made.
I am not complaining about the phone conversation, just sharing it. If he has been a salesman for 16 years, then he has obviously made enough money to survive. I made it clear that I didn't need to be sold on the vehicle or the range of options, that I knew exactly what I wanted. That didn't seem to sway him as he intimated that I needed a salesman to educate me and protect me from my staunch position.
Honestly, I will shoot for one of those sweet deals, but am not pressured to buy. I am not in a rush and have my CR-V, Blazer and mini-Bago to choose from for now.
I'd like to buy a pilot ex in phila area memorial day wk. I've got prices of 27,500 to 28,495...lowest is essentially invoice plus destination amount....anyone getting under invoice? Also none indicated Memorial day special financeing for Pilots.... Anyone know if the special financing applies to pilots? thanks
Yes, I bought the EXL RES for $29,850. This includes destination charge. Look at my previous post #4000 above for details. This is in Southern California.
"The papers are on the way via Fedex for me to sign. 1.9 for 36 mos, 2.9 for 48, and 3.9 for 60 mos starting tomorrow."
I do not doubt that you are getting 2.9 for 48 months. I only only know it is not on the Honda website as of 7AM today EST. That's all.......I hope you are correct as I would like to get the same deal.
I received the below from several Honda Dealers regarding their specials for Memorial Day Weekend. Looks like it doesn't apply to Pilots. This is in Southern California.
"SPECIAL FINANCE AND LEASE RATES THIS WEEK * NO DOWN PAYMENT REQUIRED:
ALL ACCORDS -- ALL CIVICS -- ALL HYBRIDS -- ALL ELEMENTS -- ALL INSIGHTS 1.9% FOR 3 YRS....2.9% FOR 4 YEARS... 3.9% FOR 5 YEARS ALL OTHER NEW HONDAS - 5.59% FOR UP TO 5 YEARS.
AS LOW AS 5.59% FOR CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED HONDAS WHICH INCLUDE HONDAS 100,000 MILE WARRANTY. "
Invoice price on an EX-L is $29,589 including destination. Without destination, it's $29,074, which might explain the differences you see. If you get a quote, make sure it includes destination.
If you have any questions about invoice pricing, go to edmunds.com where you can perform the research yourself. Invoice pricing can and does change from time to time.
The papers are on the way via Fedex for me to sign.
5pm EST and still no Honda backed Pilot purchase financing..............
I'm buying my Pilot out of state so they had to Fed Ex the papers to me. I received them today and signed the loan agreement with Honda for 1.9 for 36 mos. No money down. They even financed the sales tax. Strange that they're not advertising the Pilot. I guess I'd just call and ask the dealerships. I did get an email from another dealership and it didn't mention the Pilot for the financing but the individual dealerships I spoke with acknowledged the rates for a Pilot.
bought an EX-L for 28,869 (plus tax and license of course, no extra accessories) at Airport Marina Honda in So Cal. That's $250 over their cost (invoice plus delivery minus dealer holdback). Took some negotiating but in the end I think I was satisfied and so were they.
'05 w/Navi. Black/Saddle. about 12.4 % under sticker and managed to get 4.74%/48 mos. financing backed by Honda. It took a while to get the deal but it was done in the end in NJ. A very nice vehicle! I hope it has the vaunted "Honda Quality" I average 25 to 30K Miles a year so I hope it can take it. I also negotiated 5/100/0 Honda Care down to $795 plus tax. I did not want to put it in the payment, but, will probably go back and pay cash for it after the holidays. I do not fear the mechanicals so much as the electronics on this truck. It may be a waste of money to some but with a top of the line model it may be "peace of mind". Cheers!
I just bought an EX-L for invoice which was $29,589.00 (no dvd or nav). I got the invoice price from Consumer Reports. I also bought a magazine of Consumer Cars and Trucks which was helpful as well. Live in PA but bought the pilot in Ohio with their special financing this weekend 3.9 for 60 months. No special financing in PA this weekend.
I need your advice. I live in the Twin Cities and I could get $800 under invoice in Milwaukee. I then got a dealer in Madison to match it and was gung ho to go get it, but my wife is working this weekend so I can't go down there, plus they charge an $89 service fee and I'd drop about $100 in gas between driving my car down and back and the Pilot back, so the difference was really $600 under invoice. So even if I could drive down there, I'd also have to figure in my time down and back, the chance that the car isn't there and then the fact that I have to take care of the registration in Minnesota.
So I checked locally and there were no takers. Invoice was the best I got. Then I talked to a guy from Rochester Honda (Less than an hour away) and he agreed to $300 under invoice (he started at invoice) with NO service fee. My friend at work thinks I should wait until the end of summer or fall because he feels prices will be lower and that I am rushing to get one just because I want one. I definitely do want to get one, but I've been researching for at least 3 months now and I think this is about the best deal I can get in the Twin Cities area. Based on everything I have read online, I don't think this is a rush to judgment making me pay a lot more than what I would be able to get in the Twin Cities later this model year.
Now I know a lot of you are going to trash me for the extra effort and tell me to just make a deal, but what I want to know is am I off-base to feel that prices in the Twin Cities area aren't going to go much lower based on the continued denials I have got from every local dealer to not go below invoice? Is the fact that I want to get the Pilot now clouding my ability to reason?
You might be right in that prices might go lower later, but I don't think that will happen until inventories start to dwindle - at which point you risk not getting the color/model combination you want.
I called my local dealer in Boston MA and they didn't have any special financing on Pilots. I'm going to try a few other New England states and see if they have it.
I'm amazed by the number of Honda dealers that seem to be unaware of the 1.9/2.9/3.9 financing. On Sun nite I sent out about 20 emails requesting a quote. By Mon morn I had several replies including one from Hennessey Motors in northern Atlanta. Theirs was the cheapest. For an 05 EX-L with navi they quoted 30,373 including destination. The next closest was Mike Pruitt Honda of Akron, OH. Theirs was $30,986. No one else was even under 31,500. I didn't dicker. I accepted their offer with a $384 doc and processing fee, and a $3 lemon law fee. I asked about the special financing and he checked on it and found it was available. Since then I've received a half a dozen other emails mentionin the financing. One did not include the Pilots. Most said all hondas. It's going to cost $425 to have the car delivered but is worth it. The papers were FedEx'd to me yesterday. I returned them immediately. They received them today. They are putting my real camera and tow hitch on. Hopefully I'll receive the car next week. Very easy transaction. No sitting in a dealers all day waiting for them to take the offer to the manager. What a pain. I'll definitely do my business again this way. If any one has any questions, pls email me.
Just bought my Silver 2005 Pilot with Navi in the baltimore washington area. Sent out lots of emails with Invoice and Holdback Info. Bought from Honda of Bowie in Maryland. Sticker was 35,432 and paid 30,651 (includes destination). Came with black pin stripe, wheel locks and mud guards. OTD price with tax, tags and title was 32,458 and got 3.9% financing for 60 months. Email if you want dealers name. Great SUV!
Of course prices will go lower as we near the end of the model year. The question is by how much. Given American Honda's special financing this weekend (and generally rising interest rates), it seems unlikely you'll save much, if any, by waiting.
Yes. The "invoice" is 30,422 + 515= 30,922, so 29,900 is 1k below invoice you have to pay dest charge.. I've ALWAYS gotten invoice; this will be the first below, but I TRUST my honda dealer, The guy I spoke with WAS my salesman, and is now in finance. So he makes NO commission on a deal. I called and they know me, I have all my service done there, etc. I called and just asked, said I'd seen people on the internet getting that low, and wondered if it's possible. They know I have the credit (I've been told 1/10 people who walk into a dealership actually have the cash/credit to buy), they know me, so that's not an issue. He called the sales mgmr and in 2 minutes, he said "heidi for you, we have 3 on the lot in the EX L RES, we will sell for 1k below at 29,900". They STILL have holdbacks and ARE still making money +++ they make MORE money on your trade in!!!!!! So as that "16 yr salesman" said, he's full of crap..sorry. but YES you can get below invoice. It's rare, but I KNOW you can get at invoice, I always have. My familys' had honda's since 1986, 14 of them between my parents, sister and myself...ALL for invoice this will be the second below. My mom got an 02' accord before the 03's came out Special edition w/ everything for 18k !!! that was like 5k below invoice... As you said "It's not a pissing match"; we are here to help each other and give advice... I'd DROP that stupid salesman very fast! I even e-mailed another dealer I heard was good, they agreed to 29,900 over the e-mail.... so keep on truckin'....
I still have not decided on an 06 or 05 I have an 04 oddy now, so no hurry to trade, but the 06 will be more $$ and I will get at invoice, not below...now am honda did say labor day they do some good apr's but not as often as memorial day. also, my mom may be mistaken, but she said the add in the arkansas paper said 1.9% for 60 months this wk end; which is what am honda told me. I don't want 3.9. I have 3.25% now and that was in feb w/ no trouble. I got my oddy at cost EX cloth 24,700 with mud guards and pin stripe for no charge from lumberton honda; the one that said they'd do 29,900 for the EXL RES with dest charge.....So I won't buy unless it's 2.9 or lower.....
Rob, I know what I paid for my oddy and all the Honda's in our family. Now, I have not bought the pilot yet, but as I said earlier, I TRUST my honda dealer. They know I'd throw a FIT with THREE small kids to drive over 30 min each way to be lied to. I have all my service there, etc.. I had a mazda, I hated, was 1k upside down; kbb best "exec" value was 1k short, they paid it off AND I got an 04 oddy (in feb 04) for $24,700 (COST With dest charge included) at 3.25% apr. I'd missed the 2.9 for 60 mths the day before, but my credit allowed me to get a 3.25 anyway. Honda TOLD me the other day they do 1.9 or 2.9 for SIXTY not 48 mths, I could not afford that payment... I do 60 mths.. I have a rate WITH am honda now; current account of 3.25% for 60 months. The finance guy; that was a former (and mine) salesman, is now the finance mgmr. He told me that this week the best am honda is doing is 4.64% for 60 months; that is with exec credit... but he gets specials on thrus or friday for the wk end and as of 10am today, they'd (am honda) had not published ANY rates. but he did expect to get a "special" rate. if not, they will soon, they have to move those cars. Check w/ banks, a local got 3.25% (same as me) but through his local bank and paid $32,400 for an EXL RES with sports package. Look I am a solider's wife, I am not here to waste my time telling people crap. DROP that dealership. Some are HORRIBLE; such as Bryan honda (fayetteville, nc) I've complained to am honda and filled complaints too... some are good. Rob, if you are in NY, drive SOUTH dude... NC is only about 10 hrs from NYC.... I am in the NC southern area...That's a little far, I know, but the idea, may be to get out of NY?? I don't know. Or use the dealer's offers out of state to get your local dealerships to go down? e-mail up to as far away as you'd be willing to drive, or have delivered. Lumberton Honda in Lumberton, NC, is whom I used to buy my oddy... and they quoted me 29,900. Sanford honda said they'd match it too for the EXL RES. but not w/ the sports pkg, I tried to get them to throw it in, since i'd have to drive 1 hr, they said no, but they'd do 29,900 I'd look elsewhere, again, a little drive south could save you a lot.... Heidi

Plus you will not get 1k below invoice; invoice if you are luckly on an 06' in sept... so memorial day and 1k below is an awsome deal!!!!!
heidi
I am planning on holding out until the 2006 is out to get my pilot.
Do you guys reckon Honda will still offer their 24/36/60 1.9/2.9/3.9 financing programs near the end of the year?
Thanks
I was going to wait for the 2006, but as best I can tell from other Pilot sites, the '06 will be 10+% higher in price out of the shoot (some amount of MSRP increase with the feature creep, and then less wiggle room under MSRP for sales prices, for a $3000-$4000 increase over the '05).
I want an EXL RES too. I've done some research and the advantages of an 05 are this:
1.Honda ALWAYS does LOW (1.9 or 2.9 APR for memorial day wk end) they would not say which; legal reasons...but one they said. Also you may or may not get a low rate like that for an 06 (no reason to "move" them) untill at LEAST feb of 07.
2. Also, I called my dealership to see if I could get a deal like a few on this forum of 29,900 (1k BELOW) invoice. They said YES (within maybe 2 minutes)
3. With the rates that low, you are getting a heck of a deal
4. you will NOT get an 06 below invoice, invoice IF you are lucky
5. There are NO major changes to 06' (they did that for 05) why pay about $600 more in invoice..so really $1,600 more?? (1k below + additional cost of new model year)
6. if you buy or lease really, 1 yr "older" will not matter as much as your miles and care you take of it anyway.
Heidi
I'd get one NOW...

and EXL RES for 29,900 !!! and they have 10 on the lot!

Onward,
Rob
I've got prices of 27,500 to 28,495...lowest is essentially invoice plus destination amount....anyone getting under invoice?
Also none indicated Memorial day special financeing for Pilots....
Anyone know if the special financing applies to pilots?
thanks
Spyderred.
I do not doubt that you are getting 2.9 for 48 months. I only only know it is not on the Honda website as of 7AM today EST. That's all.......I hope you are correct as I would like to get the same deal.
"SPECIAL FINANCE AND LEASE RATES THIS WEEK * NO DOWN PAYMENT REQUIRED:
ALL ACCORDS -- ALL CIVICS -- ALL HYBRIDS -- ALL ELEMENTS -- ALL INSIGHTS
1.9% FOR 3 YRS....2.9% FOR 4 YEARS... 3.9% FOR 5 YEARS
ALL OTHER NEW HONDAS - 5.59% FOR UP TO 5 YEARS.
AS LOW AS 5.59% FOR CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED HONDAS WHICH INCLUDE HONDAS 100,000 MILE WARRANTY. "
Spyderred.
Thx.
If you have any questions about invoice pricing, go to edmunds.com where you can perform the research yourself. Invoice pricing can and does change from time to time.

5pm EST and still no Honda backed Pilot purchase financing..............
In the NYC/LI area, no one wants to play or even look at anything near the 29,9K that others are getting for the EX-L with RES.
According to one dealer, you are lying to me to maintain your pride.
Rob
Since then I've received a half a dozen other emails mentionin the financing.
One did not include the Pilots. Most said all hondas. It's going to cost $425 to have the car delivered but is worth it. The papers were FedEx'd to me yesterday. I returned them immediately. They received them today. They are putting my real camera and tow hitch on. Hopefully I'll receive the car next week.
Very easy transaction. No sitting in a dealers all day waiting for them to take the offer to the manager. What a pain. I'll definitely do my business again this way.
If any one has any questions, pls email me.
Heidi
I know what I paid for my oddy and all the Honda's in our family.
Sanford honda said they'd match it too for the EXL RES. but not w/ the sports pkg, I tried to get them to throw it in, since i'd have to drive 1 hr, they said no, but they'd do 29,900
I'd look elsewhere, again, a little drive south could save you a lot....
